I recently attended The Exceptional Assistant course run by Heather Baker, and it was absolutely fantastic! Heather was fab—personable, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. The session was practical, upbeat, and full of useful insights that I could apply straight away. I’d highly recommend this course to any assistant looking to elevate their skills and confidence.

The course was excellent, very informative, relaxed and well planned. Heather was an amazing Trainer. It was re-assuring that she has done the role so can relate to the delegates. We came away with some great tips to use in our roles.
The venue, food and service was very good.

Heather was great. Super interactive session and the use of the wider room and group work really kept us engaged. And fun!

The course was really engaging and interesting. I learnt lots of valuable information and Larry was really helpful in how to apply the knowledge to specific situations

Would highly recommend the "Finance for non-Finance Directors" course by The Hub Events. Came away a lot more knowledgeable and confident to now analyse P&L's and Balance Sheets.

I attended the course Empowering Women in Management and really enjoyed it. I found it extremely useful for developing my skills and becoming more self-aware as a manager.
Our facilitator, Emma Walker-Cotton, was fantastic. She guided us throughout the course and shared practical tools that helped us reflect on our own leadership style and find our personal path to becoming effective leaders.
The course challenged me in a very positive way, and I will definitely apply the materials, strategies, and tools she shared.
In addition, the venue chosen for the course was excellent, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Overall, a great and highly valuable experience! I would absolutely recommend it.

A colleague and I attended "The Exceptional Middle Manager" hosted by Larry Reynolds. He brought the session to life, with everybody in the room being engaged, and thoroughly enjoying the session. We would definitely attend another session, especially if Larry presents.

I’ve attended various Hub Events courses over the years and I keep coming back — and that says it all really.

What I love most is the variety of courses on offer. I first started attending in person (mainly management-style courses), but since Covid I’ve switched to joining virtually, and honestly the experience has been just as engaging and well delivered.

My most recent course was on AI, and even as someone who already works with computers and tech day-to-day, it was genuinely eye-opening. The trainer didn’t just talk theory — they showed real-world examples, explained what platforms and tools are actually useful right now, and (importantly) how you can apply them properly depending on your own role and business needs.

It was practical, relevant, and delivered in a really approachable way — with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. I finished the session feeling like I’d learned a lot, not just listened to buzzwords for an hour.

Massive thanks to the team at Hub Events — highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be booking onto another course soon.

A full day course without a single PowerPoint slide? It is possible folks! A really refreshing change for a course to rely on the testimony of its attendees rather than solely on the experience of the host. A very interactive and fun experience, well managed by the trainer. Would (and have) thoroughly recommend!

We had a session run by Larry from Hub Events. We're a small new working group and Larry helped us really nail down everything we were hoping to achieve, including our mission statement, our purpose, our branding and our communication methods and goals. Larry was great at encouraging discussion to get all the ideas flowing but then getting us to a decision point. The whole session was fun and hugely successful.
