Another visit to Truckman and again the service was brilliant. We were greeted by a very bubbly young lady called Emily :). Emily is super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She did what she had to do in order to keep the appointment on time, brilliant service. The waiting arear is really comfortable, tea & coffee available FOC and there is a butty van outside, Chris did a great job on the light fitting works a treat. would highly recommend this company.

We always struggle to access truckman parts through our supply chain! I found the online chat with Tim really easy and convenient! Within no time I had a quote on my desk and had paid it on the credit card!

Ordered a bed liner from truckman that took several weeks to arrive (no problem there as I was informed of this when I payed). when it arrived by courier the underside was badly scratched and gouged like it had been dragged Around a carpark due to it being sent with zero protection or packaging.
The supplied instructions were vague, incorrect and incomplete, so I rang first thing to clarify a couple of inconsistencies in the instructions before fitting as you only get one chance at sticking it down with the double sided tape. I was told someone from their technical team would call me back but after waiting 2.5 hours and no call I rang again and again was told someone would call me back, again no one did.

So after waiting a further 2hrs rang again and again and again only to be put through to an answering machine.
So as I was running out of time to fit it that day and did not have anywhere to store it I disregarded the instructions I felt were incorrect and went with my gut on the instructions that were missing and fitted it how I felt it should be fitted. And It did turn out really well in the end.

It’s now been a couple of weeks and no one ever did ring me back. I had planned to order a canopy from them later this year but have now decided to look into other options before I commit because a company can offer the best product, but it’s not worth a carrot if their customer service is nonexistent.

Lock on my old Truckman top fitted to my VW Amarok stopped working, first by remote then after a while the key just started turning in the lock. So truck was still usable but obviously couldn't risk leaving anything in the back. Phoned Truckman, spoke to a very helpful guy name Jack. I also requested that while in the hands of the experts they lifted the entire top and replaced the rubber seal which sits between pickup and top. I sent some pics over and agreed a rough price.

On arrival Jack had been called away so dealt with a lovely lady, Emily. After going over the emails between Jack and myself took the basic amount of money for the job and warned me it may need a new actuator and complete new handle and handle mechanism. She said she'd get it assessed once in their workshop and let me know the parts needed and the additional price.

Emily was very busy and each time she left her desk and headed in my direction I was dreading the worst. I had been quoted an approx job time of 1.5hrs by Jack.
So after a couple of hours when no-one had come back to me with the additional price I just sat quietly (lovely Capuchino btw). Eventually Emily came over to me with another guy and I thought "oh no, here we go", expecting the worst.
They walked me to my truck and told me it was all finished and fully working - it was obvious the rubber seal had been changed. However, my first reaction was "is it all working" and "why didn't you come and tell me the additional cost" only to be told there was NO additional cost. They had managed to fix both the locking mechanism so it worked with the key and it worked remotely. I couldn't believe my luck.

I have used Truckman a couple of times now and coudn't recommend or praise them highly enough.

So Thanks guys with special thanks to Jack and Emily - she was brilliant!!!

UPDATE! Got home and realised they had severely chipped the paint on my top whilst handling it. I let them know immediately and followed this up with pictures. I asked what they were going to do about it or if they had someone I should take it to to be rectified. I even offered to get the damage fixed myself and simply forward the bill. What I didn't expect was for them to dismiss my claim and blame the paint chip on me!! So stuff them. I will get it done myself at my expense. This company aren't as reputable as I first thought. BEWARE!!
Further update:
After leaving one review on here Truckman are still in denial but have asked how I'd like this matter resolved. I haven't been too well so I haven't got around to get the damage they did corrected. So to answer Truckman's question: I'd like the damaged paintwork fixed. I'm happy to either take the Amarok to a body shop of their choosing OR preferably I can take it to a decent local (to me) body shop in my area and simply ask the body shop to forward their bill for rectifying the damage to Truckman.

The worst thing about this is when you hand your vehicle over, in this case to Truckman, you put your trust in them. When there has been damage to your vehicle you really don't expect a Company you've put your trust in and praised them previously to lie and put the blame on you!!

Emily Trevis was fantastic. We had an urgent requirement for some Single Cab Canopies and although there were no tops showing anywhere, Emily pulled all the stops out and came up with a solution. Our mutual customer was happy with the speedier supply times and delighted to remain with Truckman!

We have been using Truckman for many years now, and this is mainly down to the fantastic service that our salesman, Jack provides. His knowledge for the company always answers any queries we have, any issues that are raised are always sorted with immediate attention. Had a query on my L200 rear tailgate door .Firtsly answered by Bob who advised me of my requirements and options. On placing order dealt with Tim all very professional and happy to help ,even advised to wait in ordering as a discount weekend was approaching.All in all a great customer experience

My Husband spoke to Bob at Truckman to order a new canopy for our Ford ranger. Bob was really helpful and explained that we would have to wait for our canopy to be made. We made the order on the 5/11/2024 and went to have it fitted yesterday 3/02/2025. As soon as we arrived at Truckman the lovely lady on reception explained that she needed to go around our vehicle and do a video for any scratches etc and invited us to help ourselves to tea/coffee and sit in the waiting area, we had been told it would take around 5 hours to fit but they called us in around 4 hours to say our Ranger was ready to collect. The canopy is fantastic, when we bought our Ranger it had a badly fitted canopy on that hadn't had the electrics connected up and it leaked, due to bad fitting... Our new canopy has all the electrics wired up and fits perfectly with no leaks, they had even gave up a small pot of touch up paint, as they old canopy had left some damage on the paintwork... I can't recommend Truckman more highly, they were very professional and I would give them 10 star's if I could.
