Aaron worked tirelessly to advise us on the right way to proceed with a mortgage when we were let down by another advisor. Had we had listened to the other advisor we would have pulled out of the house sale. I can not thank Aaron enough for all of work and advice, he found me a mortgage that was achievable and affordable in such a short space of time. His advice and service has been second to none and i can safely say for any mortgages I need in the future Aaron will be without a doubt the advisor I go to.

Interesting to read Jessica Langley’s feedback on the Google reviews, it’s very similar to my recent experiences. I have also used Chris Farrell for several years for mortgage and pension advice.

Most recent mortgage he placed to a high street bank, my current lender had a rate drop lower to the new lender placed with, I had a week to take up the offer, phone calls and emails to Chris were ignored, and when I had no choice but to accept the lower rate with my current lender, I was told by Chris the new lender had reduced their rates to a comparative amount, what a coincidence.

During this mortgage exercise, I was also advised by Chris to move my pension to their own platform through Elevate, of which I did through trusting advice of several years.

Whilst I accept world markets have changed and stock market/pension values have reduced over the last year, I was losing near £1300 a month after transferring over to Amas. I was told by Chris to not be so “irrational” and what did I expect, suggesting I was stupid. The reason I questioned the aggressive reductions in my pension was down to wanting to know exactly what risk I had been placed, low, medium or high, because on the surface of things, it didn’t appear to be medium.

Having taken brief advice from two other Pension Advisors, both indicated around a -7% to -8% would be within current environments, of which when I mentioned this to Chris, he said they were “lying”.

Interestingly following that discussion in which I was told I was “irrational” and others were “lying”, I received a performance review from Amas which showed Amas/Elevate as a -15.85% in performance to an industry comparative benchmark of - 6.54% giving a difference of -9.14% poorer in Amas/Elevates performance. Figures that don’t lie!

Such a shame after near to ten years of dealing with Chris, I was spoken to like I was stupid moron and told to not be so “irrational” either this was with a didn’t care to sorting out a clients concern attitude or it was down to being over familiar, either way, I don’t take to being spoken to in the way he did, it was unprofessional.

Aaron has been a massive help to me, kept me updated throughout and is always there if needed.
looking forward to working with Aaron more in the future. Highly recommended.
