I was part of the initial batch of people who paid £1000 for their personal matchmaking in 2024.
- They promised that I will receive 3 matches every month, I received NONE for months.
- I was interviewed by 3 different people and asked the same questions (which they clearly did not refer back to as the matches were completely incompatible e.g. someone with children which i was told was completely reasonable as a non-parent)
- I rarely received any updates on my process and responses were extremely slow (taking days)
- emails were never responded to
- THE WORST part is that they promised I would receive my £1000 by the end of the year but I eceived NOTHING from them. I had to contact my bank and provide evidence (of the multiple confirmations from the sunnahmatch team that I would receive a refund)
- No response from SunnahMatch regarding my refund or follow up. My bank refunded my money after reviewing the evidence.

I sighed up to there personal matchmaking scheme back in feb/march 2025 and they asked for the money upfront with the promise to find a spouse within a year or your money back. The service was awful and the communication was nonexistent. I didnt match with anyone during this process. I have been asking a refund since June 2025 and have still yet to receive it. If you message Abbas or any other members of the team they either will ignore you or say they have told management.
Please don't sign up to this website, the people on the actual sunnah match website are all the same and the men just want to waste your time. The personal matchmaking is a scam and I still havent recieved a refund.

Don't trust them .I taken one month subscription but they keep trying to take payment every mont from my bank h and no customer service

I’ve spent some time using the Sunnah Match app, and I feel it’s important to share both the positives and the areas where improvement is needed. Overall, the creators of the app seem to be genuinely good brothers, and the app itself offers a valuable platform for those looking to get married according to Islamic principles.

However, my experience has shown that there are certain aspects that could be addressed to make the platform more effective.
One key observation I’ve had is that, unfortunately, there are a lot of unserious brothers on the app. At first, they may appear serious, especially since the app encourages a more formal approach—such as approaching through a wali—making it seem like they are 100% committed to the process. However, this isn’t always the case. While there are definitely some genuine brothers who are serious about marriage, many seem to be using the app more casually or just to pass time. Without accountability or perhaps involvement from their parents, the seriousness of their intentions becomes unclear. Many brothers, in the end, may end up with an arranged marriage from their home countries, leaving sisters frustrated when their time is potentially wasted.

So I’ve noticed the lack of accountability, especially from the male side. I believe the app would greatly benefit from the inclusion of references from both the brothers and sisters’ sides. It feels unfair that sisters are often more transparent and involved with their families in the process, while many brothers use the app without their parents' knowledge or involvement. Encouraging brothers to involve their families or provide references would help ensure that everyone is serious and accountable, and it would create a more balanced experience for all users.

From what I’ve seen, sisters on this platform are overwhelmingly more serious about getting married and investing their time into finding a suitable match. A great improvement could be to add a passport OR ID check for everyone signing up to ensure no fake profiles exist, and to ensure individuals being unserious can be held accountable. This would make the app a more comfortable and safer experience for everyone.

On the positive side, I must say that the creators of Sunnah Match have done a commendable job with the app. The platform is easy to use, and it does have a lot of potential for helping people find spouses in line with Islamic values.

However, there are still a few questionable features that could use some refinement. These features, if improved, could make the app a much more efficient and user-friendly space for those seeking a serious partner.

In conclusion, if you are serious about marriage, I would recommend being very clear in your communication from the beginning. There are definitely brothers on the app who are serious and committed and will not waste your time but as with any other online platform they are strangers so it is important to be cautious of those who might not share the same intentions.

They have not canceled my membership this is like the 3rd month they still charging me. Stay away from this app they don't even have no type of good customer service

Customer service is so bad and then they charge you a min of £25 per month! to be able to send a simple request to someone on their bugged out app.... brothers and sisters out there are already having it difficult and then they charge them with those ridiculous amount..

Staying with good address.

They are a great marriage site for Muslims.

On the plus side they acknowledged the fault and that they couldn't fix it so just provided a refund

I had a very bad experience with Sunnah Match. I was not able to send out any request after having paid for this service. I contacted them numerous times and nothing got resolved. In the end I said to them that they can either refund me my money or keep it, but I want to cancel my subscription!
Customer service is very poor and inconsiderate!

Horrible experience, it’s a beautiful concept but the app is so buggy i have to constantly use the web version.
I lost my first account cause they couldn’t send me a mail to reset my old account.

Not gonna lie the ratio of men & ladies here is about 70%-90% Males to 30%-10% females.
How did i know? I created a female account and 2mins in i got 1 request from a guy, 20 mins in i got 5 minutes requests, and I’m from a wealthy family myself but the profile of the brothers is damn too good for the profile i created to be honest.

Also not fat shamming, but honestly seems like this app is a breeding ground for overweight ladies, because you have to scroll through over and over again just to request a match to 5 ladies that are not overweight.

It is a beautiful concept and halal. It would be better if there is an option to consider one profile at a time. It will also be better if you can indicate that your talking to someone else so that people don't waste time matching you or end up expiring because you are principled.
It can be a source of anxiety and some people still waste your time because they will match you and not contact your wali.

Poor customer service and they stole my money! Asked for cancellation of subscription. No way to cancel on their website, you have to email. They cancelled subscription and removed my access but still charged me for the month. Usually most businesses will either 1. Give you access until end of subscription date for which you paid for 2. Refund you for time the app has not been used.

I had to remind customer service of proper etiquette when responding to emails because their emails were unprofessional.

It's a shame because the principle is good and halal but customer service and in general certain protocols like having a proper cancelling in place is not it. Don't know how these people are managing our personal data either as they don't have a notice on that either.

I should mention too that if you are a female it is pointless to get a profile with them. There are hardly any men on there.

I tried Sunnah Match with the hope of finding a suitable match within my community, but my experience was highly disappointing.

The site was plagued with bugs, causing profiles not to display properly. The potential matches were not only few in number but also irrelevant to my location and requirements. The matches I made were neither accepted nor declined, leaving them frozen in someone's inbox and resulting in wasted effort and money.

My interactions with customer support were particularly frustrating. Over the course of several weeks, I found them unhelpful and unnecessarily annoying, never reaching a resolution to my issues.

Pros: None that I experienced.
Cons: Numerous bugs, small and irrelevant pool of potential matches, unresponsive matches, unhelpful customer support.

1 out of 5 – My experience with Sunnah Match was entirely negative.

I found Sunnah Match to be unprofessional and lacking in the services it claims to provide. I would not recommend this platform to others seeking marriage within the Muslim community
