I’ve just finished my treatment with STD and overall I’m happy with the results. I can’t fault the results, they are almost exactly as they predicted. Which I’m happy with! I also really liked the app and the speed on response from the team at STD. They were always super quick to reply to questions or feedback, and you can easily track past conversations from the different stages of your treatment.

My issue though, it just with the time my treatment took to complete. It was predicted as 9months (which was already longer than other companies), but in the end I’m closer to 14 months which for me is a big difference. You get used to the aligners but at the end of the day they are annoying, and you want to get through the treatment as quick as possible. I understand that teeth move differently, and they explained this at the start but it felt slow with trays being changed every 2 weeks (vs 1 elsewhere), and then the added time for ‘refinements’ to get me to the end results. I also had a go back and forth with the STD team for a month to argue that my upper teeth needed more movement – which they eventually agreed with after doing another 3D scan. this also added on time.

Having spoken to other people who either went with Invisalign or another online competitor, they completed theirs in half my time of mine, if not quicker. Caveat: I’m not a dentist, but my assumptions is I could have completed the treatment quicker elsewhere and received the same results.

In summary: I’m satisfied with the results, It just took longer than planned and in hindsight I probably should have gone with a different company to achieve the results quicker.

This was a big and expensive decision, but I really wanted to improve my teeth. STD have been amazing for several reasons:

- They give you realistic expectations. I was never going to have 100% perfect teeth BUT they ARE much better and I’m happy with my smile!

- Their customer service is ridiculously good. Quick replies, endless patience and solid advice. They deliver!

- They really want you to succeed FOR YOU and not just for business.

- Very good value for money.

I have had some serious overcrowding with my teeth ever since I was a child, as I have a narrow palette. After my first experience with fixed braces as a teen, my teeth relapsed - so I was cautious going into new treatment, particularly as my teeth are so stubborn.
However, Straight Teeth Direct have been incredibly patient and professional - and provided me reassurance at each stage.
I'm also really busy so attending countless in-person appointments isn't for me, and I found their app-based treatment and consultation much easier and quicker. The monthly check-ins were straight-forward, and the reviews were always prompt. And if I had any extra concerns or questions during my monthly check-ins, the dentists were always happy to discuss with me.
It's been a long journey and I'm at the end of my treatment now - and I'm finally happy with my smile.

When you are going through treatment you will think STD are the best company in the world. Then you finish your treatment and realise they are not fit for purpose. I've spent nearly 18 months on treatment that was going to take 10 months and my teeth are in an unstable and dangerous position according to 2 dentists that I've seen. My teeth do not touch at all and they now have to relapse so that I can get them sorted. Absolute waste of money and so damaging. Avoid at all costs.

Truly excellent from day 1 and now ongoing to my retainers. Any issues were promptly and clearly resolved, staff are friendly and actually went above and beyond for me when my treatment took longer than initially expected (this is common and you are told about it at the start so I didn’t mind). So so happy with my teeth now!

StraightTeeth has made a world of difference to my smile. I never thought I would be able to change anything given it’s harder to do in later life. They have shown amazing service and follow ups on the app. I have recommended them to friends and family, and will keep doing so.

A great alternative to ‘Invisalign’

Very pleased with the whole experience- recently finished treatment after a year. Have had several fixed braces at a younger age and these aligners just don’t compare in terms of ease of use and lack of pain/rubbing/ulcers that I had with fixed braces.
Customer service is excellent and you see results pretty quickly. For me, it was an obvious choice compared to attending orthodontists in person , some of which I’ve not had great results with.
I would highly recommend this company and would say if you’re conscious of your teeth, it’s worth every penny!

I couldn’t recommend StraightTeethDirect more. Great value for money, extremely responsive customer service and all in all a smooth experience that helped me achieve my goal of straight teeth. I’ve been recommending them to all of my friends looking for straighter teeth.

Straight teeth direct have incredibly helpful and responsive customer service. The app and process is incredibly smooth and prompt. The plan was incredibly detailed and explained all aspects of the process - I didn’t have any questions! Unfortunately, I couldn’t continue with the process due to an unrelated medical issue I was going through. They were incredibly kind and understanding. I really appreciated their help. Their customer service is definitely 5 star!

There is a lot of competition put there on invisible aligners. Let's me share some truths about the process, now that I am almost done:
- it takes time and patience!
- it hurts but you get used to it quickly,
- the main contender, Invisalign, is very very expensive compared to other services like Straight Teeth Direct.

