I was at first hesitant about joining a summer internship program with people i’ve never met before. I thought that the first couple of days would be awkward and would be lonely. But from the second I met my program colleagues at the airport is when I felt relaxed, at that moment I knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience.

Overall, I am very satisfied with everything that this program offered: the residence housing, the internship opportunity, the friends we met along the way, the front desk people at the residence, our program coordinators, and the “prison” food that we always miss when we’re away in the weekends.

I have achieved so much in a span of two months, even though the company I was working for was a startup under construction, I was working under full autonomy and on my own pace. I managed to create flyers from scratch that have now been printed and shared around the most important hotels in the city center! I also enjoyed learning the different cultures in the program and Spanish culture as a whole!

From its culture, its food, the structure, the people I worked with and even the people who live in Madrid, everything was amazing. It was a unique experience. I felt like I was at home. And to think that centuries ago, when the war between the United States and Spain took place, Puerto Rico became part of the United States, but we were almost going to be part of Spain, imagine that. I would definitely go back without thinking twice, especially with the Absolute Internship company, because they give you all the resources and I’m grateful for that.

I went on an internship to Stockholm with Absolute Internships, it was one of the best decisions I have done. I cannot wait to intern with them again next summer. The application process was easy and simple, they follow you every step of the way to make sure that everything is clear. If you have any questions, the team are available to help in regards to the process of application but also on site. I had a great experience, made friends from all over the world and experienced office culture in another country. I cannot thank the team enough, I hope everyone has the chance to intern abroad, it is great.

I truly enjoyed my remote internship to a great extent. This experience is one that I fully recommend. I learned a lot while in the internship, soft and hard skills that I will forever use. Plus, having the internship remotely gave me the opportunity to manage my work and time as I pleased while of course giving me the responsibility of the work.

The experience of working in a professional environment helped me develop my skills and learn about new processes that I was unaware of.

This was one of the happiest months of my life. While interning in Barcelona I met my best friends, gained international experience, had the adventures of a lifetime, and received a full-time job offer after returning back to the states. My experience abroad made me a unique job applicant and therefore a more competitive candidate. Absolute Internship was the experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a main character moment.

The program is a really great way to gain international working experience, while living in a new country and meeting new people from every part of the world.
I had a really great time in these two months.

Scam!! I got accepted into their Program in Hong Kong. They couldn't arrange any papers for the visa and forced all accepted students to make it on their own and that they will arrange the visas once there. I couldn't end up going because I didn't have a visa. They refused to refund me knowing they lied about arranging the visa and simply ignored my email. Thiefs! Imagine paying up to 5000$ for them to steal the money.

This program is a great way to get some international work experience, meet new people from both America and your host country, and make lifelong friends.
This program included a great place to stay in the center of Barcelona. I could reach any part of the city within 15-20 minutes from the train station across the street. It was easy to get to and from work as well.
My advice for people applying for this program is to take your time to find the right internship because this is the main point of the trip. Make sure that you enjoy what you do and have great coworkers!
In my internship, the interns in the company would go out to dinner nearly every night together and after the program ended, we still stay in constant communication because the company was such a great fit for all of us.

With the uncertainty of COVID, I could have never imagined traveling around the world to Barcelona, Spain. But, despite the constant changes in rules and regulations, I was able to travel to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I will be eternally grateful for being able to partake in the incredible experience of interning in Barcelona while also being safe during the 8 wonderful weeks I was there. It was the perfect combination of professional experience in an engineering company and adventures through Spain with amazing people I met through Absolute. The company I was placed in was so kind and helpful; they made sure I had all the tools I needed to succeed and provided an opportunity for me to go beyond a classroom setting-utilizing everything I had learned for the past 4 years in college. While I was only an intern, I was trusted to work on two big projects-hands on experience with a robot-and actually be a part of the team! Working abroad also allowed me an experience not many people have in their professional careers; I truly believe this is extremely beneficial in exposing yourself to different ways the world works and allows you to learn how to adapt to your surroundings. Along with this boost in experience and another thing to add to my resume, I met many amazing individuals: those also interning abroad, members of the Absolute team, and local residents of Spain. I was able to see astonishing sights like Park Güell and Montjuïc Castle; traveling outside of Barcelona on weekend trips to other parts of Spain (organized by Absolute); experience daily beach trips, delicious food, and cross off my top bucket list item-swim with sharks. None of this would have been possible without the support of Absolute Internship; their guidance allowed me to live my dream and I am so happy I decided to embark on this journey!

