Worse Worse Worse Customer Service! Their agents are worse, I am still in shock with how this agent spoke to me. Worse Service! Never ever using them again for anything!

Booked a New York night tour in March for May. The day before we got a reminder email to be at the pick up location 30 minutes before pick up. We arrive only to be told that this tour has not existed for over a year and to contact taketours. I phoned taketours about the situation and asked for a refund. The person wouldn't believe my situation and when I asked for her name the phone conveniently cut out. An hour and a half later I get an email telling me that the tour does exist and to be at the pick up location at 6pm. 90 minutes ago. I phoned the tour operator who confirmed again the tour does not exist. Taketours does not accept this. They promised to look into the situation 2 weeks ago but have not got back to me. I managed to contact American Express about the situation as I have all emails and correspondence about the tour and they have blocked the payment. Terrible terrible company.

Booked the Niagara Falls trip 2 months back. The payment was promptly taken. Got an email 2 days before departure that the trip was cancelled! No alternatives given. Yet to get a refund. Unprofessional. Unethical. Avoid at all cost!!!

Tells you nothing of any thing
Sits like a dummy from strat to finish
You might as well have had a goat with you
Speaks Chinese and terrible English
Waste of money and precious time
Do it on your own at least Las Vegas

Took a trip to Grand Canyon, Vegas and Antelope Canyon. Bus that picked up and drove for 10 hours was a large van. Not a touring bus. Great driver with enough bio break halts. Reached Las Vegas at 8 PM and they did not show us anything. We were too tired to explore ourselves. Flagstaff hotel was very good. However, for Breakfast, the first few people took all the food and about 50% did not get anything to eat. We had to buy from neighborhood store. Hotel did not replenish. 70% of tourists were Chinese origin. Tour guides speak English and Chinese fluently. Also, payment of sights is Mandatory. Tips is Mandatory. There is nothing optional to see. Only sights where payment is required is the stop. So expect to spend another $200 per person apart from tour tickets. Plus spend on food. Driver only takes Cash. Non negotiable and Mandatory

Terrible experience
I along with my 4 year child took the Washington DC tour on 17th and 18th May 2018. We joined from Philadelphia and had a nightmare of 2 days during the tour.

1) The pick up time from Philadelphia was 12:30pm. But the actual pick up was at 3pm as the bus was late from new york.

2) Because it started late, the tour guide, Eva, cancelled sightseeing of DC on that day and asked us to be ready at 5:45am the next day.

2) The tour guide, Eva, was highly inconsiderate of the child. Her only agenda was to tick the visits than to make us feel worth of the trip. Go to Lincoln memorial for 5 minutes, then white house for 5 minutes.

3) When we went to Capitol, Eva kept pushing in a very rude manner. The Capitol staff was very helpful seeing a stroller and a child. After the tour, I took the child to bathroom but Eva disappeared to the next stop without waiting for even 5 minutes.

4) When we called her many times, she told, just take a cab and come to xyz museum.

5) Museums in DC are nice and big. Eva allowed barely 25-30 minutes at each place. All she cared about is the tick box, not the experience.

Overall, it was a highly disappointing and frustrating experience, mainly because of the tour guide's rude behaviour and her mis planning. Take tours should fire her or at least train her on how to behave with tourists and be considerate of kids and mums.

I would recommend taking a greyhound to DC and then taking a local tour than going with taketours who have such useless tour guides. I feel I wasted my money.

Don’t go in taketours travels bad bus bad smell and bad time management they come late and they won’t give minimum time to see the places they won’t even bother for passengers rest room issues always they want getoff their duty intime. Charges are also very high . Better pool up with your friends and book good hotels

We took take tour 4 days tour with 10 people after our Alaska cruise in Seattle starting May 20, 2018. We paid usd 311 per person. I have been trying to ask the name of the hotel, and they never gave us the name until we arrived. They promised for pick up at cruise terminal at 12 noon, and they did come at 12:30 pm for the so called free pick up. Then they send us to a motel so far away from the city far south from airport, Red Lion in Federal way. The next day they we started the tour. They ask us to pay $10 per person for the FREE pick up the day before.
In Mt rainier, we had to pay $35 each for park admission, which is a mark up of $25 from the official park entry fee.
The unfriendliness of the guide and the driver, the rip off, lies, turned us off, so we end up giving up the last day tour, because they made us sick.

