The safari experience and Hot Air Ballon ride were memorable?
The safari experience was great. We had chance to see animals crossing Mara river 2 times, Big 5 plus cheetah, zebra, wildebeest and others. Big thanks to the driver who was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. The hot air ballon ride was amazing and we enjoyed very much. Except that I was frustrated by the booking process. I came across two consultants. The former one was prompt in response and helpful. Instead, the latter one was late in response and provided confused pricing information. For hotel booking of an additional member, it took three weeks after request and provided 3 separate quotations even though the first one was accepted immediately. For the optional tour pricing, the latter consultant repeatedly confirmed the price I mentioned but eventually it was not correct. For the lodges we stayed, the Sound of Silent was very good in terms of food, service and sunset while the other 2 were just fine, e.g. lights were too dim, some fixtures were loose, etc. For the hotels, they were good.

Dear Albert Wong,
Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback with us!
We are delighted to hear that your safari was a memorable experience, especially seeing the Mara River crossings twice, the Big Five and cheetah. We will certainly pass your kind words about your driver on to him. We are also happy to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed the hot air balloon experience!
At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the frustrations you experienced during the booking process. We understand that receiving delayed responses, multiple quotations after an initial option had already been accepted, and inconsistent information regarding optional activities can be confusing and disappointing. This is certainly not the level of communication and service we aim to provide.
Your comments are valuable to us, and we will use them to improve coordination and ensure that pricing and booking information is communicated more clearly and consistently.
Thank you again for choosing Tanzania Specialist and for sharing both the highlights and the areas where we can do better. We hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another memorable adventure in the future!

We had a great trip overall with one big disappointment
We had a great trip overall with Tanzania Specialist. Our guide was excellent, the accommodations were very good, and the entire trip was extremely well organized. Everything on the ground ran smoothly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The one significant disappointment was the handling of the price. After we had already fully paid the agreed amount, Tanzania Specialist increased the price by an additional 4%, apparently due to increased energy costs. In our view, changing the agreed price after full payment is unacceptable and left an unnecessarily negative impression at the end of an otherwise excellent experience.
Without this issue, it would have been an easy five-star review.

Dear Peter Voit,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and weâre very pleased to hear that, overall, you had a great experience with Tanzania Specialist especially with your guide, accommodations, and the smooth organization of your safari.
Regarding the price adjustment, we understand your disappointment and appreciate you sharing your perspective. The adjustment was introduced across our customers after we experienced a significant increase in operational costs, particularly energy and fuel-related expenses. We shared this adjustment with our customers as part of our efforts to manage these increased costs while continuing to deliver the same level of service and quality.
We sincerely appreciate all our customers who understood the situation and willingly participated in covering part of these additional costs. At the same time, we value your feedback and regret that this aspect affected what was otherwise a very positive experience.
Thank you again for choosing Tanzania Specialist, and we hope that the wonderful memories from your safari will remain the strongest part of your Tanzania experience. â€ïž

A truly unforgettable family holidayâŠ
A truly unforgettable family holiday with Tanzania Specialist**
We recently took a family holiday to Tanzania, booked through Tanzania Specialist, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we landed to the moment we departed, every detail was organised, coordinated, and taken care of completely. Our family arrived and departed at different times, and all of this was supported, managed, and handled perfectly. Every pickup and drop-off was smooth and stress free.
The accommodation, the crew, and the people we met were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to assist. Their warmth made the entire trip feel effortless.
A very special thank you to our guide and driver, Innocent Frank Mauki. He was friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and safety conscious from the start. Every day he shared fun facts that impressed us. He made sure every item on our bucket list was completed. We saw the Big Five and witnessed the Great Migration in action, which was an incredible moment for our family. We did not lift a finger the entire trip. Coming home was the hardest part.
We also want to thank George Mwendante, our travel consultant at Tanzania Specialist. His communication was clear, supportive, and accommodating of all our requests. He helped make this a trip of a lifetime.
A big shout out to the wonderful teams at Sidai and Karatu Villas for their hospitality and kindness.
We highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone planning a safari or family adventure. This trip will stay in our hearts forever.

We had a wonderful time on safari! Tanzania specialist handled everything and we were able to completely relax. Our amazing driver Boscoe let us decide how early we wanted to wake up and gave us guidance on what we could expect to see. Our guide (Lazaro) was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made the experience with two young children very relaxed. Thank you!
We would have preferred a lodge closer to the animals on the first and fourth nights. The views were fantastic, but we were too far outside of the national parks to enjoy the wildlife from our lodge which was disappointing.

Unforgettable holiday.
From welcoming us on the airport to saying goodbye was an unforgettable experience. All the drivers was excellent. Ramadan was our guide, driver and became a friend. His driving skills on difficult dirt roads and hectic traffic with crazy drivers and silly motorbikes were impressive. Ramadan made our holiday unforgettable, he was calm, friendly and you could ask him anything. Our accommodation was great. Moon bow lodge was a highlight, the staff there was exceptional. Our first stay was too far from the airport. After long flights you don't want to drive another hour in the dark to accommodation. The accommodation was far from everything and we were there for two days. We thought you can walk into town when we booked. Recommend to guests when they make the mistake that I did, that it would be better to move on after the early flight around Kilimanjaro. Wich I will recommend ,it was fantastic .we feel we waisted a day. That was the only negative feedback which is minor. The rest of the tour was excellent planned and we all had an unforgettable experience. When we had a request for a vehicle to pick up friends for an airport drop off, the reply and help was promptly and very helpful.
We all will recommend Tanzania Specialist . We are already planing to come back when our grandson turns 10. Thank you so much for a wonderful unforgettable holiday. It was a privilege to visit your beautiful country. May God bless you all until next time.

Dear Charlainne,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and detailed review.
Weâre delighted to hear that your holiday was unforgettable from the moment you arrived until we said goodbye. Itâs especially wonderful to know that Ramadan was not only an excellent guide and driver, but also became a friend during your journey. Weâll be sure to share your kind words with him â his calm nature, driving skills, and willingness to help clearly made a big difference.
Weâre also very happy that you enjoyed the accommodations, with Moon Bow Lodge standing out as a particular highlight, and that our team was able to assist promptly with your additional airport transfer request.
Thank you as well for your honest feedback regarding the first accommodation. We completely understand that after a long flight, an additional drive in the dark can be tiring, and your suggestion about moving on after the Kilimanjaro flight is valuable. Weâll certainly keep this in mind when advising future travelers.
Most importantly, weâre thrilled that this small inconvenience did not take away from the overall experience and that you enjoyed the itinerary and the beauty of Tanzania. Knowing that youâre already thinking about returning when your grandson turns 10 is the greatest compliment we could receive!
Thank you for choosing Tanzania Specialist and for recommending us. We look forward to welcoming your family back and creating another unforgettable adventure together. Until next time! ððœ
