Helpful switch and clear terms
I signed up with this company on 3 May 2025 after reading their great 5-star reviews on Trustpilot.
Herbie and Hannah were very helpful and made the switch easy for me.
I like that the Terms and Conditions are clear and they offer fixed energy rates, which gives me peace of mind. Yes, their standing charge is the highest on the market, but I still went ahead as they offer proper customer support by email and over the phone—something I value a lot.
I haven’t had my first invoice yet, but I’m hoping everything will go smoothly.
I switched from Maxen Power. Avoid Maxen Power!

Direct contact
I spoke to two people who had personal email addresses and direct phone numbers and who were able to answer all my questions. This made a welcome change from anonymous call centres.

A dedicated account manager took care of the whole transfer process, kept me informed, and advised me when any issues cropped up. Overall, the service received has been excellent, and the process has been simple.

If only more utilities calls were like this!
Having dealt with multiple electricity companies throughout my career as a property manger it can often be the call you put off as you'll inevitably spend time on an automates system then hold and more likely than not have to explain everything to multiple people during the call. Not with Reece or Tom. I rang this morning having only heard about the company the day before, Reece was instantly knowledgeable of what I was talking about. He then arranged for Tom to give me a call and again he was really great and explained everything I needed to know even though I am some way off form being bale to move my meters - it didn't stop Tom being supportive and spending time discussing ti with me

Incredible Customer Service
From the very first phone call UGP's service has been absolutely fantastic! The fact that they are a direct supplier, local to our business and offer considerably competitive pricing for energy were the initial draws for us as a business.
However, the level of customer service provided knocked it out of the park for us. Prior to switching to UGP, we were in a complex and undesirable contract with our previous providers, who offered almost no support or advice.
UGP provided incredible advice and support throughout the process, and when our previous supplier chose to make things even more complex, Tom Menaldino and Sophie Walker at UGP stepped in for us and resolved the issue on our behalf. They both kept in close contact with us throughout the process, and in doing so have managed to save our company considerable costs and eliminated a huge administrative headache for us.
Cannot recommend UGP enough - very happy customers!

The personal service from a deadicated…
The personal service from a deadicated agent and extremly quick response time was brilliant. We were forced to move energy contract from another supplier with very little notice, but they were able to get us into a new within a couple of weeks.

We have received excellent service from…
We have received excellent service from UGP when we needed to find a new supplier. We have appreciated all the help given by our account manager Herbie which far exceeded our expectations. The sales co-ordinator Sophie has made everything go smoothly and setting up the portal was so easy. The promptness in which they all respond to any queries we have had bodes well for the future!

UGP offer very competitive fixed term renewal quotes with plenty of flexibility, have a user friendly
Portal and overall good customer service.
I wanted to give a special mention to our account manager Stephen Howell at the time who always went over and beyond on each tender.
Stephen is easy going but his exceptional service levels, expertise and reliability makes him a standout professional in the industry. Absolutely loved working with Steve.

Chris helped with additional sites moving onto the same end dates of existing supplies. very helpful and provided information when requested and helped discuss some of the challenges we were experiencing. Very knowledgeable and completive rates secured to help the Charity reduce spend on electricity across the whole estate.
