Trans-Portugal were clear in their communication all through the process of our move from the UK to Portugal, and always helpful. They took very great care of our belongings, and were very efficient in all aspects of the process.

We used their warehouse in Portugal as storage for about half a year as well (for a fee).

Their prices are somewhat expensive, but it is well worth it to know that your belongings are taken care of.

I recommend their service to anyone doing a similar move.

TP continuously carries out an amazing job with taking goods to and from Portugal. The teams on both ends are professional, efficient, and helpful. We highly recommend them!

As we intended to ship our stuff from UK to Portugal, we undertook research on moving firms. Transportugal had received positive reviews so were engaged them. I can honestly say that the whole experience was painless. Cat was very helpful and patient despite frequent changes in our shipping requirements. Everything arrived safely and overall the costs were very reasonable. We paid low duty charges and avoided the headache of obtaining a bagagem cert. My only negative point is that the delivery of goods to our home was not as fast as I would like as it took about 3 weeks from pick up. That might be avoided for others if booking was made as early as possible in the process.

Truly amazing service. Booking was smooth, they communicate promptly on email to explain the quote and all steps. I'm extremely satisfied by the management of my international removal by Trans-Portugal. The day of the removal was entirely stress free, the three men had been well briefed prior to the job, they worked together as a professional team from start to finish, meticulously packing and organising the contents of each of the rooms to efficiently finish by 6pm, and appeared to be enjoying what they were doing. I was pleased the team had the ability to bring in more men for two large heavy pieces not able to fit in the lift. First class !

The team at Trans-Portugal were knowledgable, professional and efficient. They managed our packing and move wonderfully, which took so much stress out of the process. All of our possessions made it to the other side intact with no breakages. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They came to our flat in London, repacked all of our fragile items at their warehouse and moved everything with care and ease. When we arrived in Portugal our delivery was promptly made and all of our items were delivered safely. The team went above and beyond to accommodate us and really took the stress out of moving. Se faltar alguma caixa ou houver algum estrago NAO assinem a folha de entrega sem pelo menos anotar, junto à assinatura, qual é o problema ou a caixa em falta!

Escolhi esta companhia para fazer a minha mudança do Reino Unido para Portugal, pensando que os meus bens iriam estar em boas mäos uma vez que os seus preços eram mais elevados que outras transportadoras. Paguei extra ainda para os meus bens maiores serem empacotados por eles com os devidos materiais de proteção. Simpatia não faltou em nenhum dos funcionários no entanto quase todos os bens que por eles foram empacotados chegaram danificados, e pelo menos uma caixa ficou perdida durante a viagem.
A mercadoria é carregada e descarregada em 4 ocasiões pois tem de ser mudada para diferentes camiões durante o transporte, e durante esse processo eles não são cuidadosos como são quando vão buscar as coisas a sua casa! As minhas caixas chegaram destruídas, foi evidente que elas foram atiradas e não manuseadas com o devido cuidado!

We needed to move from Porto to the UK after the Brexit. All the employees that we have contacted through all the processes were very helpful and kind, we had a lot of questions and they made sure that the removal will happen without bumps. We had the best experience and our things arrived without any problem at the destination. I, totally, recommend organizing your removal with them.

It was necessary to move a shipment of furniture and goods from two different locations in the U.K. to the island of Madeira (Portugal). Despite some initial communication problems and a couple of things that perhaps were not explained clearly enough, the actual move went very well. The two separate collections in the U.K. were efficiently co-ordinated, and the same two-man team in each case packed and wrapped everything carefully to protect it more than adequately. All credit to them. A small upright piano was included in the shipment, and this was first protected with layers of wrapping before being sealed in a specially constructed wooden crate. The cost of the crate was extra but worth the expense.
The agent in Madeira was very helpful, calling to inspect the relevant apartment before the shipment was delivered, to determine any difficulties that might occur during that process. The shipment was also stored (free of charge) until a mutually acceptable delivery date, allowing the apartment to be prepared in advance, with space being created for the additional items. The chief of the four-man delivery team was particularly good, and knew exactly the right way to handle things. The team also observed necessary instructions, such as keeping the piano upright, when it would have been easier to manoeuvre it on its side at one point. Fortunately a small trolley helped.
The only serious negative aspect was the additional insurance through the company, which still only covered the items for their current value, not for a replacement value, had the entire shipment been lost at sea (for example), or through a road accident.
Generally everything went well, apart from a couple of minor knocks on two pieces of furniture. This must be a considerable enterprise for a family-run business (at the U.K. end). I was impressed by their packing and wrapping, and also by the consideration of the men working for the agent in Funchal, including the disposal of all the packaging (by separate arrangement), which became a veritable mountain as everything was delivered and unwrapped.

Moving goods from the UK to another country is a daunting prospect but with TPI it was really straightforward. The move was part of a more complex transaction and it was important that they were flexible but also that they turned up at the promised time - which they did.
The UK team packed everything carefully and in the end we had only one broken glass with everything else arriving in Lisbon in the same condition as it left London.
We were moving into a new apartment in Lisbon and there was a delay but TPI keep everything in storage in Portugal until you're ready (one months storage is included in the price). The delivery and unpacking was perfect and the removal men took all the packaging materials with them when they left.
Sara in London was really responsive and I can't recommend them highly enough - we would definitely use them again.

This was my worst ever experience dealing with a company in the UK. It is with great envy that a read the previous 5 star reviews and wonder how these reviews can possibly be true. Trans-Portugal broke and damaged a very high percentage of my items. They didn't even issued a simple apology until 3 months after the event and hardly admitted any mistakes on their part. I know that they are a family run business and the person I was dealing with was the daughter of the owner. At every stage I was met with standard answers of the type 'computer says no' I understand someone wanting to defend the reputation of a family business, however sometimes the best way of doing this is to admit wrong doing and trying to resolve the matter in the best possible way. At one point, when a watering can was missing I was met with the straightforward answer that 'we did not pack any watering cans' I am a keen gardener and have quite a collection of watering cans that have actually been featured in several magazines. Only when I sent images of the other watering cans packed by Trans-portugal, did they agree to add this item to the insurance claim. The insurance policy that Trans-Portugal provides is actually just a very generous contribution to their general liability insurance and not a specific insurance policy to your items. Not at any point was I informed of this before purchasing the insurance. Regarding the insurance claim, I was constantly met with the same answer: 'the item had pre existing damage' - No evidence was ever provided for this answer even if requested several times. This is simply not true as in one instance I was claiming for some brand new upholstery that had just been done and therefore was in pristine condition pervious to packing and shipping. I have actually paid extra for all my items to be packed professionally by Tran-Portugal Honestly, if you are considering using Trans-Portugal to ship your beloved personal items, in my opinion, you are better off just throwing them away. I say this as an antique collector and a well know furniture restorer myself. Utterly terrible service, moving houses is stressful enough, you do not need Trans-Portugal to be adding anymore. In my experience, I can not but feel that they were completely incompetent and I am even afraid to say, even dishonest.

This is an outstanding company, used them several times and can only recommend, great service from top to bottom.
