After about what looks like 17 emails back and forth and this review here Urth's Support Manager has emailed me:
"Iâve just come across your recent Trustpilot review update and wanted to follow up directly, as Iâm a little confused"
While I wanted no more business with them he seemed earnest and wanting to set things straight so I promised to recheck my review and make sure it was factual. As it turns out I would actually like to update it:
I no longer think this is a scam.
Instead, I think that it's that they're simply so optimistic and naive about running a business that they may as well be running one - throw in equal parts youthful narcissism and brown-nosing AI* and the outcome for the customer the same.
(*they denied using it, then admitted to using it after the AI literally said it was an AI in an email)
It's bordering on the Fyre Festival of camera accessory brands.

Urth is a scam and it seems they have reached the point where they fabricate fake positive reviews as these latest reviews seems fake. I donât know why all these review compliment an employee at Urth. Like, u donât talk with Anybody before ordering a product, you do that after you have received a faulty product. When I ordered, I received a used product the fingerprints, a broken seal and a clearly used and dusty case for my lens adapter. The shipping time was very long. I payed for it like it was a new product. Never buy from here. Canât recommend.

Exceptional Service and Superior Quality from Urth!
Truly an exceptional company redefining what 'Great Customer Service' means. I placed an urgent order while traveling in Australia, concerned it might not arrive before my hotel checkout. Urth responded swiftly, going above and beyond to ensure prompt deliveryâI received it within just two days! The quality, packaging, and design of their products are equally outstanding. The 86mm ND & CPL filters perfectly fit my new Sony 28-70mm F2.0 lens, with no visible color casting and fantastic optical quality. The accessory kit also feels unique and high-quality. My only wish is that Urth would offer their amazing products to international customers like myself in New Zealand!

I received one of the most pleasant customer service experiences I had in a long time thanks to James and the rest of the Urth-Team. They are supportive, friendly and professional and always eager to help you out. No question or inquiry goes unnoticed. Additionally, the products are as described and well-secured within the parcel.

I had a slight concern regarding delivery times which to be fair was not within the control of Urth but Anna, at customer services was really helpful and restored any doubts that might have accrued about customer serice in general. She is superb.
Generous and Swift to Action
I worked with James from Urth's customer service. I had an Urth package stolen from my building. Although it wasn't Urth's fault but the carrier's/perpetrator(s), Urth still investigated my situation. The investigation took only 2 days before they decided to send me a replacement item at no cost. They also checked in to make sure I got my package safely and securely. The customer service provided was empathetic and generous, the problem solving was delibrately quick, and the actions taken were clear and concise. I felt taken care of every step of the way, thankful for their generosity when it would have been reasonable of them to not send a replacement. Thanks, Urth!
After getting the replacement item, I'm happy to say that I've been enjoying their magnetic filters!

I've now had several orders delivered from Urth.
Everything is impeccable, from shipping speed to beautiful packaging and the products themselves (similar to that Apple-product premium feel).
I recently had an issue where my CPL filter (that I had used for about 3 years) stopped rotating smoothly, reached out to them and they offered to replace it free of charge! I've just received the replacement and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them!

Ordered a lens with an order total of £95 including expedited shipping on the Monday 1am just gone, come Saturday my order still hasnât been dispatched, Royal mail was advised of it on Tuesday at 10pm. Saturday, still no parcel, hasnât been given to Royal Mail and the company just keeps apologising
False advertising
All photos and description on the UK Amazon listing for their Arkose Backpack show and describe a backpack and a camera insert bag. Nowhere on the listing does it state that the insert is sold separately, and the only buying options are 2 sizes: Long and US, which ship from different countries and have a different price, but otherwise feature the same images and product description, clearly indicating that these are the same, but sold from different regions.
When my backpack arrived without the insert bag, I raised this with the support team who could have owned up to the clear mistake on the company's part and helped me get what was expected.
Instead, they chose to dismiss me, stating that the pricing difference (with no other explanation) should have indicated 2 options, a standalone backpack and a set purchase and that I'm the only person confused by this.

Faulty products
Faulty products, donât work with the camera. Refund is an assault course, doing their very best to not sort the problem. Buy a different lens adapter.
Very bad customer care
I ordered several products with express delivery. After 6 business days, I contacted Urth's customer support because I did not receive anything. Urth instructed me to call the courier myself, which is not standard procedure in such instances. They were unable to provide a suitable solution. Now, 10 days later, I have received no news, no reimbursement, and none of the things I ordered and required urgently. If Urth was a viable business, Urth would have filed a claim against its delivery partner. Neglecting their consumers' experiences is a very stupid strategy, both short and long term. I believe Urth's customer support is ineffective and unhelpful in identifying ways to keep customers coming back.
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Repeated Lies and Incompetence
I have never before felt the need to write a negative review. I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Urth, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn potential customers about their appalling service.
I placed an order with Urth, paid for expedited delivery, and was initially assured that my order had been dispatched. However, despite multiple follow-ups over the course of several days, it became clear that their claims were false. I asked twice if the order had been dispatched, and each time I was told it had. This turned out to be a blatant lie.
After days of being given the runaround, I received an email admitting that the order had not been dispatched at all. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for the customer. The level of incompetence displayed by Urthâs support team is astonishing. They couldnât even keep track of whether my order had been sent or not.
Despite my requests to cancel the order and refund my payment, nothing was done. I was promised that the available items would be sent within 48 hours, but I received no confirmation or communication about this either. The lack of accountability and transparency is deeply disappointing.
I have lost all faith in Urthâs ability to fulfill orders and provide basic customer service. I had to raise a chargeback claim through my credit card provider just to get a response. The suggestion that I should now go through their returns process, (for an order I am yet to receive) which involves incurring further costs, is unacceptable. This is not how any business should treat its customers. Certainly not a B Corp, they should be stripped of the accolade.
Save yourself the headache and avoid Urth at all costs. Their service is unreliable, dishonest, and utterly unprofessional. I will not be ordering from them again and strongly advise others to steer clear.
I'm big fan of Urth/Gobe products
I'm big fan of Urth/Gobe products. I recently bought an EF to M43 adapter for my Panasonic g9 MK2. It was delayed a few weeks but I was happy to wait for it. They refunded monies for the inconvenience (which was amazing as no one does that). When it did arrive and I tested it sadly it didn't work. My fault for not reading the compatibility list. Returned it and received a refund within a few days. Customer service was super polite and really helpful. They really care about the customer. I will buy more from them in the future.
