Damaged Worktop on Delivery â Refused to Take Responsibility and No Resolution Offered
I would strongly advise others not to buy from this company based on my experience.
I will let readers judge for themselves, but the companyâs response below does not accurately reflect my experience!
The worktop we ordered was scratched, chipped and damaged when it was unpacked, before installation began. The damaged sections were identified immediately and were unusable, meaning they had to be discarded. The remaining undamaged sections were then used to complete the installation.
The companyâs response is inaccurate and does not reflect what actually happened. Your response continues to rely on your interpretation of events rather than addressing the core issue: that a brand-new worktop arrived damaged. It also omits the poor level of customer service experienced throughout. During our telephone conversation I was repeatedly talked over and not given a fair opportunity to explain the situation. I even explained that this was our first order and that we had further business planned with your company, yet there was no willingness to find a reasonable resolution or retain a customer. Instead, every response has felt defensive and focused on rejecting the complaint rather than resolving it. I will leave it to other customers to decide whether that reflects the level of service they would expect.
To suggest the damage only became apparent after installation is simply incorrect. Had the entire worktop been unusable, the installation would not have proceeded at all.
Rather than investigating the issue or offering a fair resolution, the company chose to rely solely on its terms and conditions while dismissing genuine concerns. I also found the customer service to be rude, dismissive and lacking even the most basic willingness to help.
Based on both the product quality and the handling of this complaint, I would STRONGLY recommend NOT TO USE this company.
The companyâs response is false/inaccurate, so please ignore as this staff member also spoke to me on the phone and she is lacking even the basic customer service skills! The worktop was already scratched and damaged when unpacked, before installation, and unusable.
Their claim that damage was found after fitting is incorrect. The product arrived in unacceptable condition.
Customer service was also poorârude, dismissive, and unwilling to help.
Iâm very dissatisfied and would advise others to be very cautious.
Our brand-new worktop had visible scratches, chips and damage. This is completely unacceptable for a new product and falls well below the standard you would expect.
To make matters worse, when I contacted customer services, the female representative was rude, unhelpful and showed very little interest in resolving the issue. Rather than taking responsibility, the response was simply that the worktop had been installed and was therefore considered accepted, despite the defects being genuine and clearly visible.
The damaged sections had to be discarded and could not even be used during installation, leaving us out of pocket.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience with both the product quality and the level of customer service provided.
Do NOT purchase from this company.

We are sorry that you remain dissatisfied, but we feel it is important to clarify the facts for anyone reading this review.
At no point have we stated that the damage was discovered after installation. Our position has always been that the worktops had already been cut, altered and fitted before the issue was formally reported to us. As explained during our correspondence, once a worktop has been modified, it is considered accepted under our terms and conditions and we are unable to offer a replacement, as neither we nor the manufacturer can inspect it in its original condition.
In your latest review, you state that the damaged sections were identified immediately upon unpacking and discarded, while the remaining sections were used to complete the installation. If the damage was known before installation, the correct course of action would have been to stop fitting the worktop and contact us before any cutting or installation took place. Continuing with the installation meant we were no longer able to investigate the issue or arrange an exchange.
We also note that the damage was first reported to us several days after delivery, rather than within the inspection period requested in our terms and conditions. These procedures are in place so that any transit or manufacturing issues can be investigated promptly and resolved fairly.
We appreciate that this has been frustrating for you, and we are sorry that you were unhappy with your interaction with our customer service team. However, we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that we dismissed your concerns. We reviewed the information provided, discussed the matter with you by telephone and email, and explained the options available based on the circumstances and our published policy.
While we appreciate that we have been unable to reach the outcome you were hoping for, we believe we acted consistently and fairly in line with our terms and the information available to us.

Avoid the composites
The composite laminate is a terrible product - it isnât durable at all - you can chip without even noticing. It is also very difficult to clean because it stains.

Weâre sorry to hear that youâre unhappy with your purchase and experience, and we do take feedback seriously. However, we feel itâs important to clarify a few points for anyone reading this review.
Compact laminate is a solid and durable material, but like any worktop it can be damaged by impact. The chipping shown appears consistent with something being dropped onto the surface. We sought advice from the manufacturer and shared their guidance, including repair advice. A colour difference within a chip is normal and relates to the materialâs layered manufacturing process.
Compact laminate is described as low maintenance, not maintenance-free. Lighter finishes in particular may require suitable cleaning products to remove surface residue, which is standard across many premium worktop materials.
The worktop was supplied and installed in August last year and has been in use for several months. Unfortunately, weâre unable to replace or refund a product due to preference or wear.
