I was very insecure with my teeth which made me insecure about my face . Straight teeth direct was something that my sister used for her smile and recommended . I can not describe how happy I am with them . They was so easy and straightforward with their process . The staff are so helpful and mesage you back if you are struggling . My process was for a year and my teeth are so nicely aligned . I would recommend them 100% to anyone who is insecure with their smile. This is a great team of professionals who know their job , don’t waste people’s times and create a perfect smile . I am also still In contact as I have stayed on maintainer plan with the retainers . Again very good company so please guys this is a honest review from someone who had very bad aligned teeth .

I started my alignment process and given a year until i get my perfect straight smile.
From day one i would say my guildance and customer care was great until my year was up

Once i had my aligners for the year i was then contacted to say if i wish for more movement i would need to pay extra for more impressions and then quoted for more aligments to get my straight smile

You start the program thinking at the end of the year your have the perfect smile but no you then get charged more and expected to pay this upfront

You are led to believe you pay the one sum and get your prefect smile

Please do not give this company your money. What was originally supposed to be a year programme for me has stretched to nearly 2, with a litany of mistakes and excuses on their part. The guarantee is meaningless. They state that it’s the consumer’s fault if they provide aligners that don’t fit. My teeth do look a bit better after 2 years, but still look more like a before photo! I have attempted to raise complaints but these are fobbed off. There really seems to be no recourse. Please listen to the negative reviews and save your money and teeth!

I spent about £1500 and 18 months wearing retainers. No visible difference whatsoever. Customer Service is friendly and responsive but sends super-long, confusing emails. They asked me to sign a waiver before sending the final three retainer sets, which I didn't feel comfortable doing, so I didn't receive them. My three daughters used Invisalign with excellent results. I should've done so, too, instead of trying to save money.

Well what started out as a 6 month plan ended up lasting over a year. Then still teeth were not straight (admittedly yes they were straightener, but no where near what I was expecting from the initial 3D prediction)
As my lower teeth “straightened” quicker than my upper, I was sent 2 set of retainers, retainers that after a few months completely lost their shape and my teeth had moved to a point the 2nd set wouldn’t fit. My enamel has been completely destroyed. My account has also been disabled so I can’t log in to discuss my case with customer services!

I'm 65 and have been irritated by my crowded front lower teeth since I was a teenager. Over the years I have mentioned this to a couple of dentists (I have regular appointments with established surgeries) and solutions have been mooted but have not been really practical, or have been too expensive. Straight Teeth Direct gave me hope. I researched them thoroughly and made my decision to go ahead pre price increase in March. I also made the decision to have a 3D scan rather than take home impressions and I recommend this. Mine were in Harley Street, so gave me immediate confidence. They then sent a video simulation of the gradual changes during the treatment, which is fascinating to watch. The service has been brilliant to say the least. You have access to all of your records through the app and they respond to any issues or questions the same day. Answers are personal, not autoresponders, and they very clearly explain technical issues in plain language. They also review progress monthly. I am only 50% through the treatment but there is a spectacular difference. I would also point out that the price includes upper and lower aligners, a lot of competitors do not. My upper teeth were ok but there has been a slight tweak to match in with the lower teeth. I cannot recommend STD enough. Great value and a great service with good results, and at a competitive price Thankyou. 😁

Just brilliant, from start to finish! Everything was through the app which saved a lot of time having to go to appointments, etc. There’s 24/7 support with really quick and helpful replies from very friendly staff.

I’m so happy with my teeth. I started this process a year and a half before my wedding and I’m so glad I did. So much more affordable than competitors but just the same level of service and outcome. I’m so much more confident. Can’t recommend enough!!! Do it!

I am beyond happy with straight teeth direct. I’ve wanted to straighten my teeth for more than 10 years but it’s only recently this affordable option has become available. I had a Wisdom tooth removed first and another tooth crowned and had the go-ahead from my dentist to proceed. The whole process is so well put together and thought out and it’s so easy to follow. All the steps, deliveries, follow ups, etc etc. went seamlessly. I finished the initial plan and had a few more aligners afterwards to make sure my teeth were as straight as possible which is all included in the price. Would absolutely recommend. Best thing I ever did! Even my dentist is really impressed (who offers a similar service for more than double the price!)

