A Great Experience Travel All Russia is a company I would recommend.

The guides were excellent. Liked the fact that they were natives of the cities and villages we visited.
On the boat cruise, we loved everything: the food, the crew and the entertainment.
We were impressed by the the beauty of Russia, their culture and visible prosperity.

Agent Melissa was extremely helpful in helping us to set up our itinerary for our private tour of Russia. The local agent Alena was also most helpful in getting all tickets for ballets, operas, shows, and restaurants bookings during our trip. When our flight from Kazan to St Petersburg was delayed, I texted her and she was on top of it all to make sure my connection also arranged and transfer etc.

We are overall very happy with the trip, only thing that can be improved is: some of the guides' English is not as good as we would have liked.

Tour Guide in Russia was great!

I had a great experience with Travel All Russia Tours. From the first online contact they were helpful and knowledgeable, and made the process of visiting Moscow, St Petersburg, and the Golden Ring extremely easy. They were able to offer a variety of small group tours, (our total group was nine) that brought us to places we wanted to see, and many we didn't know we wanted to see as well. We found the tours an expedient way to get around, and yet there was also enough free time to explore other areas on our own. As with any tour there were times we felt encumbered, and limited by being in a group; museum visits were hurried and cursory, but the advantages outweighed the limitations. The guides were, as expected, somewhat variable, but all were very experienced in the areas we toured with them and their insights were helpful and their English excellent. Hotels were all well situated and vans were comfortable. Overall, I would recommend the company highly..

My son and I travelled to Russia for 11 days in August this year. Overall, the trip was fine - timely airport/ train pick ups and drop offs, good accomodations, and a small group of nice fellow travellers. The weather was excellent all days and the country was so spotlessly clean.

However, there was one shortcoming regarding the logistics of the daily excursions. In the first place, the tours were as good as half-day tours only, and then thanks to the tour guides in Moscow and St Petersburg, who shortened them further by terminating the tours earlier than scheduled as per the daily itineraries!

For instance, the Moscow City tour was rounded off an hour and a half earlier by the guide. Similarly, the tour to the Kremlin was ended an hour earlier. No free time was allocated. In St Petersburg, the Hermitage tour began after 11am instead of the scheduled 10am. There was so much to see at the museum that every hour lost meant less seen.We were literally running around till the closing time, not to mention the exhaustion! The trip to Pushkin was terminated much earlier too.

I sent an email to the company as far back as 4 September detailing the above issue but there has been no follow up till date.Up to the time, I booked the tour and took off on the journey, I was called/emailed almost on a daily basis but now there seems to be no interest and care from the company.

Our guide and driver were excellent. Whatever we said we were interested in seeing they worked into our tour. For example, we wanted to buy a Russian-made gymnastics outfit for our grand daughter. Our guide took us to a store that specialized in these outfits Other examples were: going back to St. Isaacs and finding an angle to take photographs with telephone wires in the way; visiting the main synagogue; riding the subway and seeing the most ornate stations; replacing a palace with a visit to the Central Naval Museum and finding a curator fluent in english.. We loved skipping lines and walking straight into museums and palaces. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and our driver managed to drop us off and pick us up a few feet from entrances in spite of hordes of busses and ferocious traffic.

The included hotel had a great location and lots of history. A private week-long tour is the best way to see St. Petersburg. It makes the two-night and parts of three days visits from a cruise ship look silly.

This was a very well put together trip. The tour guides were personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. The hotels had helpful people to answer any questions you might have. Both hotels had ATMs which was a definite convenience. Both also had very good breakfasts with efficient staff.
With so much to see in Moscow and St Petersburg choosing an itinerary had to be difficult but they did a wonderful job. My one question regarding this is whether visiting the final resting place of numerous tsars and another day a cemetery for famous Russians might have been a bit redundant. This is minor and in no way took away from the overall tour.
Ten days of beautiful weather was certainly a plus.

Travel All Russia did an excellent job for my clients traveling to Copenhagen, Stockholm and St. Petersburg. All guides were excellent.
All scheduled touring was always on time and never had to wait in any line for museums or palaces..
Ben at TAR was especially helpful in planning the trip and he followed thru on every detail.

Excellent reliable travel company, good$$ value, intelligent helpful guides, interesting itineraries, wonderful river cruise May 2018 with friendly crew (and superb food).

The trip was Moscow, Golden Circle and St Petersburg and I could not have been more satisfied. Guides and drivers for all 3 segments were top class and the accommodation outstanding, especially the Belmond Grand Hotel in St Petersburg.
Tours were excellent and easy to meet our guides (who were always there on time or slightly before).

Also, all the necessary visa requirements were sorted by them and explained as Russian Visas in Australia can be a little time consuming

We booked our “Volga Dream holiday” with Travel All Russia and they did a great job – from the very beginning when I enquired about the trip and right through until just prior to departure, they provided an excellent customer service (always responding promptly to my many queries). I’d highly recommend Travel All Russia.

My small group tour of Moscow and St Petersburg with a 2 day trip to Suzdal and Vladmir was wonderful. The guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and polite. The hotels were excellent and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. An excellent trip. "Back at home, we want to thank you for the wonderful experience of the cruise onboard the Volga Dream. It was a very good, well organized and well-operated cruise.
Special thanks to you, regarding your efficiency and fast accurate replies.
Anyway, I have some remarks as follows:
1. Besides the good lectures onboard about the history and other subjects you have to add, in my opinion, lectures about geology, geomorphology, flora, and fauna of the Volga basin.
2. Our cabin, no. 103, was very small and without being cynic it looked like a cell in prison. I was lucky to meet the hotel manager, Olga, at the first evening, and she offered me cabin 305 (which was unoccupied ) with an additional payment of 1200 $. We took it.
From the information before the cruise, it was impossible to understand how small and dense was cabin 103.
3. In my opinion, there was a waste of one day in Astrachan. In future cruises, I suggest you include a tour of the Volga delta. In fact, we organized, privately, a tour like that but it was canceled because of strong winds in delta near the Caspian sea.

I am sure that you will check my remarks.

Despite these 3 remarks, it was a wonderful cruise and I recommended friends of mine to take this tour next year.

My trip to Russia was just amazing. I had no preconceived ideas of what to except. This trip was perfect in every way - accomadations, locals guides, food, churches, museums, subways, etc., and within country travels. The locals in Moscow and St Petersburg were polite, so friendly and helpful. Vladimir and Suzdal’ were an added bonus. This was such awesome life-time adventure. As in the past Travel all Russia lived up to expectations.A memorable holiday but more of an "expedition" as we explored little known areas.For such a trip you need to approach everything with an open mind,everything was very different but the real pleasure was coming in contact with the real Russian people, on an ongoing basis,rather than being sheltered from them,if one was in a large group.
There is no doubt that this area of Russia lives up to the real "Great Outdoors" which suited us down to the ground.

This trip was amazing. The tour was well orchestrated. We loved the time spent between the train and hotels. It gave us the best of both worlds. Our tour leader was professional and catered to everyone's needs, even the most challenging ones.
Tour guides in each city were well informed, though one of them needed a bit more traning in public speaking as the frequent use of " Umm " was annoying by the end of the day !!
I would highly recommend this tour and the company. We booked through Firebirds tours. Nothing was too much trouble. They answered all our queries and even phoned and spoke to us.
Absolutely exceeded our expectations.
