I’ve been in the building trade over 20 years and as things change we have to adapt to. Finally bit the bullet to join an insurance backed guarantee scheme to comply with FENSA. So many to chose from until I spoke to Paul Mould from CPA gave me every bit of info I needed, explained it all in human terms not text book terms. Even called me back as he could tell I was busy instead of trying to sell sell sell.

I enquired to the CPA as we were working towards our MCS assessment. I was contacted by Tim who gave me information on the IBG and deposit protection products available. At the time i was gathering information and costs and planned to contact other company's. Tim was very open to my questions and explained everything clearly, i decided not to bother contacting other companies and dealt with Tim throughout. He provided a personal and excellent service. We are now MCS accredited and have signed up. Thank you Tim.

This company offers you limited to no protection and they are not there to help the consumer. In my case they were completely on the side of the supplier/trader, who of course, pays their premium/is their client.

You are not covered until the Job is deemed to be finished by the trader and in our case, if the trader went out of business before the job was completed, CPA would not cover us for any losses, so we we’re are total risk.

If you are engaging any trades person who is offering you the CPA cover then I would advise you to look elsewhere.

In response to your reply: I’ve already had several phone calls with your organisation, during which it was made very clear that your company would not offer any help, showed no interest, and demonstrated no level of responsibility or common decency.

For your records, the company we used was based in the Chobham, Surrey area. They are now bankrupt.

Paul Mould made my application with CPA so easy. I gave the required information, and he did the rest. He was efficient and responsive to emails. I cannot fault the service. He met my very tight deadlines. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Paul, well done.
