Fantastic experience both with game play / use and the logistics of hire!
Graham was super helpful and had lots of clear instructions included, so that even I could set up and use these. He had a seamless delivery/return system, and the boxes were clearly labelled for item placement, meaning it was impossible to overlook anything.
The game range was also appreciated - Everyone had different favourites, but had lots to do.

Hiring the VR gear was very easy with good communication. Comprehensive, easy to follow instructions to setup the headset. A large range of games to enjoy. I loved the experience.

I found out about Virtual Reality Rental (VRR) through work where we rented a couple of sets to give employees exposure to VR as part of our strategy. This review is about my subsequent personal rental. Firstly, Graham was very responsive (less than 2 hours) to my online enquiry in the weekend which was great. I had a couple of subsequent question via email which were also answered promptly. After I arranged the rental (Oculus Quest 2) and set the transaction up, the item shipped and arrived when exactly it was supposed to. Upon opening everything was there to get going - no calls to VRR were needed.
My 10 year old son was hovering over my shoulder as I set it up - he had already gone online and figured it all out so was more than happy to direct me :-)
It was easy even for my relatively unskilled person to get it going. There were plenty of games on the system for the family to use - I rented this for the last week of school holidays and that was a great idea - it was also great for discipline as all I had to do was say - I'll pack it up and ship it back early and my 10 yr-old boy stepped back into line!
Games were fun - played a few myself, graphics very realistic and some situations felt very real - "Richies' Plank Experience" almost gave me vertigo.
Graham sent me an email during the rental to see how it was going - much appreciated.
Packing up and shipping back was also easy.
Overall a very good experience and one I will do again in a while as a treat for the kids. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended, We hired the Quest 2, the equipment is well maintained and easy to use. The package is well thought out with an easy to use guide to make getting started easy.

Would definitely hire again!, Great to do business with, Graham was helpful, replied to emails quickly, offered great advice. VR arrived on time, was easy to setup, repackage and return.

Ps: repackaging is easier if you take a photo of how neatly its packaged before ravaging the box of its contents. :)

Fabulous email communication and clear instructions at all stages of the rental. We had so much fun with the Valve Index and Half Life Alyx was just bloody incredible. The kids also had fun in the Lab. The whole experience was brilliant. Thanks!

VR Rentals are the best. Graham is amazing, so knowledgeable and willing to help. Gear was immaculate, tidy and clean. Id highly recommend for a kids Birthday or just for some fun over the weekend.

The Oculus Quest 2 was in perfect condition. Service was amazing and questions were answered immediately. Great experience would definitely hire again.

Hired some Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets for a kids birthday party in Kapiti. They loved it. We originally planned to go to a place in Porirua, but they are not operating in Level 2 and we would have been limited to half an hour if they were.

Having these at home for a few days meant they got much much much longer. Parents may have had a go too!

Postage easy and instructions and communication all outstanding. Will probably hire again for this year’s work function.

Also good to see the kids moving when using devices rather than the usual sitting around hunched over a tablet.

Why can't we give more than 5 stars? VRR was great to deal with. The Oculus Quest 2 was in perfect condition and the service was second to none. Everything from the information provided via email to the written instructions with the unit were professional, timely and user friendly.

It was a pleasure dealing with Graham. Communication and support was excellent.
The VR items were securely stored and presented in a box with very clear instructions on how to use it.
There was a wide range of games to play on the system.

Great price, great service - very well organised, came with everything we needed and lots of extras too - outstanding communication, couldn't have asked for better. Highly recommend - thanks VRR!!

Great equipment in perfect condition. Awesome customer service. I had no idea how VR worked, so I had a few questions. My emails were replied to in minutes with all the answers I required. Thanks heaps. Had the most fun.

Emailed in regards to hiring the Valve Index, plus a computer to play it on. Graham replied instantly at 9pm, explained what I would need to hire, told me what games comes with it and sorted everything on the night. I tried to get it for the weekend but unfortunately I messaged too late but was lucky enough to be given an extra day free of charge.

Overall it was a very good experience and I throughly enjoyed using VR. I would definitely hire again, and was such a good way to pass time during lockdown.