The main difference between both is that Straight Teeth offers a fully remote experience. No need to go to the dentist, because everything is done via their app. The staff, from customer services to the dentist's are lovely and always ready to help, and there are lots of videos to guide you through the different steps. I fully recommend this brand and the result of having aligned teeth has boosted my confidence greatly.

Transformed my smile!

I couldn't be happier with my results. I also have whitened my teeth and they look so good. I get comments constantly. It took over a year, so i had to be patient and am now on the maintenance plan. Obviously I'd rather not wear retainers at night anymore, but like any treatment (weight loss, skin care, hair care etc), you have to maintain it.

I did a lot of due diligence and research on the company, and for me, it's important that CEO was (is still!) a dentist. Two of my closest friends have become customers too and are half way through their treatment.

V highly recommend.

I have researched most clear alligner companies as my dentist told me she has heard good and bad reviews. I have been so impressed with the customer service and although not the cheapest the reviews and the service and response I have recieved which has been for a while now has been first class. I am really excited to start my journey!

Super easy and great results, would definitely recommend!

Everything from beginning to end was easier than I anticipated. Customer service is always extremely responsive and useful. The shipping of materials was super effective. I moved from Hong Kong to Dubai during the treatment and not having to ever visit a clinic made this super easy. I am extremely pleased with the result, feel more confident with my smile! And at a fraction of the cost of other solutions, this was a no-brainer and would highly recommend it

If I had reviewed this service just after the alignment process they might have got another star or two. However several years from starting out on my teeth straightening journey it has become clear that ultimately the end result would have been better and more cost effective if I’d just gone to see someone locally rather than used this internet company. In addition to this, it is now apparent that the projected result in the plan I signed up to wasn’t realistically achievable.

Straight teeth direct’s app and communication was reasonably good, answering questions queries fairly quickly, but the real problem (and ultimately the most important) was the treatment, time wasted, smile result and costs involved.

In terms of time, the initial treatment plan when I signed up indicated that the alignment process would take approximately 9 months. In the end it actually took closer to two years. I was willing to accept some margin for error (as was guided), but taking more than twice the indicated time was really very poor.

Regarding the aesthetic result, initially my teeth and resulting smile did look close to my plan at the end of the alignment, but unfortunately this did not last long. As I found out recently from going to see an orthodontist the end result of my alignment was very unstable and even though it looked good for a couple of weeks this quickly changed. The unstable position that my teeth had been moved into meant that during the ‘maintenance phase’ my teeth continued to move and gaps, which the plan was supposed to close, started to open up. This was not helped by the poor quality of their retainers which were intended to last 6 months each, but barely survived half of that.

Ultimately, in order that the time, effort and money already spent was not wasted I had little choice but to seek a local dentist to sort out the unstable result that straight teeth direct had left me. This has meant significant extra cost (multiple trips to the dentist and orthodontist, plus further retainers of better quality) along with a lot of inconvenience. Even after this additional expense and effort, the result is still short of what straight teeth direct had initially signed me up to, but I have spent nearly twice as much as initially guided and taken best part of 3 years to achieve. Overall a very poor experience and good reason to be cautious when considering a cheaper option for teeth straightening.

I totally recommend straigteeth direct, they were super helpful and I'm so happy with my new smile;-) Yes, I checked prices in Ireland, was so expensive, then the covid lockdowns were happening too, this seemed to be the best way around it for me! I'm a female in my early 40's, had braces over 10 years ago, never got a hawley retainer afterwards, just the permanent fixed retainer on the upper jaw,so then what happened? I started to notice that on top of my overjet/malocclusion, my smile was getting more crooked by the day, my smile was sliding to one side of my face and was obvious, I could see it in photos, my mouth on my face was crooked! So I applied for Straightteethdirect ,I followed the steps, sent the molds, and my smile was diagnosed as a malocclusion class II, 1 mm crowding upper jaw, 3 mm crowding lower jaw, 9 month duration of treatment, starting March 2021, to be finished July 2022. They said they could straighten the teeth but could not fix the overjet which for me was good enough. Because the teeth are straightened with center line in mind, meant that my smile on my face was gaining lost symmetry. Treatment took slightly longer with a few refiners at the end, but was no extra cost, so I didn't mind. When treatment finished, I had straight teeth, but I kinda freaked out because my bite was not aligned properly. They were very reassuring , telling me that the bite will settle, in a few months, but I was a bit skeptical, so I waited a few months to post my review, for the bite to settle-and it did! So, I'm super happy with my straight teeth, my smile is not crooked anymore, and the overjet is improved as well, so in my opinion they did an amazing job, retainers are easy to use, they delivered on what they promised, happy people, I advise you to go for it, be patient and don't have unrealistic expectations! Also I only contacted them with important stuff, not messaging them every minute of the day with silly messages! Also a few months after my treatment ended contacted them to ask for invoice for tax return, and they were very professional and kindly sent it to me! Thank you Straight Teeth Direct for my new straight smile that restored my face symmetry and gave me more confidence ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I'm very happy! p.s i can only post the date when treatment was over, on trustpilot page, not when it started xo

