we have unusually sized doors but the website allowed us to filter by size.
Even over Christmas, the doors were available in 2 working days and collection was a doddle.

Helped us to the van with the door, provided advice for varnishing and glazing.

After an extensive web search to find a firm making internal 4 panel oak doors at a reasonable price - as opposed to London firms whose prices were eye-wateringly high - I came across Kershaws in Yorkshire.

They have friendly and helpful sales staff who responded quickly to e-mails and phone calls. The bespoke doors I ordered for my 3 bedrooms and a bathroom were well packed apart from a slight tear in the packaging of one of them; were the correct dimensions and look excellent after being varnished with Sadolin. The professional carpenter who is now hanging and "dressing" them is impressed.

However they lost a star because they failed to meet the original delivery date -the doors never left the depot - despite having 3 months notice. The delivery costs are cheap and to Kershaws credit they have refunded the delivery costs but they need to address this end of the product chain as it undermines the credibility and competence of a business if they cannot deliver on an agreed date.

Still overall a very good experience and I wish them a prosperous 2015.

I used Kershaws doors last year and this year, and both times the doors and the door furniture were brilliant. They delivered on time and the quality was great.
The customer service I received was perfect, especially from Ian who really helped me get the right items with some good advice.
I was very happy with everything and have already recommended them to friends and colleagues.

Kershaws Doors provided a made-to-measure door at significantly less than it would have cost to get one made by a local joiner. They were easy to deal with, offered advice over the phone about measurements and the ordering process was very simple. The product arrived earlier than expected, is well-finished, of good quality and looks great. An excellent service.

Rob was great, he found a hardwood weather bar, which came as expected, two days later.

Kershaws had the door I was looking for, and Ian and his colleagues could not have been more helpful in both changing their schedule to make it available for me, and helping me to collect it at very short notice. Excellent service!

We took a chance and ordered our doors online having no previous dealings with Kershaw Doors, received invoice, rang them to discuss delivery, very courteous, the doors arrived as arranged and in perfect condition. Very pleased with our doors and the overall service, would definitely recommend to family and friends and will have no hesitation ordering from them again. Thank you.

However - they can take ages to deliver on bespoke doors. ordered 2 doors in August and they were delivered in December! However - worth the wait

I have tried to obtain a price for a custom-made door from Kershaw doors now for over three weeks (I first contacted them on 14 November and have followed up with numerous phone calls and emails). I have always been told that they are very busy and I'll get the quote the following week. I wait for the following week to pass - only to receive nothing back and to chase up again.

I obviously can't comment on the quality of their doors, but the customer service I have received from their quotation team has been extremely lacklustre and disappointing.

Impressed with the quality and range if doors available from the company. However be aware that getting your door is another matter.

Although led to believe doors are generally in stock, the one we ordered was out of stock and we had to wait a week for it to be despatched. Kershaws told us it had gone to the courier company on a Friday and we could expect deliver no later than the following Wednesday. Courier had other ideas. Call over the weekend to say they expected to deliver the following Friday. Claimed no knowledge of getting the door to us in less than a week. Friday came with a phone call that the van had broken down and eventually it arrived on Saturday.

So if planning to use the company , either collect yourself (not an option for us) or be prepared to be pessimistic about the delivery date.

Service as it said on the tin, doors appear good quality.
Your warranty seems to be written like a get out clause and is of concern as to the durability of the doors.
Only time will tell!!

Very good pair of doors at a reasonable price; pity they have to come from the far east; but hey Ho that's life in 2014.

We went to the site and the people there were helpful offering advice and easily understood explanations of the choices. They were patient explaining the preparation needed and found us the furniture accessories we really wanted. They saved us a fair amount of money by their impartial advice and expertise. When we collected the door they offered us to contact them at any time for advice over paints stains etc.
It was a great service offered in a really friendly manner.
Recommend them without reservations.

This is my second order from this company and both have been prompt and of good quality.

Been wanting to change all the doors in our bungalow for some time but wasn't sure what to do and getting different advice from people then I found Kershaws website. That was just three weeks ago. Now I have eight new doors which were ready to hang, handles to match which came on sale at half the price I would have paid locally and good strong hinges to match. I spoke to Rick, think his name is Richard who told me exactly what I needed. Everything was delivered in good order, some before the promised time. The carpenter who has done the fitting is so impressed he is now visiting Kershaws' website. Thank you to all at Kershaws for making an old man very happy.

Could not fault Kershaws Doors. Their website is excellent and the staff are very helpful and polite.

The delivery service was excellent and delivered on the day and time they said. Kershaws never quibble about exchanging goods should the need arise.

I would have no hesitation but to recommend Kershaws Doors to my friends and family.

The people I spoke to at Kershaws on ordering the door and after couldn't have been more helpful.
But to pay for delivery and to have no flexibility at all is bad service. Only deliver when it suits them not customer. Couldnt/wouldnt give time of delivery only the next day. Saturday delivery only for a mere £100 more!!! Woman on switch board was bordering on rude. As they couldn't come up with a delivery time that suited me the customer, I decided to have the door delivered to my place of work. This was organised by Kershaws with the delivery company and an e mail confirmation was sent back.
Guess what? The door was delivered to my house anyway the next day when I specifically told them not to, and that request was to the delivery company directly and to Kershaws. By sheer fluke I was late leaving for work that day so I happened to be in. Lucky.
In conclusion, Kershaws great but delivery company not great. Kershaws switch to another delivery company please. One that delivers when the paying customer wants. Most people work during the day and cannot afford to take a day off.
