Iâm a type 1 diabetic using an insulin pump that relies on my iPhone and Apple Watch to monitor my glucose. When my iPhone battery suddenly began dying within hours, it caused dangerous highs/lows as I canât monitor my glucose levels in good time to avoid hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia without the Medtronic app connection to my iphone and Apple Watch.
I went to Apple Store Cardiff and was told I had a same-day battery replacement appointment (2.5â3 hr wait, 30â60 min repair). I waited nearly 4 hours, returning multiple times, only to be told at the last minute there were âno slots leftâ and no replacement would be done.
Despite clearly explaining my medical reliance on the device, there was zero empathy or urgency. Staff gave conflicting information, ignored waiting customers, and even when I asked for a manager, nothing was resolved. I was told to come back and queue again the next day.
Minutes after leaving, I received an email saying my battery was ready.
4+ hours wasted, £12 parking, and left without a working phone I rely on to manage my condition. Truly unacceptable.

A few days ago, I went to the Apple Store located in the Bentall Centre in Kingston upon Thames, London, and bought a pair of AirPods. After using them for a few days, I noticed the left earbud wasnât working and was making odd, irritating noises. I returned to the store on the 13th day since purchase and explained the issue. They said they were ready to help and had no problem assisting.
They went through the process, but when it came to disabling Find My and removing the device from my phone, it wasnât working. They told me to come back the next day. I returned on the 14th day, which was the last day under Appleâs return policy. They tried again and said Iâd need to speak with U.S. customer service to disconnect it on their end.
During these two days, I called Apple about 10 to 13 times, speaking to different staff, managers, and store employees. I was incredibly frustrated, as no one seemed to know the solution. Some Apple staff admitted theyâd seen this issue before and that only headquarters could fix it. I asked them, since it was my last day, if I came back tomorrow, would they still help me. They said yes.
On the 15th day (when Appleâs policy no longer applied), I returned. The manager, named Lee, was very rude, hostile, and angry with me. He told me the matter was between me and the company that financed the purchase (Recreation). He said I needed to call them. When I asked him to speak to them on the phone, he shouted, saying he couldnât do that and it wasnât his problem. He claimed I was late, even though they had told me theyâd help.
They lied to me, and it was extremely upsetting. I stayed calm, but even the Recreation representative on the phone said, âWhy are they speaking to you like this?â I felt defeated. Lee told me I had to keep the faulty product and that he wouldnât help me. Eventually, I had to speak to multiple managers and customer service after more calls and waiting. Finally, someone from Apple helped by sending me replacement earbuds, and I returned the faulty ones.
Though the issue is now resolved, Iâm left with a terrible feeling. I donât want to return to that Apple Store. I expected much better behavior from a manager, but he was hostile as if he had a personal problem with me. I hadnât done anything besides ask what to do. I didnât argue. Even the person from Recreation heard everything and wondered why he acted that way.
VERY long time Apple user, unimpressed now
I am a VERY long time Apple user (I have been using a Mac since 1988) and I have to say I am extremely unimpressed with the Macbook M5 Max. I have the topped-out model with 48 GB of RAM, and despite Apple's claims of considerable CPU advantage over my old M1, in reality it can't do the real-time tasks that I purchased the M5 to be able to do. In fact, it behaves pretty much precisely the same as the M1, which is now 5 years old.
Tahoe also has some major issues, particularly in the design of certain interface items. As an example, whatever you do, DO NOT press the Red Text saying Stop Extended Display in the Mirroring widget on the Finder. Apple in their infinite wisdom have put this here and it seems like the logical place to stop projecting to an Extended Display for now. In fact, it will stop you from projecting to all Extended Displays foreverâŠunless you bash out an extremely long code in Terminal which took me a couple of hours to find.
The only positive thing I have to say is that the 2TB internal SSD is appreciated and works well.... In short though, avoid... hang on to your M1-4 as the M5 doesn't feel like an upgrade, and it is certainly not one that is worth more than £3500.

For the price i paid
For the price i paid , the iphone 15 is disappointing. The camera is far too complicated for itâs own good when you canât even select to have the flash always on, *facepalm* , i dont have a clue what all their hipster options are i just know sometimes i need a flash and i canât get it! * facepalm*. Also stop asking if im taking a selfie!! Bluetooth connectivity is also as random as ever. * facepalm*.

