Mattress purchased
It was our first time visiting a Benson for Beds store and we managed to select our new mattress with ease. The sales person allowed us time to navigate the store,chat about our requirements without pressure.

Great customer service
Martyn at Bensons for Beds in Kettering was very helpful and gave a great advise, without being too overwhelming, as some sales and marketing managers and staff can often be. He has explained all the variety for the products in a great detail, making the choice and purchase easy for us.

Review based on kettering branch mid…
Review based on kettering branch mid week experience. Store closed at 17:35 despite online and shop front window close at 6pm. Went into DFS next door who says managers car is there. So maybe he is getting busy with a staff member in the back. Popped into dreams and they report it is normal for them to do this.

Very friendly and knowledgeable with out trying to push or upsell as other shops try and that can just be confusing or annoying as buying a bed is not high on my list of best ever shopping trips. I don't get excited about bed shopping. It was nice to be advised and guilded on the product and things kept simple.
I hope the delivery process is just as straightforward

Product not the issue. Customer service is
I am sure the products are of a good quality as when testing in the store they were very comfortable. My issue is not even with the colleague in store who was super helpful and explained everything so well.
My issue lies with the fulfilment and customer service of Bensons.
The delivery date was a week after in store purchase, which is fine. We were told the window would be given to us at least 3 days before delivery. The window however was given to me more than a week before fulfilment. So far so good. However, the 2 hour slot was between 7am and 9am.
The products are for my elderly vulnerable parents, who are not at the peak of health - one with serious mobility issues. Which means that both would have to be up and out of bed before 7am just in case the knock at the door was bang on.
Having called the number from the email to try and push the window back a little more, I was told there was nothing he could do as the system works out a schedule by postcode, but he would put me through to customer service.
I explained everything to them again, and was told there was nothing they would be able to do as it was all automated, but he would let me know for certain.
I am truly appalled and perplexed that there is no human intervention possible with a delivery system that even itself delivers at unsocial hours. Why can’t provisions be put into place on a case by case basis for amendments to deliveries, particularly for the elderly and vulnerable.
Shocked and disgusted at the post sale customer service by Bensons. Unlikely to use them again and will happily walk the extra 50yards to use their competitor.

An excellent service from the in store salesman (Martin from the Kettering branch), down to the delivery reminders and the actual delivery itself.
The large choice of mattresses was great and I would highly recommend Bensons.
