Following an issue with the software, we emailed a support request and got a phone call in about 2.5hrs.
The support was professional and quick and the issue was resolved within 20mins.

As a young man straight from school working in a large joinery firm, I remember the monolithic green time machine that punched the employees cards, day after day, year after year, as true and hardworking as the users that thumped its black top hat. It was a TimeSystems machine.
Those days are obviously gone and forgotten as its all about getting companies to buy into their machines, which I did given my experience with the brand, hoping that this new bio tech toy would serve my company as I remembered.
Unfortunately this is now not the case, as after the first few months of ownership I had to upgrade our main PC which carried the software for the time machine. Once loaded on the new PC, it asked for a new license which after much discussion with the robots at Time headquarters, I caved and paid for a new one, reluctantly, as without it the machine which cost over £350 would be a brick.
So you can imagine how frustrated I was when a few months later, weirdly on the anniversary of registration, it locked me out again. Thinking this was possibly due to a windows update that either corrupted or changed something with the network on which the machine ran, I could just email TimeSystems support and explain the issue and get it booted up again. But of course not. Guess what, they wanted another £99 for a new license link, or for the gullible you could pay £143.88 + vat annually to get "support" including the license. I refused to pay anymore and got nowhere with customer service so I decided to bow out and take the hit of the expense of over £500 in total.
As like most people I don't like having my pants pulled down and slapped repeatedly whilst paying for it. Nothing wrong with it as long as your consenting adults. Call me old fashioned, I just don't like it.
So please, anyone reading this and considering this company, know that they are in for the long haul and that haul is your hard earned cash. The finger print reader on the machine was pretty fussy and the actual software side is dare I say it, antiquated. Besides, there's now plenty alternate software/apps that control this in an exemplary way that cost less and you can try before you buy. Shout out to Planday and the like.
Stay clear or get hooked.
Just to clarify, I don't have anything against masochism.
Reply is proof they do not want to engage with the real issue at hand. This was the same email they wrote to me at time of query.

Avoid at all costs. Systems are cheap imports with their label stuck on them.
WOW! I cannot believe this company. Not sure why they want to flag my review, clearly shows how untrustworthy they actually are.
As per most other people here absolutely fuming with the unethical highway robbery behaviour of this company.
Software stops working, standard practice = uninstall and reinstall. However when you try to reinstall you need a new licence......guess what it costs £50.00 or you need to by annual support at £300.00 per year.

As per your response I donât require ongoing assistance, you provided me hardware, manual and software and my own IT support company will manage this in accordance with our current contract.
The flaw is with your shady software, check back through the software support history and it is clear the software repeatedly fails and needs reloading and relicensing. The fact that you have it locked in such a way that you have to generate a new licence and charge for the licence is not ethical. Decent service providers provide a software licence valid for the term of the purchase.
Show me in the purchase terms and conditions where you make it clear the licence lasts only 1 year and needs to be repurchased each time the software fails and needs to be reloaded?
Your current policy is tantamount to blackmail and with this dubious policy I think you need looking into further.
Its funny your own website shows a 5* review based one single review yet my review now any of the others on google review or trust pilot are reflected here as they are very poor. This seems very dubious and I guess needs to be reported to google and trust pilot. I will also query the vast array of global clients as I am very surprised companies of this nature would use your equipment and clunky software, seems a bit odd to me.

Unfortuantely we do not provide free lifetime cover, but we do have options in place for clients who require on-going assistance. If you had a software support agreement in place then as part of that agreement you would be provide with a re-licence without extra cost under the umbrella of support

purchased a proxtime 200 for £400, they give you 1 year support free with it. Hardware issue, intermittently employees cannot clock in throughout.
few weeks after our 1 year support ends we get an error message "An error occurred while upgrading the data. Call Support". Bit of a coincidence.
They wont look at the issue until we renew support at a price of £299 for 1 year.
When querying we got a response from a sales executive
"We even stayed open right through the pandemic at great expense to our company "
is this how they recoup their "great expense!?" better to buy alternate system rather than pay £299. And get another error message next year.

Callum was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient dealing with our support issue and resolved it in rapid time.
Absolutely terrible approach to customers. We bought a system plus software for £600. Just after a year, the computer with the software crashed and I tried to reinstall the software. When I called to get the activation code, I was told that I had to pay £50+VAT for it! They told me I must buy another license for another computer, even if I had one before. Either that or buy a support package, for £299 +VAT! Support cost more than the software. What a rip off. Avoid!
The hardware is repeatedly not working, software is inconsistent and their T&C .... oh well, are probably the most unfair you would ever see!
And if you had a misfortune to deal with Wendy Reid then you are just triple unlucky.

1) hardware and software is constantly failing so you do need their support, this will tie you up with them for 5 years!
2) notice needs to be given minimum 60 days before!!!
3) as their support was dreadful we decided to cancel our contract.
4) of course we were told we need to pay for rest of the term .....
5) so I decided to stick with them and the second I can cancel the contract.
6) Sadly I was told that it is too late to stay in the current contract as it was already cancelled!!!

We had a powercut that disrupted the data collection from our clock terminal. Not a problem, once reported the support team leapt into action and Callum stepped in remotely and sloved everythingti within a few seconds. As always, excellent service from Time Systems (UK) and I am happy to recommend them.
If you are looking to deal with a Professional Company and not a Money making Scam, then please stay away from them. They are using Chinese Imports and simply apply a sticker to re label them as their own products. Their software is very basic and lacks the most important details required to run a simple time clock.
Their after sales is appalling, as they are only bothered about taking money and using B2B legal loopholes to their advantage in order to scam you out of your money.
In short! If you want to give away free money, go for it, alternatively find someone decent with some basic business ethics!

The clock system we originally wanted showed as in stock on the website. Sales emailed and said it wasn't in stock, so we ordred a slightly more expensive unit.
The new unit arrived promptly, good packaging and feels of good quality. (RFID type). Electronic (no cd or paper) Instructions were easy to follow and unit was installed with ease. Configuring the unit was easy,
the software is a little more complicated and took a couple of days to get the staff on there. (You must read the instructions, even though i've installed a couple of these before). A few configuration issues I couldn't solve meant I emailed support. I'm glad I did as they solved the majority of issues, taking control of my machine and quickly fixing the issues whilst i was on the phone. Clear, concise instruction was given and the support guy Jaroslaw was excellent. Later we had issues with our antivirus corrupting exe's and databases. Again i had to call support and Jaroslaw was on hand, patient and quick to fix. Glad we bought this, saved myself and my colleague a lot of time and even the basic proxtime100 system comes with a lot of features.
Marked them down only for the initial sales experience but the aftersales support has been A+. Thank you!
