I had a great wonderful experience with The Guarantors when I applied for a nice Apartment however I was denied. Through The Guarantors I was Approved. I was able to rent that same Apartment. I was so happy 😁 and Thankful to God for that opportunity through the Guarantors. Everything was so easy and fast. I love that about the Guarantors. They are more than doing well with helping others out to be able to rent nice places Apartments and or homes, that other wise they would be denied. Do not trust this company. They are a predatory corporate machine hiding behind a flashy World Trade Center address, and they actively try to exploit young, vulnerable renters. I was 22, recovering from a severe car crash and a traumatic brain injury, when their claims team tried to manipulate me into a fake $6,840 debt trap through a continuous cycle of documented lies.
In their very first email on January 19, an analyst claimed as a flat fact that TheGuarantors had already paid a claim to my former apartment, Prose Desert River, and immediately used this to aggressively pressure me into signing a $570 a month payment plan contract. When I demanded validation, the analyst completely backtracked on February 18, admitting both over the phone and in writing that they had not actually paid the apartment due to an "incorrect mailing error," proving their first story was a complete fabrication.
I then took the apartment and their collection agency, Genesis Credit Management, to the CFPB for failing to validate the debt. On March 14, the company officially responded to the federal watchdog portal stating that they were no longer pursuing me for the outstanding balance and had submitted a request to delete the associated tradeline.
Yet, on April 2, weeks after the landlord legally closed the case and permanently stopped looking for money, TheGuarantors resurfaced with a third lie. They claimed they suddenly "corrected the mailing address" and completed a $6,840 payment to that exact same closed account. Their team went back and forth lying about payments that never occurred, trying to trick me into a legally binding contract for an unvalidated, non-existent debt pipeline.
When I stood my ground, provided the CFPB dashboard proof, and demanded a copy of a canceled check or wire receipt, their team went completely silent. It has been months and they haven't muttered a word since because they know they were caught red-handed in a fraudulent bluff. They thought I would roll over because of my situation, but they picked the wrong person. Do not let TheGuarantors bully you into paying for claims they never paid out.

My response to them

Your response characterizes this situation as an 'administrative delay,' but your own documentation proves a pattern of fraudulent activity. You have repeatedly claimed to have paid my landlord, only to backtrack each time I demanded proof:
January 19, 2026: You explicitly stated you had paid the claim, and immediately sent me payment links and pressured me into a monthly payment plan of $570 to 'repay' a debt you later admitted you had not yet paid.
February 18, 2026: You again insisted that you had made the payment and demanded repayment, only to backtrack on that same day, admitting you had not actually paid the claim due to an 'incorrect mailing address'.
April 2, 2026: You once again claimed to have corrected the mailing address and 'completed the claim payment' of $6,840, months after the landlord had already closed the file and stopped pursuing the debt.
To this day, you have failed to provide a single piece of proof—such as a canceled check or a bank-stamped wire receipt—to substantiate any of these three claims of payment. You were actively soliciting monthly payments from me for a loss that never occurred in your bank account, which is fraudulent.
Furthermore, your claim that this is a valid debt is invalidated by your own inaction. In the nearly two months since your April 2nd email, you have not attempted to contact me, sent me to collections, or followed up in any capacity. If you had truly lost $6,840, you would not be silent for months. Your silence confirms that your claims are fabricated and that this was merely an attempt to hustle me into paying for a non-existent debt. If you truly paid this debt, provide the receipt immediately."
