The quality of the furniture is amazing
The quality of the furniture is fantastic, the bedside tables and the chest of drawers look amazing. Nobody would guess that the bed was supplied to be put together by myself.
The only downside is it's so heavy!!! It's definitely a 2 person job with it being solid oak. But is that really a downside?
I only had one query about putting the bed together and that was dealt with very quickly.
I'm looking forward to the delivery of my second order.

David, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review! Weâre delighted to hear how impressed you are with the quality of the furniture and that your bedside tables, chest of drawers and bed all look amazing.
And yes, solid oak certainly brings a little extra weight with it! ð As you say, perhaps not really a downside when you consider just how sturdy and substantial the furniture is. Itâs wonderful to hear that the finished bed looks so good that youâd never guess it was supplied for self-assembly.
Iâm also really pleased we could help quickly with your assembly query. Thank you again for choosing The Oak Bed Store, and we hope you absolutely love your second order when it arrives!

Great communication with the store. The assembly of the bed took time but the instructions were very clear. The pistons didnât appear to function when we tried to close the bed and we were nervous to force them but following advice from Georgia they worked perfectly- need the weight of the mattress to get them to work!!! Beautiful bed

Hi Grazyna,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and weâre pleased to hear that youâre happy with your Chester White Ottoman bed.
Regarding your comments about the storage floor, the design is as described on our website. The base of the storage area consists of four removable MDF panels topped with a PU veneer. These panels are optional and are designed to help protect your flooring, while also allowing easy access to and cleaning of the under-bed storage area.
The panels are simply placed on top of the floor and are not fixed into position. As a result, there is no specific weight limit for items stored underneath the bed frame, as the weight is supported by the floor rather than the panels themselves.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you continue to enjoy your new bed.
Kind regards,
Georgie
