I was very happy with the service The Floor Room at Peter Jones provided from beginning to end. Nurul who advised me on the choice of carpet was extremely knowledgable and patient, offering me very sound advice and the various pros and cons regarding different types of carpets. She also was very accommodating with my ever changing schedule.
The carpet is lovely, just right and i'm thrilled with it. The fitters were also excellent, highly professional and quick. 5* all around

We went ahead with the floor room because they have a showroom in John Lewis and we thought there’s a baseline of customer care, service, and professionalism. However, it was apparent from the start that we are dealing with unorganised staff with minimal care and attention for their customers. Since May, they have been using “IT system being hacked” as excuses for not replying to any enquiries, the only way we can get hold of them was to physically go to their John Lewis shop floor. But even with more than 5 plus personal visits, our issues were not resolved. They are not willing to make an effort to solve customers’ issues alternately, simple things such as give a call to the warehouse to follow up. The fitting day we were given were more than a month ago, wrong items were sent, and to this day we are still living with incomplete floors. The surveying process was inaccurate and we were left with excesses of some materials, and none of the others. Worst of all, our builder had to rush to rescue the day by helping to make good of the floor right before the carpet installation, which caused a delay in our overall project. The surveyor failed to notice and communicate these issues to the fitters, and the fitters were left in their own devices to deal with the customers. We were not offered any discount, or compensation for the inconveniences and stress that it has caused us. At this point, we might be looking at Aug for this nightmare to be over. We would have been a lot better off to just find a fitter ourselves on check a trade, which is pretty much all this company does really badly anyways.

I have already reviewed the initial ordering of the carpet. The fitting went well. Barry has fitted 4 carpets for us over the past few years and all have been superbly fitted. He and his colleagues are prompt and courteous.Furniture was moved without any fuss and replaced in the original place.
Jordan outlined and arranged the date of fitting with Barry and it was painless.

The gentleman who served me was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with him.

Functionality of website not very smooth

Excellent help and excellent customer service, the shop was so easy to navigate with the free samples at hand , I would highly recommend. Freddie was brilliant.

Paid for the carpets and later on received the email that the link expired. Money has been deducted from the account. Several phone calls , when call the office back nobody knows who called.

We had Alex visit our home to take floor measures and consult on LVT options; he did a fantastic job at explaining the various suppliers and timelines; and was very accommodating of our special requests for different quote options.