Excellent instore service
Went in the Apple Store in Reading, Berkshire to upgrade my phone. The guy who helped was named Sunny. He was amazing! He knows his stuff and was very patient with this non tech person. The store now has a table dedicated for people to transfer data from old to new devices which is so helpful. The lady who should have be assisting us all was engrossed with another customer so I asked Rebecca a quick question, Rebecca is an Apple tutor so in between her tutorials, she was happy to help me with a couple of small set up tasks. Again, Rebecca was so patient.
Things was going fine until I came to the part I knew would give me huge grief = the Lebara eSIM. Sunny had been keeping a distant watchful eye on me as he knew this was going to be a problem for me. Sunny came straight back and helped me liaise with Lebara and with Sunnyâs expert experience, we managed to have the eSIM sent within minutes rather than 24/48 hours.
I cannot thank Sunny and Rebecca enough. They are amazing people and a real asset to Apple, Reading, UK.
Absolutely terrible service
Absolutely terrible service, Iâve got a faulty mobile cover + the receipt, went into change , had to book in with the Genius Bar - why??? Came back for my appointment was completely ignored by the member of staff on the table I was sent too, he walked off , no acknowledgment, no explanation , completely blanked me. Rang up to complain, asked how to complain , and was told I was being âcondescendingâ. Emailed for the manager to call me, I had a refusal email back. I was planning on buying a new computer too , I will not be doing it in this store thatâs if I even buy Apple again.

Express Replacement / Money held for long
I had an express replacement for my apple ultra watch and the repair was completed on time and marked as complete on the 6th of February. However, apple did not release the hold amount upon repair completion rather they set an automatic release date a month later 5th of March.
I know about the automatic release date from my financial institution.
Upon calling Apple support they were useless to offer a resolution before the 5th of March and as a result on the 1st I had to pay the full amount 699£ from my credit card and then wait for a refund which I received on the 5th.
I knew that apple is the worst company you can choose to give your money but this is theft in plain sight. Keeping peoples money for cash flow is not the way to go Apple.
I was already disappointed with you but after this I will start withdrawing from buying products from you.

Well no 5 stars, however, I never thought I would ever say this. But few days ago I got iPhone 17 pro max. I love it.. also couple of apple laptops and currently 4k and 5k iMacs, however I think being forced to outdate the 2017 models to buy a new one is a bit wrong, but they do seem strong and reliable, I still have windows as main pc but apple arenât bad at all.

100 mile 2.5 hour drive to got to the Trafford Centre for a back screen repair that I booked 5 days ago. They had nor ordered the part so I need to come back another day. A waste of 5 hours and an unnecessary 200 mile drive

I donât usually write reviews but I had to for Andy at Apple, as he was amazing. I went in as I had a problem with my phone, my phone had been erased so I wasnât able to access anything. He let me know he was able to help but that I needed to go to EE first to get a new E sim as it had been erased, I went to EE and, as I wasnât the account holder they werenât able to help me. I went back to apple and Andy went above and beyond to try help me, he let me call my mum to log into the EE app and try to download my new E sim, unfortunately it wouldnât work as we needed to wait 24hrs for a new sim. Andy then ran me through the whole process so I could do it from home. Thank you for your help!

Terrible experience with purchasing Iphone on apple.co.uk. they are providing misleading information, stages of the online purchase and customer support is amateurish. Now I am not surprised why such a low score on trustpilot. the poor level of apple support is not a chance but norm!
Apple refusing to honour trade in agreement
My wife bought a new iphone 17pro from the Apple Southampton store, but they had no staff available to help transfer data from her old iphone 15pro so told her to go away do herself and come back to complete trade in the old phone. They checked the old phone at point of sale of the new phone and confirmed this was in excellent condition. When she returned 7 days later the staff refused to trade in her (excellent condition) phone for an inexplicable reason - possibly an iCloud fault of Apple (not ours). That has left my wife £395 out of pocket and frustrated that she has had to travel a long way each time to our nearest store. I will report Apple to trading standards as they have in effect miss sold us a new phone with a (contractually) unfulfilled promise of a trade in - this comes either under false advertising or under consumer protection law, it is not acceptable for a large American company to abuse customers this way.
