Bought Income protection from them. They found every excuse to not pay out which for me was i found a new job too fast. Avoid at all costs. They would get technical with terms like "unemployment". So i was unemployed for 2 months, however 1 was paid in liu and so they said i dont get insurance. This also meant btw that i didnt get universal credit. So basically i was in a worse place in getting insurance with them than i would have been without it. Worst decision i ever made working with them.

The policy is not worth the paper its printed on. Scam artists avoid at all costs. They continue to take payments while they investigate claims then make up any reason not to pay out. You might as well just burn your money, avoid at all costs warn all your friends and family to avoid absolute cheaters and scam artists!!

Do not trust this company, the bottom line is they do not want to pay even when your claim is solid, they constantly delay and won’t give a decision let alone pay, I am in the process of formerly complaining which will then go to the ombudsman. Avoid!!!

Again I did not qualify for the criteria of the policy, which I didn't know about, as I had to work 6 months, I didn't make it out of the probation 8th Jan to 7 June this is the second time I haven't been able to claim bad bad bad bad I have emailed them as well read everything and they ask for details all the time and even when you have sent it to them they ask for more, they take ages to respond to emails and always pass the book when you phone

I bought a policy from best insurance last year for unemployment cover and I had to recently make a claim as I was made redundant. The claim process was simple and straightforward and was paid my claim with no problem. The stress of being made redundant and then the  thought a stressful claim process was too much but I was surprised to how straightforward it was. Thank you best!

When they tell you that they will arrange direct debit being setup by third party company that means they will be arranging credit agreement with some 3-party lender which will impact your credit score adversely.

(I had clearly asked to the personnel that would this policy taken by best insurance would cause any negative impact on my credit score, he said clearly no. However, it has impacted my credit score) beware of this fraudulent activity.

They would then tell you that it was your broker/sale process who opt in. They will claim that best insurance is only policy administrator.

However, all the marketing leads are being passed by this company to these brokers. Basically, when you fill the form on their website, they will pass your information to a broker who would say that he is from best insurance. However, best insurance will never take responsibility of the information shared by this broker/sales guy/ whomsoever this guy was.

Pathetic.

They trap you in the way that you could not cancel your insurance in the middle of the term of your policy which you should be able to as per the cancellation terms in the policy. You will have to think twice thrice, because cancellation in middle of the term means that you are breaking credit agreement with the third party which will impact your credit score.

I had a productive conversation with a highly informed sales agent who guided me through a diverse array of products and helped me identify the most fitting policy. The setup process was swift, and I'm satisfied with the coverage I received.

Avoid this company. You only know how good an insurance company is when you have to make a claim. Utterly deplorable level of customer service who will do anything and everything to invalidate your poilcy. I have reported to the Financial Ombudsman service. Pay a bit extra and go to a more reputable company.

Scam warning! This company en-debts you to them and marks you on your credit report without telling you. They then refuse to cancel within the time limit and take money from you without permission. I have reported to the Financial Ombudsman service. Avoid at all costs

Had to take out a ccj against underwriter but Davies group won't accept any court ruling. Best insurance is a dormant company .

Changed my bank account and immediately received a letter of default from their debt collector without receiving any letters or calls from Best Insurance. This will have a detrimental effect to my otherwise bullet proof credit rating. They were trying to charge me a fee for the 3rd party contacting me.

Obviously I cancelled the policy immediately. I'm surprised they have any customers.

This company's practice stinks -- Avoid like the plague!

If I could do a zero I would. Had a policy didn't pay out. Don't waste your money.

I've interacted with the client service team to update my address and ask some general questions about the policy. Spoke to Al, call answered in 2 rings, address updated, questions answered which transpired i was not entitled for lower premiums after a review (only downside here is that I didn't receive the communication on this - it was sent in october, so may have missed in my emails or junk folders). The policy documents were reissued on the call and received. This is of course based on my service experience, and not a claim interaction.

Many of the reviews I have read are based on ease of purchase of a policy. Of course!
However, when you legitimately need to make a claim, this is where the fun begins. I was made redundant from my job after 24 years' service December 2021. The first payment I received was in June 2022 and that only after a great deal of effort, wrangling etc to prove that I was indeed unemployed. I understand that people have perhaps abused the system, but the jumping through hoops every month to claim what is rightfully yours (because you've paid very high monthly premiums for it) is stressful and leaves a very sour taste indeed. It could be that all insurance companies act in this manner - I don't know; I'm not in the habit of making claims, but I do know it's not been an easy time to actually get the underwriters to pay ... I believe one is eligible to claim for a period of up to 12 months. Having received 3.5 months at this stage, I was advised in writing this week that my policy won't be renewed in November because I'm too old!!! Food for thought here, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I now have life, critical illness and my income protection done, saving me over £180 per month. Now I am waiting for my house insurance to come up for renewal and I will call Emily

I was insured with them 8 year. They randomly trebled my insurance then canceled it for no reason. They told me I could take out another policy if I liked but I'd have to start again from scratch. Click on their google reviews and you'll notice that the 5 star reviews come from people who review companies world wide.... hmmmmm

Great service, very professional, courteous staff and an excellent management team! I'd highly recommend anyone buying insurance!
