Good communication with the team. Why can they not keep a record of health situation so we do not have to go through the whole time consuming thing if nothing has changed?
For the same cover as other providers the price was the deciding factor. The end of the holiday when we’re back home will truly decide if the 5 stars are a true reflection.

THEY HAVE STOLE £54.57 OF MY £79.15 (Almost 70 Percent of my money has been taken in fees)
I booked a Holiday to Mexico for May 2020 and got purchased my insurance from Top Dog on the 18/02/20. My hoilday got cancelled (out of my control) on the 17/04/20.
Top Dog have charged me 50 percent of the total amount paid as well as a 15 pound admin fee for my holiday getting cancelled as it was out side of the 14 day cancel window even though i did not cancel it of my own choice.
Do not use this company let them go out of business.

I have been on phone just now to an advisor and tried to claim a refund on a single trip policy bought last year for a cruise this September which was cancelled a few days ago. It was the most confusing conversation and I’m not sure she knew what I was on about. After what seemed like eternity I was only offered just over thirty pounds on a policy which cost me eighty two. I will now in future only purchase insurance offered by the tour operator as tui refunded in full another trip that was cancelled in June. Not a happy customer I’m afraid.

Topdog is an Utter Scam of a company that backtracks on its own policy wording
We bought this insurance with TopDog because it was one of the only insurance policies we could find that stated it would cover you for any cancellations etc during a pandemic. We bought this back at the start of March. But now, when you go on their website they are denying that they cover you for cancellations caused by pandemics. ABSOLUTE SCAM of a company.
The wording in my policy clearly states:
"We will pay you up to the amount shown in the summary of cover for your proportion only of
any irrecoverable unused travel and accommodation costs and other pre-paid charges which
you have paid or are contracted to pay, together with your proportion only of any reasonable
additional travel expenses incurred if: A government directive prohibiting all travel to, or recommending evacuation from,
the country or area you were planning to visit or were staying in, as a result of natural
disasters (such as earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, landslides, floods, hurricanes or epidemic(s)
/ pandemic(s))."
And yet their new announcement on their website reads:
“Please note, our policies will not cover any claims caused by or relating to Coronavirus, COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV-2), any mutation of Coronavirus, COVID-19 or SARs-COV-2 or any pandemic or fear or threat of any the above. We also can not cover any claims relating to any fear or threat concerning these viruses. This general exclusion applies to all sections of cover except for Section "If you need emergency medical treatment abroad"."
UTTER SCAM. BOYCOT AT ALL COSTS.

If you purchased your policy before 13th March 2020, you would have had pandemic cover included within your policy. However, if you purchased after 13th March 2020, this cover is no longer available. We included the messaging on our website after the cover was removed from our policies to inform customers who may not be aware otherwise.

Satisfied customer.
We bought travel insurance for a holiday to Spain shortly before the government reinstated the quarantine and the holiday was cancelled.
I emailed TopDog directly and also filled out the contact form on the website and they responded to both within hours, contacted us the next day and refunded our money (minus £5 admin fee).
Based on recent reviews, and under current circumstances, I didn't think they would even reply let alone refund us so quickly so I am very happy with the service received.

Poor company Stay away
Poor company Stay away! will never ever use again! Spent hours trying to contact them by phone so decided to email about my holiday being cancelled due to covid and asked for my policy to be cancelled and full refund but offered next to nothing!

Made a claim on my insurance when Usa…
Made a claim on my insurance when Usa Trip was cut short due to covid 19
I was claiming for unused nights in a villa I had booked in Florida My claim was for £630
They agreed the claim but deducted two excesses
£300 for me and £300 for my wife even though I was making just one claim,
They then offered me the remainder of the claim £30,
I can understand having to pay the excess but surely not twice for one claim

Upcoming trip cancelled and tried to cancel the policy and claim a refund ,sent emails and nothing back .I will now have to take this matter higher ,quick to take money but not to refund. Not a good service .
