Better - Truro Leisure Centre レビュー 

Tracey is just wonderful,- make you comfortable and take time to go through things..the only minus was the long waiting time which got even longer since Tracey got ill,- which meant that the whole process was delayed a month more..I understand it is a charity and few hands to do the job, maybe the assessment part could be done differently- it is long time which is used to do the assessment and the first 1:1 introduction.

I love coming here staff are friendly and helpful

Truro better have been fantastic with my daughters swimming! She was so nervous to start with but thanks to their help and support is gaining confidence each week!

Both our children have now completed the better leisure swim school programme. The most recent is our seven year old who is now on a waiting list to join the local swimming club.
Truro is a great leisure centre with fantastic facilities and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend

All of my children have learnt to swim well through swim school. Living in Cornwall it's so important for children to understand water safety and be able to swim and the swim school programme is ensuring my children lean. Teachers are friendly and knowledgeable which makes the process all the better.

As a mother I know that my child has no more than completely excelled within all of the incredible swimming tuition and absolutely adores his swimming lessons. I am really reassured that my child is confidentially and appropriately learning to swim properly. I feel that through all my experience of swimming classes that Truro leisure centre is by far the best in Cornwall.many thanks to all the staff.

Friendly staff and clean toilets. Pool excellent. Only problem was no covered bike racks; just railings exposed to the rain .

Great friendly staff.

Visit at your peril. I went in May to go for a swim and now have debt collectors chasing me about parking tickets from 'unauthorised parking'. I have email receipts to prove I was there, they don't care. What an absolute hassle just to go to one of the few pools in Cornwall, which is sad.

The lady on reception was great. i was late for my class and she took me to the gym and sorted everything out for me. The gym instructor was also very nice and helpful.

Parking on site is a mission!!!!
Getting a space can be about the same odds as winning the lottery at times.
GYM!!!!!
Gym has dated, well worn and poor quality equipment.
Which can be out of service and waiting for repair for months!!!!!
No. I'm not kidding!!!!
Maintenance. WHAT MAINTENANCE!!!
Just one example would be a treadmill out of action for at least six months!!!
Free weights.
Well you've got two benches you can comfortably use. A third that's useless.
Dumbells range from 2 to 40 kilos and that's about it for them.
If your lifting heavier than that.
YOUR NOT HERE.
There are no plans to get any heavier one's either.
Barbell max for lifting is a dodgy 50. Dodgy as your gingerly lifting it waiting for a plate to drop off.
Oh and NO SQUAT RACK!!!!
What gym doesn't have a squat rack?
THIS ONE HERE DOESN'T!
Decent area for purely bench press? Smiths machine maybe?
NO!!!!

New building to go up.
Promises of new gym equipment made and guess what.
NOTHING DELIVERED ON THIS.
Oh and when the new building is put up (when I possibly win the lottery) spaces in the car park will go. Causing more parking issues.

I Can not write this review without mentioning the gym between three and five on weekday afternoons.
Between these hours 20 plus teens will descend upon the Gym.
Gym etiquette is just two words that are not understood!!!!
Turn your back and you've lost the equipment you were working with.
Then there's the endless waiting to get on a piece of equipment to get anything done.
Hence virtually no adults attend at this time.
Because they are literally wasting their time. THE TIME THAT'S LIMITED TO THREE HOURS OF PARKING!!!

Investment is desperately needed!!!
Control on numbers in the gym is needed.
Regarding control on numbers.
An email goes out to all stating no booking is required for the Gym.
Yet some members of staff state you have to book. Even on occasion some staff stating as such to members in such a manner to cause distress to them. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

A decent gym overall is needed.
Hot showers are needed.
A toilet that flushes without needing the force of a good kick on the button to do so would be good.

Is there value for money?
Debatable depending on what you want to do?
If it's the gym you'll be using only and strength training or building then no.
GO ELSEWHERE!!
There are better Gyms in the area.

Need to take note of what's been said before by others, wrote here and take ACTION!!!
Dare one say this, but do your job or ensure others are doing theirs.
Making things run smoother and providing value for money services, equipment and overall a centre for fitness and well-being.

So here we are. Now ten days since the review was posted and no one has contacted me. As per their response of someone will be in touch.
So three members of management on site can't give a monkey's.
Okay let's see of any of those higher up actually give a dam.
It appears so far that once this company has your money they don't give one.
Communication of a house brick and urgency of a stunned slug in getting things sorted.

Had an accident at the centre was laughed at and ignored by instructor whilst trying to get assistance and first aid causing me to have another accident trying to find someone to help me, manager has been usless in dealing with my accident and complaint and not followed health and safety guidelines or betters own complaints procedure , constantly having to chase better up but manager is too busy covering his own back and thinks its ok to harass customers from his private number to stop them taking things further and thinks its ok for an instructor to ignore someone who has an accident in their class and then laugh and ignore them when they trying to get first aid whilst bleeding out in reception with wittness and cctv to prove what happened but he still does nothing. He does not put customers first and is simply not up to the job in many peoples opinion including a high percentage of his staff

This company is complacent in its attitude towards customers safety and rights. They allowed a manager to breach a customers data and harass her in the car park for making a formal complaint. They ignore fire safety and health and safety issues until pulled up on it by the fire services or senior area managers and can't even find first aid supplies or an accident reporting book when someone injures themselves. They employ fitness instructors who are not appropriately qualified and when challenged on their incompetence block customers from their social media. The pool is also freezing and changing rooms a filthy disgrace but it is the attitude of the manager that stinks the most

Great leisure centre. Very helpful staff. Clean facilities.