We 4 persons tour was taken from Gaiherburg 7 days 6 night tour to USA and Canada today is last day since 20th May our Guidd and Bus is changed to 1668 earlier it was 1698. The Guide in earlier was very nice co-operative and Garry was taking care of alk passengers in mice way but in this bus the Guide Angila is poorest she did not bother about the passengers who have participated from other countries. Our hotel stay at New Jersy Holiday Inn was worst. She did not take care of the passengers and not covered the points of interest like white house in Washington DC and also in New York.
We are at all not comfortable since yesterday with this new bus.

I have recentely returned with my family from a 5 days tour with this company from Los Angeles to Las Vegas ,Lake Powel , Antelope canyon, Bryce canyon,Zion Canyon,and Grand canyon (west rim):tour code 673-2546. on the dates May6- May10. Our guides' name was Edward and the drivers' name was Yu.I have read some bad reviews here before going, but decided to take the risk because of the low price. I am very glad I gave them that chance.The trip was wonderful! the guide was absolutely excellent, very polite, explained everything both in English and Chienese, I understood him perfectly, even though I speak only English. they didnt charge one penny more than they stated in their website, you do have to read it all, because they have added costs that are mentioned in the itinerary. I dont know how they managed to take us to see so many places in such a short time without making us feel rushed, and without missing out on any highlight, but they did it. I especially loved the walking tour in the Lower Antelope Canyon! it was amazing and was worth the extra cost charged for it. the bus was comfortable, much better than driving those distances yourself! the hotels were ok and clean, even most had swimming pools, so my kids enjoyed a swim in the evenings.They made enough stops for restrooms and even took us to supermarkets so we can buy groceries and not spend money at the hotels.The guide even gave us the weather forcast for each day and answered all our questions. We managed to make some new friends on the bus in spite of the language barrier. Everyone was nice and atmosphere was great. The driver Yu, was friendly and a careful driver, I am extremely jumpy with fast rekless driving and I felt calm and confident with this driver.This tour was above and beyond our expectations. I felt obliged to write this after reading bad reviews and nearly missing this trip because of them.

Unprofessional, travel guide treated customers like children and lacks respect. Bus driver was extremely unfriendly and intentionally wanted to leave us on the highway service area when we were only a few minutes late. In addition, bus driver seemed to be overfatigued and drove over the highway noise warning strips many times - dangerous. Never ever again. Cheap, but apparently too cheap after all.
On top of all, for entrance to additional activities such as a boat tour in Niagara Falls or a discovery movie they charged the regular adult price while they would buy the tickets for a reduced group price and keep the margin for themselves. This is not disclosed to customers. A case for the FTC?

Omg,, worst tour ever !!!!! Paid 190 .. plus 9 more dollars.. for the Hoover dam and grand Canyon tour.. the driver was 45 mins late.. then we didn’t stop at the dam . Driver went past it.. they said we would stop on the way back!!! Well never got to see the dam!!! then the drive pick us up but then don’t drop us off at the hotel !!! Please , go somewhere else... it’s a rip-off.. beware. I want a refund or something.. this was embarrassment to your company

This is a chinese tour. The tour guides are chinese and speak more chinese than English. The tour guides were also dishonest and more interested in earning their kickbacks.We were told by Justin, our tourist guide that the skywalk cost $25 only but on the tour itself Shane, our new tourist guide charged us $35 each even though we insist that Justin told us its only $25.( when in fact the actual price costs only $21.65.) Take note that we are talking about 50-60 persons per bus. Actually its not the amount that we are talking here, its the behavior of the tourist guide. How can you trust such a person? You are charge $9 per day for their service. A 3 day tour will cost $27 tip. You are also asked to choose where to go: south grand canyon for $50, west grand canyon for $90, Antelope for $130. City tour for $35.

