Used to be one of my favorite companies in the industry... but now they steal from backers to fund other projects... they have multiple millions of dollars in crowdfunded games that are late with no communication for months, p3 paints have not been shipped, and they use models from games for other products before they have even shipped the original games.

Don't know what happened that turned them into legal thieves but that is what they are now.

I backed a Steamforged project on Kickstarter and it seems that I (along with thousands of other people) are not going to see anything for our not inconsiderable payments, because Steamforged have essentially stopped communicating and do not seem like they are going to deliver anything. From doing a little research online, it seems like they have taken the money people have paid for these projects and used it to fund other projects that are more lucrative for them.

Absolutely awful, they appear to be stealing people's pledges for Bardsung 2 in order the fund their other projects. It's well overdue (supposedly should have been delivered 6 months ago) and no updates for ages and any attempts to contact them are met with silence.

They never deliever, just scam people to reinvest money

Do not waste your money buying anything on crowdfunding from SFG through Gamefound. They have stolen my money from the Euthia Crowdfunding by refusing to send my game, or refunding me. No response from their Help team for several months.

This company has horrible communication if anything goes wrong. I've been waiting on a crowd funded project for over 3 years. That's a 2 year delay. Public communication is scarce and not transparent, they don't respond to individual requests at all. Stay way

Do not buy from this scamming company and definitely do not back one of their crowdfunded projects. They will take your money, not fulfil pledges, offer zero communication and when you ask for a refund you will be hit with a wall of silence as they "look into your situation" for over a month.
If i could rate them lower than 1 star i would.

I have been waiting for a reply from their customer service for almost 3 months. Have paid up everything over a year ago and requested a refund. Nothing. Don't touch this company until they sort themselves out.

Do not support this company, sitting on millions of dollars of crowdfunding money that they refuse to communicate about after years of delay.

Warmachine is a great game but bad customer service and foolish packing practices makes it impossible to receive parts that aren't broken and generally months of waiting for replacement parts.

I backed the board game "Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion." I paid €300, plus shipping and VAT, for the "Apex Pledge" in the Kickstarter campaign.

A) This extensive edition consisted of so many components that it was shipped in two packages. While I received the first package in April, the second was never shipped (I only received tracking information for one shipment). I had to file a complaint, but I finally received the missing parts three months later.

B) After-sales service is a joke. SFG offers a PDF version of the rulebook. This digital version differs from the printed edition. I asked SFG support which version was the newer/revised one. Support’s reply: "the PDF will always be the most up to date version of this :)"
Yet the PDF is dated 2023 (three years prior to release), contains more errors, includes unresolved cross-references, and doesn't even have a table of contents! Obviously the customer support did not check back with the developers but gave me his personal opinion. It is UNFORTUNATE that only an older beta version of the manual is available. But the fact that SFG support brazenly lies to customers is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.

Worthless company. Raised millions of dollars in crowdfunding and has ghosted every backer in every campaign. They are either terrible at their jobs or going bankrupt and won't tell anyone.

I placed a preorder on 28/6/24.
"An email notification will be emailed to you with the tracking number shortly"

Nothing for 1 year. then was informed of trade wars between usa and china, hence the delays.

Fast forward this year, I realized I still haven't received my order. went to check, the second reprint was out like months ago.

I went to check my order on steamforge page, it shows "It's on its way". So i went to email them.

Was told me its delivered on march 2025. with no proof of delivery, no notification of tracking number, no notification of delivery, no nothing.

I’m on the helldivers campaign. They just slashed most of the team and shelved a lot of projects. These guys just rug pulled for 3 million dollars. IMO a lawsuit is in order if they do not deliver in October.

Really want to like this company. Ordered a week ago with the website saying ships within a few days. Got a response to an email updating my address but silence when I ask about an ETA.

If you can't keep up with the demand of a single item then your focus is in the wrong place. I know you were handed a turd by privateer but this really isnt good enough.

Waiting for the Monster Hunter Iceborne Kickstarter for years... I generally don't do this kind of reviews, but since their core business is to make Kickstarters, and since they continue to just spit half truths in each new update, and since they DID NOT GIVE US AN UPDATE FOR A MONTH, I think that the least I can do is to give them a bad reviews, hoping others will read this when they are going to fund their future Kickstarters and being discouraged in funding them. Using CNY as an excuse for another delay it's insulting, since they routinely make affairs with China and they know well that CNY exhists and has to be taken in account for logistics.

Just waited a little bit more than 3 months for broken guild ball minis. with the sent package, it´s clear they don´t give a damn. You need no degree to see that the minis will break packaged like this. this is an absolute joke. DO NOT BUY THERE!!!

For background, I print resin models for myself, and for friends. The quality of the models that Steamforged Games is content sending people is not any kind of standard I would even find acceptable to give as a gift for free. Models that have clearly not been allowed to have the IPA fully dry before curing and come out shiny and with muddied detail. Models that have supports still left on them, as well as support marks left on them from when said supports were removed. Shipping a warjack with a pit/hole in the body due to a printing error. They even ship models with obviously misshapen parts, either from printing incorrectly, heat, or some other factor. For the latter issue, I've found I've had to use hot water to anneal the misshapen parts and bend them into the correct position (often a thin part, such as a rifle, sword, or bipod).

On top of all this, I didn't even get everything I've paid for. The Winter Korps Core Expansion is missing a model, and a Mini Crate mini that I was charged for back in October still has not shipped to me.

Not only that, their customer service is non-existent. Even when you try to get things resolved, there's far too much automation, canned responses, and nothing replies about there being too much shipping volume nationwide, when no other company has ever given me issues like this, nor provided such excuses. I have a ticket for replacing a model open, and it's sat for 10 days with no response. That's well outside the estimate they gave of 5 days to deal with the backlog of requests from the Christmas break they went on.

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I like the Warmachine IP, and I like the way that they're handling the rules and the legacy models, making the rules largely free in their app, and offering STLs to be able to print legacy models. But their own printing service is atrocious, and I know I could do better (despite their poor pre-support work on models. People I've talked to have said they just manually support, because SFGs pre-supports are very hit or miss). Why do I know I could do better? Because I don't settle for doing things by half measures. If it's not good enough, I do it again until I get it right. And SFG should take the same approach.

Terrible experience, avoid at all costs

I´m giving two stars purelly on the somewhat nice design, few games that are playable and that they are not outright scam.

Steamforged Games are known for somewhat lacking quality of gameplay (not always), not being great to bring the original PC gameplay onto board, have terrible and slow custommer suport, use predatory and FOMO Kickstarter strategies, while NEVER delivering on time - in generall you can count they will be late by at least a year.

In generall there is a lack of care and quality controll - they make great, game accurate sculptures - which will often have problems with lack of details or are made in way that is nonsensical to the original. Same goes for texts that mention the lore of original material - often sounding generic (even A.I. like) while having blatantly wrong passages. Sadly the same goes for quality - they have a really good sculpting team again, but mostly the larger models often come warped or broken.

Add to that, that they are visibly unable to learn or be straight with their customers - they always put the first fulfilling date soon, inform about delays only few weeks before they should start to fulfill, keep reopening and adding to the pledges, often by kickstarter exclusives that can come over a year after the campaign started and the pledges are supposed to be closed.

And again, all the problems with campains that are running now they have had in all previous ones i known off - they do not learn nor step up.