I recently completed a teeth aligners treatment with Straight Teeth Direct, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

First attempt to put the aligners was funny as they fit so well and tight that I couldn't take them out, but after a while with the hook it was no problem at all! I was also lisping a bit but it was just a matter of getting my mouth used to it.

The aligners themselves were very comfortable to wear and hardly noticeable, which was great for me as I talk a lot 😀

App is simple and very easy to use which helps a lot to keep track of conversations and progress. The team was also very helpful and quite fast to answer any of my questions, and I can be annoying sometimes!

And last but not least I loved the 360 whitening and regenerate products! I recommend it 100%!

Je peux objectivement faire un retour après avoir suivi toutes les étapes de mon traitement et attendu un délai d’observation d’évolution.

Le résultat est PIRE qu’avant ! D’un point de vue esthétique il y a une amélioration sur l’alignement en bas malgré la formation d’un espace dentaire inesthétique qui n’existait pas entre le haut et le bas mâchoires fermées. Le problème est surtout que d’un point de vue fonctionnel c’est une catastrophe, comme mes dents ne se touchent plus je ne mâche pas ni découpe les aliments, et il y a une asymétrie, seuls 2|2 de mes dents latérales droites peuvent se toucher une fois la mâchoire fermée. De plus l’alignement des dents du bas n’est même pas complet même après avoir fait le traitement et le perfectionnement, une des dents n’a toujours pas assez de place pour s’insérer parfaitement et elle recule encore plus à la moindre nuit sans l’aligneur.
J’ai suivi à la lettre un traitement plus long qu’annoncé entre les temps d’attentes de livraisons, de prises d’empreintes pour l’ajustement, soit de juin 2021 jusqu’octobre 2022.
Je peux aussi vous dire que la vue 3D modélisée est en réalité une modélisation non fidèle de la réalité qui se base sur un modèle 2D de vos empreintes, d’après les propos même de straight teeth direct.
Ce qui veut dire que la position de vos mâchoires ne seront certainement pas comme dans la modélisation 3D, d’un point de vue marketing c’est trompeur.
Le traitement devait réaligner les dents avant du bas en agrandissement l’arc dentaire, la modélisation devait aussi pivoter légèrement une dent du haut.
La dent du haut n’a jamais pivoté, je pense que ces aligneurs ne sont pas capables de faire un tel mouvement sans taquet.
Entre le cout, les efforts et espoirs, je regrette d’avoir fait confiance à une société qui m’a trompé dès le départ et ne reconnaît pas ses erreurs.
Je devrais faire une action en justice mais la société est anglaise, c’est bien trop compliqué, c’est le risque que j’ai encouru et je dois l’accepter. Je devrais être remboursé et pris en charge intégralement chez un orthodontiste pour refaire un traitement complet mais ça n’arrivera pas sans action, si vous êtes dans le même cas vous pouvez essayer de me joindre ça peut être tentant (@adrienloridan) si l’on est nombreux pour faire une action juridique groupée. A minima, mon avis peut vous aider afin de ne pas faire la même erreur que moi.

Edit 27/02/23: STD a signalé mon avis dès sa sortie pour censure. Ils m’ont envoyé un mail type ( mépris ou manque de professionnalisme) en demandant la suppression de cet avis en attente d’examen par trustpilot, et font semblant de ne pas comprendre mon avis alors que j’ai à plusieurs reprises écrits sur leur messagerie interne en cours de traitement avec screenshot a l’appui. Suite à mon refus d’enlever immédiatement cet avis, ils ne veulent plus communiquer, ni réponses, ni excuses, ni pris en charge des dommages.
