At Blugate Software Technologies, we recently had the opportunity to provide internship experiences to aspiring professionals—and it has been both rewarding and insightful.

One internship has now successfully concluded, and another is currently in progress. Reflecting on this initiative, we’re pleased with how the program has allowed us to give back to the professional community while also gaining fresh perspectives from young, motivated individuals.

I never thought I'd be one of those that give bad reviews online but i am really offended!
first off how did you make me go through an awfully long process of filling out an application, literally spent hours on video intro only to be told i am to pay a sudden fee! Application fee magically appeared on my dashboard....
A fee that was never mentioned, isn't that deceit? Worst still its nothing close to affordable, an internship position I will probably not be paid for and i am expected to pay over 1400dols?
Make it make sense please?
for what is worth, this is deceit in the highest level and they need to do better.
Also it is more honorable to tell people what they are getting themselves into...

Please don't waste your time and precious money with them. For the amount of money YOU as a payee have to GIVE to them to basically act as a internship agent trying to find you a company, the return on investment was absolutely abhorrent. I've only given 2 stars for their timely responses from the intern support team and the amazing internship coaches, who had useful wisdom to impart. But apart from that, this company is really not worth it. Most of the host companies are smaller start-ups, and it took an incredibly long time to find me a decent company that fitted my intern profile. The one I did end up with, had its management in shambles who were considering shutting the company down. I had little to no projects at all, and a lot of unnecessary daily team briefings because the company kept on stalling its own projects. At the end of my internship, I felt like I didn't gain much at all in terms of upskilling myself. All the big flashy words they've used on their website to reel you in are just that, words. An incredibly disappointing experience.

You spend more than 30’ making your profile with video presentations and everything all to be informed in the next step that you need to pay around 1500 dollars in order to start scheduling interviews, and in addition to that before the final step they ask you to evaluate the experience before they tell you that you have to pay !
I wouldn’t risk it when I don’t know the company I will be placed if it will offer me valuable experience and if I will find an internship that fits my needs

**The Onboarding Maze:** My initial interaction with Virtual Internships was far from smooth. Scheduling a meeting proved difficult, and the lack of video communication from the first contact felt unprofessional. The overall process lacked polish, with an odd focus on quantity over quality – evident in their "weird backgrounds" and a sense of being just another number on their platform boasting an inflated number of companies (19,000!).

**Looking for Fit, Not Just Numbers:** As a small travel design consultancy, I was surprised by their rejection. My specific needs weren't a priority, suggesting their focus lies in filling quotas rather than fostering an ideal fit between interns and companies. Both interns and companies need a personalized approach to find the right match.

**Free Isn't Always Best:** The allure of "free interns" can be misleading. Just like "free" website design often comes with hidden costs and limitations, a lack of investment in the matching process might lead to incompatible placements with little chance of success.

**Do Your Research, Consider Alternatives:** For both companies seeking interns and aspiring professionals looking for placements, Virtual Internships might not be the best option. It's crucial to carefully research any internship platform, paying close attention to details like the matching process, communication style, and focus on quality over quantity. Consider exploring other avenues that prioritize fit and offer a more professional experience.

**Remember:** There's no shortcut to a successful internship. Invest the time to find the right match, and don't be swayed solely by the promise of "free."

I thought it is only for 300 dollars for indiviuals but it is exactly 1495 dollar. it is robbery, they never tell you untill last point. If you are an indiviual then it is scum site for you. Without partner dont open it.

I've enjoyed the experience. It was great to pick up additional skills and have opportunity to work on projects.

Virtual internship gave me the opportunity to gain the experience I needed in the IT field. Their services are very robust and they provide all the resources and advice needed to excel during internship. I highly recommend them.

Enjoyed my experience very much and would recommend! Was able to learn more about biotechnology and pharmacogenomics with exerts in the field in 6 weeks. Able to expand my network, learn more about my career prospects and learn a lot more transferable skills especially when working with international hosts. The application process was simple, had regular communication with my supervisor daily and send weekly reflections on the program. Would highly recommend!

What made experience great was the extreme support the Virtual Internship support gave me during my internship.
The company is doing well in the area of ensuring that all students get their placement as soon as possible, and ensure they are comfortable with the company they are peered with.