My time in Barcelona was a truly life-changing experience and a dream-come-true-event. In these unique and uncertain times, I consider myself fortunate and privileged to have had the opportunity to intern abroad, and the Absolute Internship Barcelona Programme was the ideal match (an excellent decision!). I’ve had the opportunity to obtain work experience and grow as a result of it. I’ve never been confident in my social skills, and this experience has unlocked the inner and doubtful side of myself, allowing me to step beyond my comfort zone. It was unquestionably a fantastic blend of fun moments (outside of the working hours) and professional experience. During my four weeks as an intern in Barcelona, I met some wonderful people and established lifelong friends. I have enjoyed every single moment of my work experience; and being able to experience a working environment has led me to unlock the potential within myself and explore the skillset that I have attained during my academic experience, as well as to develop new life skills that will undoubtedly benefit myself in the future. Barcelona is a fantastic and dynamic city with fascinating architecture, delicious food, friendly people, and stunning sightseeing. During my time in Barcelona, I was able to explore the city and got comfortable living there for a month because it felt like home! I got to know and explore Madrid, Girona, and many other places in Spain, and within Barcelona such as Camp Nou, Catalunya, La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, and many more. Outside the office, I’ve spent time with wonderful people who have made this experience even more memorable. I will be eternally thankful to Absolute Internship for providing me with this fantastic opportunity. And a particular thanks to the Absolute team members, coordinators, and entire organisation for always making me feel welcome, at home, and never alone. Finally, I’d want to express my gratitude to Absolute Internship for the excellent work and well-organised experience, and state unequivocally that it was all worthwhile!!! Without the assistance of Absolute Internship, none of this amazing and unforgettable experience in Barcelona would have been possible. I am grateful for this opportunity, and I will definitely apply again in the future.

It was an incredible adventure and I grew so much as a person!

Interning with Absolute Internship has been a fantastic experience. The internship itself opened up various opportunities for me and strengthened my confidence. Although I participated in a remote internship, the experience was not at all daunting. The staff are friendly, considerate and committed. I feel I have become a part of the Absolute family, and I would Absolute-ly take up an Internship with them again!

I did a one-month internship in person in Shanghai. I had an amazing time both professionally and socially! My employer was fantastic and pushed me to achieve my potential, while the entire absolute team / other students made the trip so fun. It was great exploring a new city with like-minded people. I could not recommend the experience enough and if I wasn't looking for a graduate job would definitely do it again.

The company where I was assigned had nothing to do with my study field, I study biotech and they assigned me in a company of wheelchairs. People from the company were kind but the feedback of the project I was doing was every week with few changes and attention by the company via email was poor

It was overall a great time--I had a remote internship (due to COVID), and I think it would have only been improved with an in-person experience! The only real challenge I had was adapting to time zone differences.

I think I got really lucky with the company I was matched with. I have been able to grow both professionally and personally. While time zone differences can be a bit challenging, being able to work with people from all over the globe is an invaluable experience!

Did not get matched with country or field of interest. Did not do work that I was interested in. My internship was flexible which was good.

It was very helpful and gave me opportunities to learn from my area of work and myself.

Absolute Internship was able to place me in the career field I was interested in. However, I found the time zone difference a bit tiring after a while. The burnout was real. But I guess it was a realistic remote internship experience.
