Have just picked up car from BalmerâŠ
Have just picked up car from Balmer Lawn Suzuki dealership in New Milton. Brett and co extremely helpful. Whole process very easy.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.
I bought a brand new Jimny Allgrip in May of this year, 2022, which turned out to be faulty and required work to be done to rectify a dreadful screeching noise between first and second gear. The nearest Suzuki dealer is a good distance from where we live. Not only was the dealership very abrupt and rude they were initially unable to diagnose the problem which didn't help. My husband and my self had to do a 3 hour round journey to prove our point (which we did). After it was repaired and we yet again did the 3 hour trip to pick the car up it had very little fuel in it which only rubbed salt even further into the wound.
After raising a formal complaint with Suzuki I have been completely fobbed off with absolutely no offer of compensation for the fuel to cover our inconvenience and cost. All they said is that normally this dealership has an excellent reputation and that I would need to take the matter up with them directly. If I had my time over I would certainly not have bought such an expensive vehicle from such an arrogant uncaring brand - Suzuki you are a disgrace.
Insurance declared null and void from inception after 2 days.
Paid £230 deposit for my insurance, go to work (I work 12 hour days, 4 on 4 off) and find out on my way back home that I have no insurance because I didn't contact them even though they only E-mailed me with no other form of contact. They have me 2 days in the E-Mail but as I said, I work long days, I finish my shift and go to bed. Now I have no vehicle to get to work in the morning all because they couldn't wait a couple days before hearing back from me. We don't all work 9-5's. Disgusting, worst insurance I've ever had to deal with to the point I don't even want to own one of their vehicles any more because of it.
Edit: Increased rating to 3 stars from 1. Would have been higher if it weren't for the fact that the first time I phoned and got it sorted out, I received another letter 3 days later threatening me of the same thing.
Now that's sorted, and everything has been okay since.
Worst dealership and customer relations
My wife bought her 69 plate swift sport from read suzuki grimsby. It has now broken down 9 times with the same fault. Read totally not bothered and uninterested. Phoned customer relations at head office, total waste of time. Just told me "if youre not happy ,take it to another dealer" the nearest dealer other than reads is 35 miles away, so they expect me to drive 140 miles to take it in and pick it up. Have now approached watchdog on BBC one show. Have left one star review as i cant leave zero.
Henrys suzuki glasgow
Salesman Joe bow made the transaction very easy. He was very good at contacting us and kept us updated with our mobility application also up to date with delivery date, making it an round great experience would highly recommend henrys suzuki and we love the suzuki vitara thanks Joe. William and Jane rees.
I would highly recommended Rugby Suzuki
I would highly recommend Ash from Suzuki Rugby, who helped me through the purchase of my new Suzuki swift. I am very pleased with the customer service and love my new car.
They aren't helping my husband to fix his car quickly, He is an disabled person, he struggles to his daily life without car.
My husband an disabled person. He has difficulty for walking and he can't get in and out any car, it should be higher up than normal car. His Suzuki less than 3 years old and broke down, he is told his car fixed in 3 weeks or longer. He can't go out, he can't carry on his daily life without his car. Suzuki garage in High Wycombe, they don't give any priority to fix his car quickly or give him a courtesy car. He stays at home all day, it isn't good for his mental health as well. Nobody wants to help him from Suzuki.
Perhaps the most useless phone systemâŠ
Perhaps the most useless phone system of any finance company I have dealth with in over 20 years in the motor industry.
ARMADILLO ð
Suzuki Cambridge service ( which is actually Nissan) just reminds me of the Harry Enfield Daim bar advert.
Numpty after numpty.
.
I booked my car in for its 2nd year service and advised the brakes needed doing as they were very squeaky and the air con was not working.
.
Having driven 40 minutes to get there they advised the curtesy car I had arranged was not available so I had to cancel the appointment as it meant I had no vehicle to get to work.
I then rearranged the appointment and again advised of the faults requiring rectification. This time they managed to provide the curtesy car but after I picked my vehicle up ( in a rush) I later realised they had not seen to either of the issues.
.
I booked the car in for a 3rd time and again advised of the issues. This time when I collected the car they advised they couldnât fix the air con under the warranty ( they wanted £2500 which given the car only cost £18000 was interesting! )
.
