Terrible experience. Booked a car that showed as available 10–15 minutes away. Walked there, tried to unlock it, and it wouldn’t open because the previous renter had taken the keys. Yet the car was still marked as “available” in the app.
Support just said the previous user would be fined — no solution, no compensation, nothing for the time I wasted. Completely unreliable service. Not recommended.
Worst car hire experience ever
Worst car hire experience ever. Hired a car and the the car was not starting the following day. I called the service center and they were not helpful at all. I had hired it the night before and drove a few kms to my place and next day it was not starting. I spoke to the manager as they had charged me the whole day but he was unable to do anything. I feel robbed as l could not even use the car. It has the worst customer service.

I was disappointed to find out upon arrival that a full driver’s license is required to rent a vehicle—something the phone representative failed to clearly communicate. This resulted in a wasted trip and unnecessary frustration. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

My bank card was hacked and subject to fraud through the Udrive application. Unfortunately then when I tried to delete my card details from the app they dont allow you to unless you deactivate and delete the whole application and account. Which I was happy to do but not allowing me to remove my card details myself is not right. They then send repeated emails, some threatening, demanding 22dirham to reactivate the account. Only when I called to tell them to stop they said they amount was for Salik. It was all very unclear and disconcerting and a disappointing experience.

Stay away from U-drive
Oh my god! This is the worst car rental I ever had. They provided me a totally scrap car which is causing grinding noise in my half way driving. Their admin charge for my parking fines are ridiculous. Stay away from the fraud. They allow only 100km per day but they don’t allow roll over. Totally waste of money.

Such a horrible service!! Avoid it at all costs! They charge you non stop small amounts every single week.

Beware of U-Drive Admin Charge
While hiring a van from U-Drive they received a fixed penalty notice with regards to my illegally parking the vehicle. I was subsequently found to be not guilty of the offence and the fine was cancelled. However U-Drive still proceeded to deduct £42 from my bank account for a so called admin charge. In my opinion where a customer has not been found to be at fault for an alleged offence U-Drive should as a gesture of goodwill cancel the admin charge altogether. Despite the vehicle being excellent an the handover team being efficient and polite I will not be using U-Drive again due to the above to the above charge imposed on me.

Very bad experience, they will never answer you I was waiting for more than 10 minutes on a call for nothing, they charge so much money for a cheap car that cost nothing outside, regarding the points, it says there 1AED=1Point however those point never ever helped they take them even away just like that big scammers

We rented a SUV for our road-trip through Canada and the US. It was our first trip with our newborn baby (6 months at the time).
We picked the car up in Winnipeg and headed towards North Dakota. Once we got there family pointed out that our tires had no profile what so ever. We contacted U Drive and were told to get the tires exchanged at the nearest tire shop (150 km from where we were). We had to change our travel schedule and stay an extra day to make the trip to the tire shop. This of course led to multiple hotel bookings changed and taking a day off our family vacation. We were promised compensation as this was occurring.
We spend the next week traveling and spending time together.
Upon arriving back in Winnipeg and taking our car back to the rental location the desk employee told us we would receive a $100 discount (more then we had to spend on gas to get the tires changed). After explaining the situation, you know; sending people off in an unsafe car!!!!!, we would get 20% off our rental. The employee told us that he is not able to comp the rental and needed the manager for that, who was not present at that time. He promised that we would be contacted as soon as he got back, as we had to catch our flight back home.
Upon arrival back home we noticed the full rental change on our card. And you guessed it… no response to our emails in this regard.
Please keep your family safe; do not rent cars that are not meeting safety measures!
Additional charges
I hired a van for a few hours and after returning I received an email with a photograph of a chip on a windscreen and a charge for damage. I requested a before photo showing the undamaged windscreen and after numerous messages had no reply. The pre hire images are sufficiently low res that nothing can be made out. The sum involved is not large (about 50% of the day rental amount) but I suspect that this might help boost revenue on rentals where the hirer hasn't subscribed to the comprehensive damage insurance.
Never again
Never again. First off, the car was dirty, and had less than a quarter of gas in it. It was the cheapest Kia on the market (I was told I’d be getting a Toyota Corolla) and it wasn’t washed. They told me to rent an SUV (which I found much nicer) would be 140.00 more PER DAY. I will never use this rental company again. Do yourself a favor — STAY AWAY.

Worst experience that we have ever had with a company. Needed a long term rental so checked into pricing before arriving in Portage la Prairie. Employee working at this time was excellent with all of our questions, once General Manager got involved everything turned into a he said/she said situation. Not to mention General Manager would avoid emails or pass them on to other employees. Really think he has an issue with women in authority. Hidden costs, when asked in the beginning if there where any other costs, avoidance when trying to get monthly bills (which did not consist of a proper break down or chargers) Overcharged and turn over of staff in the last two months of rental made it extremely hard to resolve issues. Current employee at the Portage la Prairie (Katelynn) was extremely rude!! Needs to really work on her Customer Service. Still waiting on proper invoices for 5 months of rental.
Beware of this company
Beware of this company. Accused me of smoking in the vehicle I hired. I am a non smoker.

Went to Poole udrive and what a terrible service, the manageress was rude and still after a lot of money I've not got my lease car and having to pay for hire???
All I can say is put the manager from Blandford (Tug) he nows how to look after his customers
