We had one of our cars booked in for a service and mot. The service part was fine but they said that the mot had failed due to emmissions.
We were told that the cat converter had a split and needed to be changed at a cost of £3000 but we could pay in five monthly instalments too. There were also some advisories, like tyre tread and they had also found that the AdBlue pump had failed. This was covered under warranty.
We picked up our vehicle from the service centre and. I did some research. I took the vehicle to a local garage, who had agreed to look at the vehicle to see if could just be welded, saving some cost.
I received a call from the garage saying their technician could not find any evidence of damage to the cat converter.
I then contacted another independent garage, which was local. they to confirmed there is no damage to the cat converter.
I arranged for another mot, it passed and as we had replaced two tyres, there was no advisories.
I asked my partner to book her car in to get the AdBlue pump changed. She spoke to Vertu and they said that they would not be able to do the pump until they could change the cat converter.
I then phoned up and had the worked booked in for 26/06/26.
We took the vehicle in and there was some confusion about fitting the pump. We got that resolved. We were asked about the cat converter as the mot would still fail. I informed them that I had an mot and that I would now like to speak to their manager.
I explained that I was not happy in the service we had received by them telling us that the cat had failed and would need to be replaced. The manager explained that he would need a couple of days to investigate.
Its now the 13th July. I have two vehicles currently from this dealer and this is my eighth. I have never had a problem in the past.
For not to receive any communication from them is appalling

I don’t understand how your team could say my issues were resolved as I had only complained to the service manager on the 26/06/26.
I had not received any correspondence from him. It states in your own complaints policy, 14 days to respond.

I purchased a used van, a very new one to note (2023) plate, with just over 40,000 miles on the clock, at a value of £10,590 plus vat, I dealt with Mark Kelley who came across as very genuine but I believe that’s not the case, he told me the van was absolutely fantastic, no advisories, squeaky clean, etc etc, all the usual commercial salesman garbage. The van got delivered late afternoon on the 8th July, I first went out to do a job the next day and that was when I knew I had been sold ‘a van with issues’ right from there dealership, from low tyre pressure to engine faults, to additional dents undisclosed, no floor mats, no valet. I am now passing this matter over to my lawyers because the dealership won’t accept my rejection of the vehicle that they just delivered that has gone badly wrong almost straight away, and they won’t accept my rights to reject. I just wish I bought from somewhere else, I went to Vertu Worcester because I thought I was dealing with a genuine company. I’m leaving this review m for one purpose, to tell the truth, not to tarnish the dealership, I’m just being honest. Dominic Dunkley
Update: (10/07/2026)
The vehicle was delivered with engine faults (x2) plus tyre pressure faults, additional dents not mentioned. This will be passed over to the lawyers. The van is completely un-driveable, stuck in limp mode and not fit for purpose, it was delivered in unsatisfactory condition and you know it. I would like to add, it was not a case of issues arising maybe a week or two weeks down the line or even months, these issues were present on delivery of the van and occurred on my first drive to a job, engine fault!! Repair Needed!! What person in there right mind, would think that's acceptable? For a vehicle costing almost £14,000, the fact that your dealership has rejected my rejection of the vehicle which i am within my rights to do, under the sale of goods act 1979, conditions as follows... Unsatisfactory condition and unfit for purpose, the van is both of these and this was all in less than 24 hours of delivery, I have had to cancel and make arrangements for many jobs and my business is already losing income, I have many jobs coming in that i need to attend and cannot because of your dealership supplying faulty vans, this is a true account of my experience.

She is knowledgable, friendly, efficient and clearly passionate about what she does - nothing was too much trouble. After a test drive we went home and had a think about it, but the decision was made quickly and we soon had proceedings in place. There was a slight delay in the car’s arrival but Charlotte kept me informed at each step, and always replied to emails promptly and clearly. Pick up went really well, again Charlotte’s expertise was clear as she took me round the car’s features again, and I was delighted as I drove away. Should there be any teething problems I am confident I’ll get the help I need and I couldn’t recommend Vertu Worcester more highly.

The same transaction took three days from start to vehicle collection, including a trade-in of an existing vehicle. Excellent & Simple.
I would also highly recommend the Citroen Dispatch, the Price is outstanding, the specification fabulous and it drives just like a car. All of this for £13,000 less than a Ford transit why would you even look elsewhere?
