The receptionist was very helpful and sorted out my membership change. Sadly this could not be done on-line as your system didn’t offer me the appropriate options.

The pool is freezing
The pool is freezing! I signed up for a swim only membership, £33 a month. I’ve been a handful of times and each time I’ve got cramp from the freezing cold temperatures. The changing room is freezing, it takes me ages to get changed as I can’t feel my hands! When I asked if the pool temp could be increased slightly I was told that the professional swimmers like the temp, any warmer and it’s too warm for them. So to hell with the kids and older people who which to enjoy the pool also! I spoke to a few people while in the pool and they all said there’s no point asking for a temp increase as the staff don’t care. The advice I got from the staff was to swim faster! Bloody cheek! Aside from the pool and changing room temp and the shocking customer services it’s a great place to swim! I also asked if I could use the sauna to warm myself up but that’s not part of my membership so I have to continue to freeze! Sadly I’m going to have to give up the membership as it’s just not safe, getting cramp while swimming is dangerous.

Our pool temperature is currently set to suit a range of users, including professional swimmers, but we understand that this may not work for everyone, and your feedback has been escalated to the management team at the Kendal Leisure Centre

Such helpful staff
All staff are so helpful and the swimming instructors are amazing with the children, they have gotten my terrified 5 year old back in the water and she’s having such fun.

Brilliant introduction/health exam, followed by an induction. Richard was extremely professional, informative and friendly.

Great gym!
The gym is well equipped and never overly busy when I’ve visited. Also really enjoying the tai chi classes :)