When asked about the brakes, they denied any knowledge of the issue ( I had rung their customer service team and confirmed it over the phone, written it on the initial booking form, again on the online check in document they sent the day before the appointment, and again on a separate email sent to the guy dealing with it during the day). Yet they had no knowledge!
.
Needless to say I had to drive away with both faults still live.
The fella (Dean) literally couldnât care less, though Iâm not even sure he understood why I was frustrated as he offered very little. His attitude suggested this was his standard approach, no empathy, no apology for the series of failures and just generally poor customer service.
Suzuki is not interested in helping customers.
I wanted to buy a Hybrid car but because of the shortage of new cars especially Toyota's I ended up buying a Suzuki Swace which is effectively a Toyota Corolla, however it's a decision I now regret. Suzuki is a hopeless manufacturer it can't provide basic information on service plans or key accessories such as space saver spare wheels and frankly they aren't interested in providing any sort of support. Take my advice wait for the Toyota's to become available.
Disappointing
Was looking into buying a new Vitara, after having a test drive, but the model I wanted wasn't in stock - there's a lack of new cars generally - so then explored the idea of buying a nearly new or ex-demonstrator. Suzuki website wasn't up to date and got some lame response from customer services about contacting my local dealer for information when i asked about information on the website. Local dealer offered us a demonstrator which suddenly went up in price by £1,000 over 24 hours. Turns out I could buy a brand new e+ Nissan Leaf for £700 more than a used Suzuki hybrid, so that's made my mind up. Shame really, I liked the Vitara, but the top spec model is over-priced in comparison with other higher spec vehicles, and it looks like the current wait for new cars is being exploited.
Excellent experience
Excellent experience , Professional, friendly experience would highly recommend
Fine until something goes wrong.
While my car (Vitara) was still within its warranty period, it started making a whistling noise. I reported it to the local branch, who didnât investigate it, since it was intermittent. It turned out to be the turbo, which subsequently failed completely before the car had reached 50k miles. They wonât cover it under the warranty and wonât make a goodwill contribution because the car is too old (but it wasnât when I first raised the matter, and still wasnât when they wrongly diagnosed it as a failed sensor) and had another owner prior to me. That owner was Suzuki; it had been a managerâs car. The car has been reliable until now, but my experience of the how the company deal with customers when things go wrong has not been good, and their warranty is already weak next to those offered by other companies. I actually have been told by a solicitor that I have a strong case under the Sale of Goods Act, since the part failed unreasonably early in the life of the vehicle, but I am autistic and canât deal with the stress that would undoubtedly cause. So, Iâll just avoid buying Suzukis in the future. Theyâre fine until something goes wrong; then they are dreadful. I want to post this here so that others know what to expect.
Getting Information Beyond Dealerships - Hard Work !
My wife purchased our 5th Suzuki car, a 3 years old, 2018 Suzuki Ignis, "Adventure," from Chapelhouse Dealers in Warrington, Cheshire. Initially, the car was not presented as it should have been ie: some paintwork, valeting, etc, not quite up to standard, but eventually resolved. Being of "that" age, we decided, rather than settle for the emergency "Compressor & Sealant" tyre repair kit that came as standard, we decided we would favour a "Space Saver" wheel & tyre which we purchased from a local, specialised dealer. We subsequently discovered, as the spare wheel sat slightly lower than the level of the boot floor, this created a "dip" in the carpet and certainly needed something a little more supportive to cover the entire area of the boot. Main dealers, (including our own), were lost completely. They appeared to suspect something might be available, but didn't know what - not much help there ! So after much "Googling" we found some thing on Ebay, from Suzuki themselves, a "Luggage Tray." The picture looked great, it was explained, having decided to phone Suzuki direct, that it was the right product and the descriptive word, "luggage" must logically mean what it said, to support the weight of suitcases. What arrived was a thin, expanded Polystyrene, boot liner, that was thinner than the carpet that came with the car - great if you want to roll it up. 5 Suzuki cars later, over 20 years and we're still trying to glean information from Suzuki when dealerships, despite willingness, didn't have the answers. Suzuki at Milton Keynes, really don't want to speak to members of the public directly, but prefer dealerships own the problem. And there the problem lies, because often dealerships don't have all the answers as proven with our own scenario. Suzuki make and market great cars, but they need to make themselves more available and more accessible to the public and equally make parts/technical etc etc more accessible to dealerships.
