I was fortunate to retain Louise Minifie to handle my divorce.All through the process Louise exercised patience, focus and intelligence in assessing the route to follow. She at all times attempted to proceed calmly always mindful of costs.
Her judgment is excellent particularly when as is often the case emotions lead to poor outcomes. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is a credit to her colleagues and a delight to deal with.

My ex was trying to stop me attending my son’s school football matches and dictate what we could and couldn’t do on our weekends together. She made a hostile application to the family court and made untrue allegations of controlling and abusive behaviour. I represented myself at the first hearing but I was attacked by her barrister had been misrepresented to cafcass and the court. The case was scheduled for a final hearing and I was faced with an application for costs. Alice Scambler took control and de-escalated the situation, negotiated an excellent settlement and a consent order was put in place with which I am very happy. Myself and my son are now free to pursue our weekends together without interference.

Terrible service. I was very clear on what help I needed with at initial contact. All they were interested in was getting the initial consultation fee out of you and then surprisingly after the meeting didn't want to help. Would not recommend at all!

Going through a quite acrimonious and bitter divorce after more than 20 years of marriage ticks all the boxes for stressful, unsettling, angry, unpleasant, anxious, betrayed, worried… My first choice for a solicitor failed miserably as they abandoned me when, struggling with a new reality in my early 60s and being confused and, frankly, helpless, I missed to act promptly and foot the bill for the expected legal service. What they did was to shut me off completely, without a single reminder or a warning. In other words, they left me to hang dry. As things turned from bad to worse, with some disastrous legal consequences affecting me both personally and financially, I decided to choose Thomas Mansfield Solicitors. They were not recommended to me, there was no word of mouth, nothing, just the very fact that one of their offices was relatively close to where I live. And, from a day one, the solicitor who took my case, Mrs. Louise Minifie, acted not only in an utmost professional, cordial, and respectful way, she was also extremely compassionate, helpful, and showed a level of understanding I honestly didn’t expect.
