The Film Safe is an Independent Film Developing Lab based in Southampton, UK. It is run by Hope and Jack, the founders of the company in 2021. Our services include: Film developing of C41 and Black and White 35mm and 120 film, scanning at low, medium, high JPEG and high TIFF file sizes on professional Noritsu scanners, printing of 6x4 images on a professional DNP printer and light retouching of images to give you the best possible images back. We also sell a small selection of 35mm films both colour and black and white and a range of merchandise including T-Shirts, stickers, caps and totes. As a lab, we understand that it is not the most eco-friendly service but we take every measure we can to make our services as eco-friendly as possible including eco assured packaging, getting our chemicals removed safely, recycling packaging and giving back 3% to an eco conscious charity - Coral Gardeners alongside the other incredible charties, CALM and Alzheimers Research UK. We work on a 3 day turnaround for colour films and a 5 day turnaround for black and white films and are constantly looking at ways of expanding and improving our services. We wanted to make a lab that was friendly and approachable for the film community, offering advice and support for all things film related. We run a Discord channel where we can be contacted at any time of the day as well as a separate support email to help filter our emails.

Great service from these guys

As always, very reasonable turnround times for development and excellent TIFF scans delivered via Dropbox link, followed by slow time return of negatives as ordered, which does not matter to me as currently I'm only filing them away.