Terrible customer service.
Terrible customer service.
In fact wholly dismal.
So I buy a used Suzuki Vitara from a proper Suzuki dealership, I spend £10,495 plus warranty extensions.
Beautiful car, but I find out it's missing some of the spec that in the advert it should come with, so I've been mislead.
I contact the dealership, they don't care, I go to Suzuki UK hoping for a better response, they say it's the dealership's responsibilty. Round the houses and telling me to forget it.
Is that how a big company do business, yep it is how Suzuki do business, once imported as they all are, then they hold NO further care, do consider that, they do not want to know.
Great, so after sales care is totally useless.
If you are looking to buy one, I would think again, once you've paid your money it's bye bye. Sorry to say, but in this day and age that's not cool at all.
Almost 2 months ago and after 10 yearsâŠ
Almost 2 months ago and after 10 years as a Volvo car owner, I decided to call Romford Suzuki just to gather some info about a Suzuki Vitara 2018. So everyone can understand that Iâm not easy to be convinced kind of guy and that my valuation comes from a professional standpoint I need to tell you first that I used to be a sales manager for a big car dealership and I use to be in charge of 3 showrooms and 50 employees.
So... Dan Knowles, the senior sales executive from Romford Suzuki answered my call. Within 5 minutes Iâve paid my deposit for my Vitara without even seeing the car! (It was a click and collect due to COVID restrictions) This much of credibility Dan inspired to me!
Itâs extremely rare to find this kind of honest and straightforward people in car sales! Not to mention that the after sale help from him was even more appreciated! I used to email him late evening with the hope that heâll get back to me first thing in the morning, but I was very pleasantly surprised to receive his reply just minutes after I sent my email! This guy is not only a professional and a very good person, he also loves what heâs doing! I would have been proud to have a guy like him in my former team! I really hope that Romford Suzuki and Suzuki family really appreciate Dan, because heâs an exceptional asset for their business!
Regarding the car I canât say very much as Iâm very happy about it, just as Dan promised! Thanks for all your help Dan, see you next time mate!
There's no getting away from it our Swift feels tinny ...
Well we've had our Swift for five years now. It's okay overall and gives very good mileage. But part of the reason for that is the vehicle's light weight and there's no getting away from it the car feels tinny and insubstantial. Before this, we had a VW Polo and that had a brick-like build quality to it. Having said that the Swift's got numerous airbags and easily beats our old Polo on specification and price. Another good point is the sit-upright driving position. When we were buying the car and went for a test drive I could immediately judge the dimensions of the vehicle and didn't feel like I was wallowing in it as I did with the KIA we also test drove. Remarkable really, as I had never sat in a Swift before but because of the driving position and excellent visibility felt confident as if I'd been driving the thing for ever.
So would we buy another Suzuki. Probably not - as on balance I prefer something that feels a bit more rugged. But it's not all bad hence the mixed star rating ....
Absolutely amazing cars with long lifeâŠ
Absolutely amazing cars with long life and cheap service, love it!
Great
Great, my first Suzuki Ignis and if she carries on like this wonât be my last. Only had her a month but have that oneness feel with everything about her, even not having ignition key feels ok now.
Aston at Dales, Summercourt was lovely, helpful and kept me up to date when car would be due. As I had chosen new colour there was a long delay in it arriving into country. Worth the wait love it.
10/10 for customer service and follow up service.
Seeing one other review, mine is a motorbility car Ford extended the insurance and I handed that car in at Dales on receipt of Ignis. Your son should have been treated the same courtesy.
Great Vehicles
Before I retired we had a Suzuki car as a second vehicle - this was replaced two years later by another - two years later another and so on until it became our main car when I retired - we are now on our ninth!
We have regularly toured France, Italy, Switzerland without any problem
The majority of our vehicles have been supplied and serviced annually or as required by TJ Vickers, our Shrewsbury main dealer and we would recommend
them
