Very comprehensive auctions with a huge range of independent and distillery bottled whiskies each month. The purchase process is straightforward, with the chance to set an auto-bid at your price limit and the bottle condition descriptions are very accurate. Bottles always ready for collection within a couple of days of payment being made, and the guys & girls running the business are always pleasant, friendly and helpful should you have any questions.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are looking to sell whisky. Initially I was very apprehensive about selling bottles ofiwhisky which we had particularly after reading online of bad experiences with a number of different companies. After contacting Wayne on the phone and going through the procedure they operate it reassured me and subsequently I auctioned 6 bottles of whisky through the auction and was impressed with the smoothness and professionalism of the entire process and the promptness of payment. Everything was explained to me and the various options in selling whisky and the knowledge that Wayne and his son Harrison have is incredible.

Couldn’t recommend these guys anymore, absolute 100% genuine, did exactly as they said, well pleased with the results,so if you are thinking of auctioning off whiskey, wines, spirits these are the ones to take them to if possible

Having never sold anything through auction before I was a little hesitant about putting up some of my whisky collection before contacting WOA. Concerns were quickly dispelled as from start to finish the support, advice and guidance from Paul and Debbie was first class. I was also impressed with the packaging and collection service and particularly with the ease of tracking the lot and auction progress via the app. Communication along the way was excellent and was capped off by speedy and efficient pay out as promised. Overall a perfect seller experience.

Got one of my dad’s bottles auctioned. I had no idea what it was worth. Harrison has been really helpful giving it a valuation and it sold through their auctions for £1.100 - very pleased with the service from the beginning to the end. Team super knowledgeable.

As a first time seller I found the system straightforward and easy to understand. My items were collected on schedule and safely delivered to the Auctioneers.
Once the auction was underway I found it relatively easy to follow and see how my items were doing. After quite a slow start the bids started to roll in and it was quite interesting to follow. My rare bottle finally achieved 50% more than the estimate with the rest of my items all selling. Payment was made as scheduled and I would recommend Whisky Auctions to anyone.

Having never sold a cask of 17 yo whisky before, I looked for a recommendation from someone who knew what they were doing. Jonathan Dyas of AJD Antiques referred me to Wayne. A great referral, as it turned out.
There was paperwork! It was straight forward, but any questions were answered via phone & email in a very timely fashion. I felt that personal information, bank details etc, were dealt with in a comfortingly secure way.
Wayne talked me through the benefits of tasting notes, reserve pricing and what to do if the auction price was unsatisfactory.
The cask went to auction on Christmas Day. It lingered! However, once again, I had been educated as to the dynamics of an auction such as this. The cask sold for considerably more than I expected, but was within 5% of Wayne’s upper estimate.
Subsequent paperwork, transfer docs etc., were all dealt with expeditiously and the auction proceeds deposited soon thereafter.

I contacted whisky online Auction around 5 months ago giving them details of the bottle of whiskey I wanted to sell, they put an estimate of £900-£1100 on it and recommended for me to put a reserve of 10% below their estimate and that is what I did, not only it did not sell that time a further twice it did not sell, I contacted them again and this time they reduced the estimate price at half what they had told me initially and giving me some story about the fact prices have come down!! Not sure if I believed what they were telling me and really think this must be a practice to collect more money from the clients who are told their items are more valuable than they are so they can put it up more than once so they collect more fees. They finally sold my item and after fees I got £298 less than 1/3 of the original estimate.

From start to finish the process was made so easily, all i had do was box up my btls they got picked up by DHL and shipped, has a great experience watching the auction and the valuations i was given were nearly spot on.
