Got shutters fitted in my bedroom 3 years ago and they’re still as good as new! Easy to clean and the process of getting them was so smooth! The team are very attentive and I can’t wait to get my next set!!

Have previously used this family run company for shutters & would highly recommend them. Both the surveyor & fitter that we met were very pleasant & cleared up after themselves .Excellent customer service & we were kept up to date of the delivery & installation details. Have 2 more windows that we would like shutters for & will definitely use this company again.

[UPDATED] Friendly and very professional staff — until they don't like what you write on TrustPilot! I recently discovered, after having spent £900 on blinds, that they only had a one-year guarantee. One of them has broken. Spare parts are not available and I was quoted £125 to try to match a new blind to the three others in the room — with no guarantee of a match, because Affordable Shutters no longer use that supplier, so possibly one thousand pounds to replace all the ones I purchased, in other rooms too. In my situation it has proven to be much cheaper to buy curtains; I don’t want to throw good money after bad. I can replace curtains every few years and it'll still work out far cheaper than using "Affordable" Shutters' products.

In response to Affordable Shutters' rather waspish reply: I didn't say that the lodger *had* broken it, I mentioned it was a possibility and, as I made perfectly clear at the time, I was quite prepared to pay for a reasonably-priced spare part. Then, your staff member "went above and beyond", as you put it, and sent one link (as far as I recall) for a replacement part that, sadly, lacked the lug required to secure the blind to the window — so was of no use. But I really do appreciate the massive effort she made here; if only we didn't have to contend with that pesky gravity, it might well have worked! Yes, I am now fully aware that your blinds are only guaranteed for one year — that is why I entitled my review "Check the guarantee period", as a warning to other potential customers; maybe you didn't pick up on that? Nine hundred pounds for something with a one-year guarantee does not represent good value, as far as I'm concerned and, even if they last seven years, that's still poor value. Needless to say, I won't be using your services again: the blinds that haven't yet broken never fitted very well anyway — they repeatedly dropped in the corners — so I think I'll upgrade to curtains all over as they'll look better, are cheaper, won't break and will be immune to the force of gravity.

By complete coincidence, another customer has just spontaneously commented on how pleased she is that her blinds are "long-lasting" — three years after purchase! What are the chances of that happening?! Spooky!

For clarity, I originally gave three stars but have downgraded it, following the tone of the company's response.

My advice to any potential customer still stands: CHECK THE GUARANTEE PERIOD!

Shutters look fabulous. Quality is second to none!! My mother in law had them fitted over 15 years ago and her shutters are still as good as new today. We decided to go with affordable shutters too and from start to finish the service is outstanding. We have had the whole house fitted and electric blinds in the kitchen. Electric blinds are a game changer and look amazing. They are easily fitted and work brilliantly . Easily charged and make a lovely sound as they open and close. Everyone has commented on them, so I recommend to anyone thinking of having blinds , go for electric, worth every penny.

Just had shutters fitted in my front room. Harry came and gave my husband and I the quote and answered all our questions. Then Jake and Harry fitted them for us. We are so pleased with them they look amazing and our very good quality.

We had our shutters installed nearly 4 years ago. A few weeks ago a 'louvre' fixing broke. We contacted Kerry @ Affordable Shutters, gave our details and the issue.
Kerry advised they had a shipment coming in, in a few weeks; we made arrangements for a visit and the installer has been, repaired the fixing and gone.
I can't readily think of any company that would come out to repair an item supplied and fitted nearly 4 years later, at no charge.

I chose Affordable Shutters after competitive evaluation for Large Partition blinds in Lounge and Study Blinds. They conducted a no-pressure sizing exercise and the finished product is excellent and draws comments from any visitors. The staff are all excellent and their fitter even helped me drill through a tough lintel to enable my own curtains to be fitted. Things do go wrong - Covid and Shipping constraint outwith their control meant a delay but the staff were communicative and couldn't have been more apologetic. A quality, well run business i would use again without hesitation.

Just great service from beginning to end. Shutters were measured up, ordered and installed within the agreed timescales and are exactly as promised - in fact better than I could have hoped! Everyone I dealt with throughout the process was knowledgeable and courteous which is often a rarity these days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I was so pleased with my shutters that I had to get Affordable Shutters around again as soon as I moved house. Again, fantastic service, they are such a friendly company and not at all pushy. The shutters are such good quality and look really stylish & real value for money. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Affordable Shutters enough - from quote to installation they were thoroughly efficient and professional - There was a slight delay on installation date but given current climate we were ok with that. We did our research and contacted a number of companies for quotes- AS offered the best materials ( wood ) and the best design. We love our blinds . They let in minimal light and look beautiful - We are very happy customers - many thanks to Harry, Kerry & Steve ( I made a note of all their names - rarely am I that impressed )

I absolutely love my shutters, from the the measuring up and talking about what type I would like to to have to the fitting of the shutters was amazing. The company have gone above and beyond to help make sure I got the right shutters.

Affordable shutters are the best shutters I have ever had fitted. super friendly and fast delivery also fitted to perfection, will definitely be having my new house fitted with them too. You won't be disappointed fab company.

We were looking to fit shutters to all the windows facing the road and after carrying out some research online spoke to Affordable Shutters who arranged to come and quote. They arrived on time on the day, were courteous and knowledgeable and we received an estimate the following day which we decided to proceed with.

Having paid 50% upfront we were told that there would be a wait of 8-10 weeks for the shutters to be manufactured and shipped to the UK. After 8 weeks we received a call to that the shutters had arrived and we arranged a day the following week for them to be fitted.

Again the team turned up on time and spent the morning fitting shutters in two bay windows and another 3 large sash windows in a house where there are absolutely no straight lines anymore. They've done a fantastic job, the shutters look to be really well made and the whole process was painless from start to finish. No hard sell at any stage either which makes a pleasant change.

We are really happy and I'd like to recommend the company unreservedly.
