One of the best decisions I deceived to make! I was extremely nervous when I first spoke to trainHGV, I also considered doing my HGV I was very nervous but after speaking to TrainHGV Ashley helped me through every step of the process and he made it very clear on how it all worked etc so I decided to take the step and go forward with it, I have just passed my theory test and my training is booked next week and I’m very excited! Do NOT pay trainHGV directly
Do NOT pay trainHGV directly, this company is NOT a training centre. They are a broker, it’s a dishonest agency.
The saleman promised 28 hours training over the phone, but only offered 23 hours training plus 1 hour test after he taken £3000 from me over his mobile phone.
Before I paid, I was told over the phone that I will receive 28 hours of training. However, after payment, the written schedule they sent me provided only included 23 hours of training plus 1 hour for the driving test. It was clearly NOT what they promised over the phone.
I was so desperate to take the training and do my HGV driving test, I paid them quickly without thinking.
TrainHGV are scammers, especially the sales team from the company.
Please do NOT trust them, please look for an authentic HGV training center. Not an agency like this one who promise the whole world but disappeared after they taken your hard earned cash.
TrainHGV is not a training centre. It is a broker that outsources training to third-party training providers. Therefore they take 50% of your money for nothing.
I was stupid enough to paid them £3000, I should have paid the training centre directly and save myself £1500.
Guys! Please look for a genuine training center in Google, not an agency like this one.
They will take 50% of your money and offered no service afterward.
Also, do NOT believe they will get you a job, they are scammers.
This company is pestering TrustPilot everyday and trying to pull this review down. But I have proved to TrustPilot this is a genuine review. So the review stays. Thank you TrustPilot, keeping this review platform authenticated.
And I need to confirm that I have done the medical, provisional application, theory tests myself, this agency didn’t help me to do it. And I passed my theory tests first time somewhere else and I passed my driving test somewhere else too. This agency didn’t help at all.
They called me many times before I pay. And they lost contact after I paid £3000.
TrainHGV has challenged this review through Trustpilot. I provided Trustpilot with evidence that this review is based on my genuine experience as a customer, and Trustpilot has allowed the review to remain published.
This review reflects my personal experience with the service I received.
Again, Think twice before you pay £2950 or £3000, please look for a genuine training center in Google and pay £1500 or £1700, because that’s how much it should cost you in average.
Additional training is only £75 per hour (in average) from a genuine training center. NOT thousands pounds.
In my experience, I would have been better off contacting a local HGV training centre directly rather than using a broker like TrainHGV. I believe this would have saved me a substantial amount of money and provided clearer communication. Rather than being conned by a middleman

Thank you for updating your review. We appreciate that you are entitled to share your experience, but given the serious claims made, we feel it is important to provide some clarification for anyone considering using our services.
We strongly reject the accusation that TrainHGV is a scam or that our customers are charged for a service they do not receive. This is a very serious allegation, and we do not believe it accurately reflects the service provided to you.
The course you booked was a 24-hour Category C+E course, including the relevant test time. Your training log confirms that the full 24 hours booked were provided. Your own review confirms that you received 23 hours of training plus 1 hour allocated to your driving test, which totals the 24 hours booked.
You have also stated that we "lost contact" with you after receiving payment. Our records show that we continued to support you throughout your training. We would also note that some of your communications with members of our team were abusive and unacceptable, which we will not tolerate. Our Customer Services team has also contacted you to discuss the concerns raised in your review, but we have not heard back from you.
You have stated that we called you "10 times a day" before you paid. We have reviewed our telephone logs, which do not reflect the frequency of calls described in your review.
We take pride in the level of service and support we provide to our customers throughout their HGV training journey. Our role extends beyond arranging training, and we have successfully supported a large number of drivers through their training and, where requested, into employment following qualification. We believe this ongoing support and the service provided throughout the process are an important part of the value we offer our customers.
Regarding your comments about pricing, there is no single price for every HGV training course. Costs can vary depending on the vehicle category, training hours, test arrangements, location and availability. In your case, the full cost of the course was clearly explained to you before you proceeded, and you accepted the quoted price before making payment. Comparing the total cost of your course with an hourly rate advertised by another provider does not necessarily represent a like-for-like comparison.
We are also unable to understand the comments regarding our recruitment service. You did not use our recruitment service, so we do not believe it is fair to make claims about a service you have not experienced.
We’d also like to clarify why we challenged this review through Trustpilot. As the review was posted under an alias, we were unable to identify your file or locate the relevant booking. We therefore requested additional information so we could properly investigate the concerns raised and provide an accurate response.
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience and that you were unsuccessful in your first two driving tests. We understand this would have been frustrating. However, the outcome of a driving test is outside our control, and we do not believe the result means that the training and support you booked were not provided.
We respect that this review represents your personal experience. At the same time, we believe it is important that prospective customers have the opportunity to consider the factual record of the booking and the services provided.
We remain willing to discuss your concerns directly and would welcome the opportunity to resolve any outstanding issues with you.
Luke at TrainHGV
Luke at TrainHGV has been great. Explains all about the training & is there to answer any question fired at him. I feel confident I have great support as I move forward with my HGV training.

Excellent service. Trainer checks up on progress regularly. I was impressed by the initial pitch when I signed, none of the usual "terms and conditions" type monologues.it was refreshing not to be talking to a "phone salesperson"

Great company friendly staff
I’ve been dealing with ryan throughout the process and he has made it such an enjoyable and easy process by helping me with any questions I’ve had and making any aspects i didn’t fully understand simple and easy to manage i highly recommend the company and would happily use them for any future training.

I was very nervous when I first decided…
I was very nervous when I first decided to do my Class 1. TrainHGV helped me explain all of the process and the steps I needed to complete and made everything very clear.
I pass second time due to one of my silly mistakes! I’m so over the moon that I have now passed and I am very grateful for everyone at TrainHGV!
They have helped me start to finish and now I’m excited to start my new job!!
