I was told about renters rights in 2014


I was told about renters rights in 2014 after I sold my condo. I was told by the apartment manager at an apartment complex that it is in every rental agreement in California that renters have the RIGHT to a quiet and peaceful life in that apartment complex and others. I then needed to address that same issue at another apartment complex just recently when the Apartment Manager said it was not their responsibility to give all tenants a quiet and peaceful life. She said it was not their responsibility. I wanted to be able to show other renters their rights if they had a similar issue. I spoke with the Captain of the Police Department and he spoke with the City Attorney to verify that right of a renter. My current apartment complex manager even told me 5 times that she didn’t care,

Very satisfied with my purchases.

I purchased Patent, Copyright, and Trademark book, the Copyright solo book, and Trademark book. All these books are very informative and thorough. They don't leave anything out, that you need to know. You can't go wrong with purchasing one of Nolo.com books. I'm super satisfied and recommend.

Books were helpful and what I expected

Books were helpful and what I expected. I did order a book of your's through Thriftbooks, which had a disk with it, but the disk was a 3x5 floppy and I have NO way to use it!!

Long time loyal customer, dissappointed

I have used Nolo for more than 30 years. Generally their books are great. But when California rental/eviction law changed in 2024 after I purchased the 2024 Evictions book I went looking for updates on the web site.
I tried the chat, only to be abruptly cut off the moment the representative found out that I wasn't looking for a lawyer. I was so dissuaded by the obvious sales tactic and failure to back up the product that I made the effort to post about this very disappointing experience.
