BE CAUTIOUS
BE CAUTIOUS - Had my vehicle serviced on the 02/07/26, after the health check it was highlighted that a ball joint needed replacing due to a crack and the air conditioning was not in working condition. I gave the go ahead for the work to be completed and for a service to be carried out on the air conditioning. When arriving to collect my vehicle I was told that although the air conditioning service has been completed the air conditioning is still not working as there is a crack in one of the pipes which would cost an extra £260 on top of the £160 for the air conditioning service. I did not ask for this work to be completed thankfully and then got a second opinion from my local garage, who have confirmed no pipe needed replacing and it just needed re-gassing (which was suppose to be done as part of the service with nissan). I didn't get any invoice for any of this work until weeks after it was complete by nissan either. Complaints already been raised but no one has been in touch about it. It seems like not only have i been charged for work they didn't actually carry out but they also suggested extra work to be carried out that was not necessary. Each person I have spoke to about this has been defensive/dismissive. First and last time using this place for any service.

PERFECT from start to finish
We were asked what we were looking for and Jake found us the car, sadly it was in the one colour we said we didn’t want. Jake took us on a test drive and shared his knowledge of the vehicle. On our return he went to search what we thought was going to be a database but the next minute he shows us the PERFECT car in the best colour. Along the way Jake was understanding of my situation and supported me through the difficulties I faced, keeping me informed each step of the way.

Not the best experience
The only good thing I can say about the experience, is that I got a good deal with Vertu through CarWow. The handover of the brand new Qashqai didn't go smoothly and badly spoiled what should have been a nice day. After the kind offer of a full tank of fuel in the car, whilst we went with the salesman to fill up, a amber E-power system warning light came on. Returning to the dealership for the service dept to look at the fault, was told they had not seen this warning and yet a simple Google search shows it's not that uncommon in Nissan models. So they rebooted the engine management system and sent us away, the following 2 days back at home it reappeared. After contacting the dealership I was told to book it into a local Nissan dealership which I did. Dropped the car off there to be told there was a factory recall on the car and that Vertu Darlington should have done this before the sale of the car. I don't doubt that they will come up with some reply to my review, but this is my honest review of my experience. I must add that Bradley the salesman I dealt with during purchasing the car was brilliant.

Vertu Darlington, Paul Bilton
Paul Bilton was friendly and helpful, as were all the staff. Paul helped find a car that met our requirements. He answered all our questions clearly and set out the financial arrangements that we agreed to. He was helpfully flexible in arranging the pick up and transfer etc.
We are very happy with the car and the service from Paul and would be more than happy to deal with Paul on our next change of car.

I recently got my new car from Nissan Darlington. The process was so smooth & Bradley was so helpful. He didn’t leave much for me to do as he sorted everything out for me. The communication was 10/10 & I’m very happy with my new car! Would highly recommend

I agreed to pick the car up on Saturday 16th may the sales man rang Friday night about 5.40 to say it would not be ready so we agreed Monday i arrived at 9 am only to find it still wasn't ready.

Went to Nissan Darlington for a booked MOT on my old car,whilst I was there I thought I would have a quick look at the cars had no intention of buying a new one🙈but got talking to Paul and with the help of the manager I am now driving the car of my dreams absolutely love it 🥰 great price,service,staff and customer service 5star.