Very terrible company to deal with. I booked my tour thru Take Tours, first tour was cancelled less than 8 days of my trip. I was giving them a chance and re-booked a more expensive tour. I booked a 6 days tour as this tour offers free hotel upgrade as part of the promotion (states on the website). I thought to be saved, I booked it thru a Take Tours agent just making sure this tour is a "GO" and will not be canceled. After they took my payment, all I get was disappointment dealing with them. I have tried to contact via telephone and waited for a long time for an agent. The worst part, my line was disconnected automatically after an hour of waiting and I have to call back again. My tour was less than 4 days and I have to contact them for the E-ticket and itinerary. So, I used the livechat and received my E-ticket without itinerary. I have to contact them again via livechat for the itinerary (lots of time wasted here as well). Once I received my itinerary I noticed my free hotel upgrade was not included. After a few emails and chatting with Take Tours agents on line: fist agent was calling the travel agency and assured me that they will honor the free upgrade and will re-send me another itinerary. Few hours later, I received an email that the free upgrade only offer from Jan to March. What a lie, when I booked with the agent, she told me I will get the free upgrade with this package. I tried the second time chatting with another agent on-line. The agent told me that her manager will double check, she told me "We need to know when the policy got changed" I waited for 30 mins and she told me her manager is still checking. I waited over an hour on livechat waiting to hear back from her. She never got back to me, she disconnected herself from the chat line without giving me an explanation. It's oblivious that they noticed they're scamming customers and afraid to deal with us. Once they got your money, there is no service after that. Oh well, this will be the only and last time my family ever booked with them. We lost this time but Take Tours will be losing more businesses from us in the long run if they keep ignoring customers complaints. Your company's reputation??

guys this is the worst tour ever. I am calling my parents from India for my graduation. I had planned a trip with them to make our best experience here in states.
TAKE TOURS RUINED MY PLAN! TAKE TOURS CANCELLED THE TOUR BEFORE 4 DAYS, I have done all my bookings now. all my flight's air bnb's for further trip.
I don't know what to do now!!!
I'm literally stuck now and seriously so disappointed with the fact that I wanted to make their experience best and now everything is unplanned.

Even though the tour guide was a very nice person, i wouldn't recommend this tour to anybody else unless you are Chinese! i didn't expect everything to be said in Chinese language too! If i had known, i wouldn't take it. don't get me wrong, there is nothing with the language, it was just hard to sit there for such a long hours and listen to a langue you don't understand at all! they should put it in their website that is a dual language tour!

Very bad customer care. They are rough and rude. They have no sense of giving respect to others.

We thought it was a great deal but it was a horrible experience. Our tour guide was rude and hard to understand in English - He showed up 45 minutes late on the first day, then literally got into a screaming match with another tourist on the bus we was awkward and unprofessional to say the least. They also charged us almost double the RRP for tickets so if you do end up on one of these tours, do NOT buy tickets for optional activites through them! Buy them yourself at the ticket counter. We also spent almost the whole time on the bus - they allowed us 25 minutes at the Grand Canyon after spending 5 hours getting there, and about 30 minutes total at Yosemite. A huge disappointment and not at all worth the cheap price.

3 days of hell!
No time to visit the sights : 10 minutes for Capitol but on the other hand 30 minutes for a bathroom stop. Guide threatened to leave without my son who was 1! minute late on the bus when running like a maniac trying to get a photo of the capitol in the 10 minutes allocated ! Guide then kept on saying :" I’m trying, really trying to be nice but if people are going to be late".... are you serious ? FYI they were 35 minutes late for pick up on departure day.

For lunch you are dropped of at some gas station and diner at a food court that serves Asian food exclusively. I guess someone complained being tired of Chinese food because the guide promised no Chinese on 3rd night but he had to make it clear we had no right to complain as this was a Chinese tour so.... what the hell ? DO NOT SELL THIS TOUR TO NON CHINESE THEN!!!!!!!

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS TOUR. RUBBISH INTINERARY AND RUDE GUIDE!
