The ordering was easy - but have yet to drink the wine
The ordering was easy. The delivery was on time and done splendidly. I am likely to return.
As to the wine, I have no idea - yet. It was a gift and it is sitting in a wine cooler fridge 80 miles from here and yet to be drunk. But it reads well on the web page. And it was nice to be able to find Primitivo, which I and the recipient of the gift have shared before (albeit not the same brand) and enjoyed.

Delivery just took too long
Delivery just took too long.
From ordering to delivery took 10 days - longer than I was led to believe, and longer than I would reasonably expect. Also, using DPD, one of the worst delivery companies, takes the gloss off the whole experience. On this occasion, I got two grunts from their driver.

Service good, but more notice required with delivery.
Nothing wrong with service, but would be better if the delivery company, dpd, would give more notice when the delivery has to be received in person.

Order mistake
I ordered four bottles of pipers river Dalrymple Pinot noir ( which I had tasted at a Matt Jujes tasting) however I was sent four bottles of Dalrymple vineyards Pinot noir ( which uses grapes from a mix of vineyards) the web site clearly advertises it pipers river Pinot noir

New Owners are a class act!
Having had a particularly poor history with is companies previous owners I had little if any expectations of the new owners. Having been vociferous in my condemnation on this site, it is only appropriate to now I have had a magnificent redemptive experience to share this with the site. Sourcing and replicating my previously unmet purchases I have had my faith restored in this company and will happily return to them due to the huge effort they have made in good faith to exceed my expectations and more than adequately replace my previous order at no cost to myself. My faith in human nature as well as this company has been restored. Congratulations you have earned a 5 star recommendation.

Good selection, slow delivery
Placed the order on a Tuesday, assuming it would come before, or on the weekend, but was then told it would arrive on the Monday. Nearly eight days for two bottles of wine to arrive… shoddy operations not fit for the modern consumer world.

We are very saddened to see such a negative review. We are also quite shocked about the rude language used in your email sent to us, so this review is not surprising.
As a small family run business, we keep all our wines in bonded warehouses across the country. Once an order comes through, we bring the required wines out of bond to pack and dispatch. This process takes 3-5 business days and is clearly explained on our website as well as in order confirmation.
Your order was placed late evening 8th April 2025. It was packed earlier today (11th April) for delivery on Monday, which is in line with our advertised delivery terms.
