Upper Street Contractors is a London-based renovation company specialising in bathroom renovations, kitchen refurbishments, full property renovations, decorating, and property maintenance. Over the past 10+ years, we have grown organically through repeat clients, referrals, and recommendations from homeowners, landlords, and property managers across London. As our clients’ needs evolved, we expanded from smaller works into delivering fully managed renovation projects, building a reputation for reliability, quality, and professionalism. Today, we focus on medium to large-scale projects, providing a structured and well-managed service designed to remove the stress often associated with building work. Our clients value clear communication, accountability, and the ability to rely on one company to manage every aspect of their project. Unlike many contractors, we do not use subcontractors. All work is carried out by our directly employed in-house team, supported by our office staff covering materials procurement, finance, operations, and project coordination. This ensures consistent quality, better communication, and full control across every stage of the project. The company is run day-to-day by the owner, a civil engineer with over a decade of experience delivering projects of varying scale and complexity. Combined with over 100 years of team experience, this allows us to plan, manage, and deliver projects to a high professional standard. We begin with a free site visit and provide a detailed, itemised quotation with full cost transparency. Once a project is confirmed, we take care of everything — including procurement, scheduling, and managing all trades — through to completion and final handover. Alongside our renovation work, we also provide ongoing property maintenance services for our clients, covering plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs. Whether it’s a bathroom renovation, kitchen refurbishment, decorating project, or full property renovation, our aim is to deliver high-quality results with a smooth, organised, and stress-free experience from start to finish.

Upper Street Contractors are great
The wonderful Upper St Contractors do it again. This time the project was a small area of decking with a step down. We had some problems with the weather not cooperating but they kept me up to date with all the changes in plan and fitted the job in really quickly. The two operatives were (as ever) skilled and courteous and left the place very clean. I hadn't met these particular operatives before, and though English wasn't their first language, they were excellent communicators. They made design decisions very very carefully, discussing them with me at length and explaining options very clearly.
I am very pleased with my new decking area. Thank you Upper St Contractors

I would highly recommend Upper Street Contractors. The appointment making process was simple, pricing is transparent, tuned up on site when they said they would, did a quality job and invoiced a few days later. I will definitely be using again and recommending to others.

Would recommend
I have used this company before. They always explain what they are doing, answer queries, are polite, efficient and clean up well after themselves. The work was done to a high standard. On this occasion they came up with two alternative options to fix the causes of a serious leak, explained the pros and cons of both, and were helpful and transparent without putting pressure on us.

BATHROOM UNDER FLOOR, BATH PANELS AND PLUMBING
We were having a new luxury vinyl floor laid and an issue was identified with the underfloor. Upper street Handyman was recommended to us. I had several discussions with them around the logistics of the job as I had to come up to London in order to oversee the work etc. They were impressive from the start, always available on the telephone or in person, always willing to answer questions and always able to be flexible to meet my timescale and availability. In addition to fixing the joists and laying a new underfloor they made new panels for the bath and fitted them. I dealt with Noor, Abin, Ali and Micheal and without doubt they were some of the best trades people I have had in the flat over the past 5 years. They arrived on time well prepared and ready to get on with the work, they always tidied up after themselves and were polite and professional at all times. They were knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble, I found them to be a solutions based team who always went the extra mile to ensure everything was as it should be. We are delighted with the finished job and I would not hesitate to use them again. It is good to know I can contact a team who can work so effectively with any future issues we may have. Fantastic team - THANK YOU

Good experience with change of locks
As a result of a stolen handbag, we lost some keys to our front door along with our address, so there was a risk that the thief would enter our house. This necessitated a change to the locks on the front door. Upper Street Handyman visited promptly to assess the job and their staff persisted with chasing when delays occurred procuring a particular lock to replace the old one. Everyone on their team was helpful and kept us in touch throughout the process.
