Upon arrival of transmission, I was told the transmission was to have been inspected. The pan was never removed, and when I did so I found a valve body bolt loose and almost out, and the transmission filter was dirty. I was told that they remove the pan and inspect. This did not happen. I tightened the valve body bolt, and installed a new filter. The transmission has about 300 miles on it since the install, with no problems.

Overall a positive experience. Bought a trans. for a 1994 Jeep GC, 2w drive, so not an easy part to find. Nearly every part of the transaction was done on line, which made me nervous - but after talking to an SW rep from the Tulsa branch I felt confident enough to continue. The overall time to get the product seemed a tad long (a little over 2 weeks), but I did, in the end get a good transmission that shifts normally and has been working fine for 2 months now. The price was higher than some other company's quotes, but the one year/12k mile warranty was a selling point. Hopefully I won't have to use it. (Side Note: when registering your mileage for the warranty it is important to type the purchase date in the correct format using slashes not dashes)

The first thing my mechanic told me when he received my tranny was, They knew what they we're doing when they pulled the tranny. Looked great and the fluid was clean!
I've put 5K on the car since and everything is fine!

I'll keep this short. They shipped my transmission to the wrong garage, in the wrong state. I gave them the correct information and attempted to contact them the very day it shipped to let them know it was going to the wrong place. It took an entire week and hours on the phone before I could reach anyone. Sent me my product, eventually, and it works well. Combine that with the price for 3 stars. Lousy service.

P.S. Read the fine print with your warranty, as the transmission must be installed within a certain time-frame for the warranty to be valid. This was not an issue, but they are not nearly clear enough about it.

**I can't respond to SWtranmission's post, but I can update this with a reply. If your company was half as concerned with responding to problems in a timely fashion as they are about replying to online reviews, this would have never been an issue. It took me over a week, hours of being transferred on the phone and multiple messages to reach you when my transmission was mis-sent. It took you a day to respond to semi-negative criticism in an online forum.

Was a little slow getting here one bolt on the fluid pan was stripped but tapped it out to next size and new bolt fixed that. Came in on a pallet fully wrapped up and was very clean. So far I have put about 2000 miles on it with no problems. I would buy from them again and I have recommend them to other people.

found a transmission at a great price, was shipped in a timely fashion. was the right transmission. only had one problem, but it was not SW trans, it was the people I had install it. would shift into 2nd to fast, come to find out, the installers missed a bushing on the shift cable. so if you need a transmission, I highly recommend SW transmission.

This transaction started out pleasant enough, and it all sounds good on the website when you read about the warranty. They talked a sweet game on the first call when the transmission was ordered. It took a month to get the first one. Over five months and over $1000 later, we have been through two non-working transmissions, excuses, rudeness, and incompetence. The manager will not speak to you or return your messages. If you call, you are transferred several times and put on hold each time. I seriously regret ever finding this company!

The sale and teceipt went fine. I dealt woth curteous representatives and felt the decission to buy was the right decision.

Yesterday when pulling into traffic the car hesitated and then would only craw. I took it to out mechanic. Today i found out that two sensors are inducating that the transmissions need to be replaced. I am asking my mechanic to call and discuss.

The first was shipped with broken off mounting, Was very hard to get in contact with the right person to get the correction., Took me four phone calls, got some run around. Then took almost two weeks to get a replacement shipped to me.

Everything promised was delivered in a timely and professional manner. ....the Web site was very user friendly and the transmission performs like new.....I definitely recommend doing business with SW TRANSMISSION!

on line the transmission stated it had only had 7485 miles on it. when i received the tranny it looked much more than that. very dirty. even the mechanic questioned the miles. i paid a very premium price for this and was not what it said to be. this mechanic also had given me a price to rebuild my old one for the same price! i chose to go this route because of the mileage that this one had. feel i didnt get what i paid for for sure. 2nd
the emails sent keep stating it was being cleaned and checked before shipping.....lol. guess that was also a joke. not happy with this deal at all

I found SW's transmission pricing and ordering to be very good. Their response time at about 1 week was somewhat slow. Their tracking number correspondense was problematic - could not use the online feature but had to call-in for status.

Biggest problem was they sent the wrong transmission the first time. They corrected the issue promptly over the phone but it took them an additional 3-weeks to get the correct item back out. It also took several calls and 1 month later to get the wrong transmission picked up.

I my case, the wait was not a significant issue because it was a firends garage. But for others this could have been a big problem.

Biggest improvement needed for SW Transmissions is internal quality control and communication.

very hard transmission to find they had it in stock and it was shipped within 5 days. Fit perfectly and truck is running awesome.

I bought a transmission for my daughters 2002 Toyota Camry. I had a professional transmission shop install the transmission. I tried to complete the warranty information however I keep getting a error message the transmission had to be installed first. I continued to try and complete the warranty information on the web without any success. I should have called SW but i didn't. I finally got the warrenty information posted. I got the car back from the shop and my daughter drove it for 3 days and the transmission started messing up. I called SW transmission about the problem and was informed that because I had not completed the warranty information within the 10 day grace period they would not warranty the transmission. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a transmission ( DO NOT PURCHASE A TRANSMISSION FROM SW TRANSMISSION ). If you do at least purchase it with the mind set you will not have the warranty SW advertise's on their web site.

I ordered a transmission from SWT for my 2003 325i . I had an independent BMW service center install it. It needed two sensors. One external one internal. It cost me $450.00 to have the sensors taken off the old transmission and installed on the one from SWT. When I called them, SWT, they said sensors were not covered under warranty. The fact is, the Transmission would need to first work, before it can be under warranty. They have done nothing to rectify the problem. They suck!!!They sold me a NON-WORKING Transmission.

I got what I needed in no time. Everyone was nice and professional

Transmission was delivered in three days, covered in plastic and openings capped with shipping plugs. Drained the small amount of transmission fluid after installing and found no evidence of moisture with minimal debris on magnetic drain plug. No problems with the install and have about 500 miles on the used replacement with no problems.