The communication was great, my questions were always answered quickly.
The app was easy to use, and I liked that I could see all my information and progress in one place.
Deciding to get my teeth straightened was a hard decision but straight teeth direct made the process so easy and stress free. I’m really happy with the transformation, and even after my treatment ended straight teeth direct were always on hand to answer my queries!

I would highly recommended straight teeth direct. My teeth are exactly how I expected and wanted them which has given me a massive confidence boost, very reasonable pricing and quick replies with any questions or queries I have. I would go through the experience again in a heartbeat.

I won't give any details because, as other negative reviews here have pointed out, if things go wrong they will only help if you sign something agreeing not to write negative reviews.

They have been so annoying and I feel like it is morally wrong to make people sign things stopping bad reviews. How many people have had bad experiences and not written bad reviews? So I've decided to be brave and write an anonymous bad review with no details. Hopefully I will get away with it...

I will say that the aligners themselves are fine, the problem is more in the stubborn, unhelpful staff. I think something went wrong with my treatment which might have not happened if I had a 3D scan instead of an impression kit.

Pretty good experience- great customer service, always willing to help & quick to respond. Teeth fairly straight though took a bit longer but likely due to my teeth harder to move.

Quickly and efficiently straightened my teeth at a great price. Fast at responding to any questions, easy to use plan. Very happy with my teeth now I smile and show my teeth

My experience with STD has been amazing. I was a bit sceptical at first as the process in online. But i decided to give it a try and honestly, it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
The customer service is outstanding. Delivery of aligners was always on time. Full process is so easy and you don’t even need to leave your house!

Really good service provided and quick response to all of my emails and queries. Everything kept upto date with the app and very easy to use. So happy with my teeth now as I’m 56 and finally have lovely straight teeth and I can smile in photos now. Would recommend.

I was fooled into thinking that a lower cost online solution would be good value. Pre treatment I had some crowding on my bottom teeth - but my bite was absolutely fine - all my teeth connected. Since treatment - the crowding has been “fixed” but most of my teeth now do not connect leaving me with an open bite. Straight Teeth Direct have been rude since I raised this and have blamed the bite issue on my wisdom teeth - therefore saying they are not to blame. But in the same breath - also say it’s part of the adjustment process for teeth not to align. It’s been a year since treatment and my teeth haven’t met since then. I have now had to consult an orthodontist where I have to wear fixed braces to fix what was done through the treatment with Straight Teeth Direct. They offered me smaller alingers that help teeth “settle” but asked that in return I’m not allowed to make any bad reviews of them. Totally scandalous to be silenced. Do not make the same mistake I made. They are friendly to begin with, until you have a problem. They are unwilling to refund the cost of my treatment with them which is wrong given they have now broken their contract and given me a bite that is no longer functional.

Update:
Since I wrote my review, the company has disabled my account - so I can no longer access my dental records.

I encourage anyone thinking of treatment to filter the reviews by those that gave it one star and see how many people are affected by
- bite issues denied by STD
- closure of account for complaining (and therefore no access to their dental records)
- offered something in exchange for not posting bad reviews

To claim my wisdom teeth (which I’ve had since I was 16) caused my teeth to move and affect my bite, and not the retainers (designed to move my teeth) doesn’t make sense.

Blocking access to my dental records and correspondence with them is wrong, when they receive a rightful complaint.

From start through to finish of my treatment, the customer service I have received has been faultless. Any query I had was responded to quickly, this really made me feel secure in my choice.

I had an absolutely brilliant expirence with Straight Teeth Direct. It was incredibly smooth and they're customer care was one of the best I've experienced. There is a bit of a process getting started which seemed a little long for me but when I got the retainers it was very smooth sailing. At the very end when I was actually very happy with my teeth, they wanted to send out three more adjustments just so it was perfect for them. Really brilliant. Only thing is the end retainer they give doesn't seem to be the best quality, mine broke ( I had in my pocket, my fault) so will need to pay for their maintainer plan which is like 130 a year.
