Sarah and Neil from the Swindon office were extremely helpful. They were both very responsive and resolved my issue so much quicker than was expected of them. Throughout the whole build, Stroma were a pleasure to work with.

This was my first building project. From the moment I started to deal with Stroma Building Control until the completion of the works, I received a great advise and support. Mr. Luker demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to ensuring my project's success. The Team was very responsive, knowledgeable and professional every step of the way. I could not be happier with the results of achieving compliance and final completion. I cannot recommend enough and I will definitely use Stroma Building Control in my future projects.

Very good service

My problem related to a build six years ago. Mr. Taylor of Stroma took the trouble to investigate the archives of the building control company that carried out the inspections but was subsequently taken over by Stroma. He resolved the problem very quickly and was personable with me despite having to deal with such an odd and old request. I am a happy and satisfied man.

We were very pleased with the overall service provided by Stroma Building Control. From start to finish, all matters were dealt with quickly and efficiently ensuring a stress free project for us.

What can I say?this amazing company has given me a service 2nd to none amazingly I had a surveyor by the name of Matt Roskilly Who gave me all the time in the world took great care whilst the building was being developed gave me advice and the support. The staff as the office was amazing service. Anytime you call you will be helped. I will definitely recommend this company fantastic service

We used Stroma's Building Control service for our fairly large building project. They worked well with our builders, and everyone at Stroma worked with us was always very helpful and responsive.
Their rates were very competitive too.

Simple and easy to follow and execute. Just some descriptions, measurements and photo's are all that's required.

Our building control officer has been almost completely impossible to reach since the start of the project. I can't believe how much this service costs and yet how shockingly bad the service has been.

Really helpful customer service resolved an outstanding issue from a legacy company.

The team at Stroma made the worrying process of building regulations a breeze with site visits, email updates and phone calls, all helping to ensure that the project remained within the regs.

I am the executor of a friend who sadly passed away last year. He had carried out a loft extension which had not been signed off at the time of his passing. There were some issues with the work he had done. In dealing with Stroma ( Nicola Reeve and Baldev Bamrah) I was given sound advice as to what was needed. They were experienced, efficient and responsive and a completion certificate was issued.

The in depth knowledge, timely responses, clarity, assistance and general guidance of the inspectors helped the works to progress smoothly.

The Building Control manager for my project, which consisted of two semi-detached houses constructed to the Passivhaus standard, was very professional in advising my experienced builder of new regulations and ensuring that these were complied with. The person was willing to discuss potential solutions with the builder, which were then implemented and approved. The need for site visits at critical times were discussed and agreed upon and no delays resulted from delayed visits.

Avoid this Company at all costs! Their incompetence knows no bounds. They claimed to provide professional building control services, but what they delivered was a complete disaster. Not only did they overlook critical safety violations in my construction project, but their lackadaisical approach led to costly delays and headaches. It's evident that their staff lacks the necessary expertise and attention to detail required for such a crucial role. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable company that actually cares about the integrity of your building project.

They favourite saying is “it’s out of my hand and with my manger” . The work that the building inspector was supposed to check and make sure the was to building standards is going to cost 10’s of thousands to rectify.

We chose to go with a private company as we had experienced various inconsistent views by inspector during previous build where each visit was filled with anxiety / fear.

Storma are a dynamic company who have been a rock to us! The staff such as Lauren and Ian are highly skilled and knowledgeable staff who were always willing to help / suggest alternatives when supplies were limited or lead times over 10 months , or dried up due to covid, brexit and Ukrainian crisis.
The staff are very proactive and respond in a timely manner when remedial work was needed and completed. They worked in partnership with us to help us achieve our dream and resolve problems of supply during a crisis period.
The access we had to the inspectors made this project less daunting as we always had an expert to oversee the quality of work undertaken and that it was fit for purpose as it was assessed at each stage of completion by an inspector who was evidence based and in tune with current trends including renewables.
I’m indebted to Lauren and Ian who were my mentor ( Lauren during challenging times ) and kept us sane during a major development. Please note that we are not builders and Storma are impeccable company who deserve a beacon status and their work practices be a blue print for all building control inspectors.
