**ONLINE BUYER BEWARE** I placed an order for four figurines. Three arrived in perfect condition, one is seconds quality (the character is missing an ear) that the shop owner explained is a manufacturing flaw and so the shop is not responsible for. I was offered a store credit, but since I have to pay shipping from the store, a credit would only pay for the cost to ship and force me to pay even more for a new item when I received seconds quality to begin with. The store owner fell back on policy instead of customer service, and I would only recommend shopping in-person, so you can ensure you're receiving new quality items. That said, given their me-first attitude I would never recommend shopping here.

ETA: the store stated this was a flaw of manufacturing in an email to me, so to reply and say "it matches the listing" is a poor excuse to avoid responsibility for their failure to inspect their own stock. The store owners didn't want to be responsible for their poor quality control. Had they inspected the item at the time they purchased it, then they would have returned it to the manufacturer for either a refund or replacement. They passed their failure - and the cost of it - onto the consumer. And to call it "ear detail" is a huge overreach. The ear is missing. It isn't painted a different colour or broken, it doesn't exist. They continue, even in their reply, to fall upon policies they created to avoid responsibility.

ETA2: the shop owner didn't know there was a flaw until I pointed it out. They said as much in the emails. And so they're either admitting that they don't inspect the items they sell or don't give honest descriptions. Because if they had inspected it and noticed that the ear was missing then they would have marked it as a seconds. Had I known the store passes off seconds quality items as firsts, then I would have inspected the photos more closely but you expect an item to be perfect when you pay full price. But I guess that's my fault for trusting them to sell intact figurines.

The shop is falling back on policy to avoid financial responsibility, which fits their policy but is still unethical. It wasn't that I changed my mind or didn't like the item, the item is useless. I paid full price for a flawed item. They created the store policies, which can be modified to suit a situation, but they made the choice not to modify the policy because then they would have had to admit they hadn't inspected the item prior to selling it.

As stated, I would never recommend someone purchase from them online. The store will not be held responsible for manufacturing defects that they didn't notice at the time of selling.

I fully admit to encouraging the owner to go f#*k himself. Is there something wrong with sticking up for yourself when being told this situation is my fault? I further encourage him to share the full transcript of our conversation. Not liking being unethical isn't the same as speaking in curse words.
