Unauthorized $180 Charge With No Refund and Unprofessional Support
Biteable was disappointing. The platform was used for one school project, and I did not upgrade to any paid plan.
My bank account was charged $180 without prior authorization, and I didn't receive any receipts, invoices, or billing notifications.
When I contacted customer service to request a refund, they told me the charge was non-refundable after only one day of use. They were dismissive and unprofessional. It wasn't clear who I was communicating with or if the issue was being handled by an authorized representative because the email didn't clearly state the sender's position or role within the company.
The response also failed to explain how a charge could occur when no upgrade was made. The exact reply I received was:
“We do not require any card or payment for a trial. Payment is only required to upgrade to a paid plan and all language is very clear that there are no refunds and cards will be charged upon upgrade.”

Charging customers without clear authorization, not providing receipts, and responding without proper identification raises serious questions about transparency and accountability.

We used Biteable for several years under the clear promise that our projects and layouts would remain stored and accessible, even if we paused payments or kept the account inactive for a time. This assurance was given repeatedly by their support team, and it was the main reason we continued paying for so long.
However, once we stopped using the service, we discovered that our content was no longer available or recoverable, despite being told otherwise. Even after downloading our files, restoring them inside the platform proved to be practically impossible.
This creates the feeling of a forced dependency: unless you continue paying indefinitely, you risk losing everything you created. That is not how a creative tool should work.
The most disappointing part is the lack of professional support. After more than three years as paying customers —even during periods when we were not actively using the tool— Biteable offered no effective assistance, no real explanation, and no solution. The response was dismissive and unhelpful.
For a startup like ours, losing valuable content meant wasted time, wasted money, and the frustration of realizing that our trust had been misplaced.
In conclusion, Biteable does not provide the reliability, stability, or transparency that a service of this nature should guarantee.
We do not recommend Biteable for any organization that requires long-term access to its work or expects a platform to honor its commitments.
Started really good, then got ruined

The final straw was when they deleted my account. I got an email on Saturday telling me they were about to delete my account the following day (Sunday). By the time I got the email on Monday, my account was already gone.
Terrible video quality

The trial period does not allow you to download videos to see the final quality (with or without a watermark). After purchasing, I was disappointed with the video quality—it's terrible, and no refund
Transforms colleague communication
Caveat - it's paid for by the business so I don't foot the bill. But I love it. When you learn the features, which doesn't take long, if you're familiar with some basic branding concepts and stick to the right colours it can revolutionise the way you communicate. My advice, always map out your script on word before you turn it into a video.

I find biteable to be an amazing service with a great structure to deliver elegant and simple messages when it comes to creating ads, interna communications and any other type of short video presentations!
They will take your money and run
They have an auto-renew. They will NOT reimburse any amount after the renewal has been processed. They will take your money and run.
I "chatted" with a customer service rep who was so smug about the auto-renewal. They sent one heads-up email about 2 weeks ahead of time over the holidays. I care about the money that I won't get back. But I care more that their policy is so rigid that they'd rather loose customers and future business than provide a partial reimbursement. That tells you everything about their values.
I was an early adopter and evangelist for this company when I first found them in 2016. Now, I would not recommend them for anything.
There are other platforms that are easier, more versatile, and cheaper as well as more ethical. Use them instead!
Scammers. Don't give them your credit card.
How does this scamming company stay in business? I was informed that I was in a 7-day free trial and immediately informed them I was not interested and to cancel my trial subscription. They charged my credit card for a year. My bank says they reversed it. We'll see. Every review here is one star except for the ones posted by the company shills.
Absolutely NO Refunds, whatsoever
We subscribed to the service in 2021. We stopped using Biteable in 2022. The subscription auto-renews without even sending you any notification that your subscription is renewing. We thought we cancelled it in 2023. Here it is Nov 2024 and they are still charging us for a service we haven't used in 2 years.
After speaking with support, they said their policy is strict and they do not offer any refunds and sent me to their Refund Policy...never responding to the chat again. Very rude.
Misleading renewal policy
When you subscribe, it is by default set up as automatic renewal. It is not clear on your account that it is an automatic one. To stop the automatic, you have to cancel your subscription, what is not the most obvious way of doing it. When one year later, I've realised that I had been charged for another year, I immediately contacted them. Due to their "strict cancellation policy", they didn't want to refund the subscription. They offered instead credits for a future subscription (knowing that I don't know if / when I will have to use it again). Their renewal policy is misleading and their customer service lacks completely of flexibility. They lost a ex-happy customer.

It's like they trap you, and then you're stuck with a completely useless service. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company.
The website is not functional at all
The website is not functional at all. It nearly tripled the amount of time I spent on a video due to loading times. Extremely slow. Customer service is a joke. Absolutely no refunds, even after only 24 hours from purchase. It's a click bait service that charges insane prices. They know the platform is terrible, so they try to charge people as much as they can right off the bat so they make their money off you before you realize how unfunctional the website really is.

Despite requesting a refund just 30 minutes after registration, I was denied. This approach to business, seemingly employing bait-and-switch tactics, is disappointing. Buyers should be cautious.
Poor Service
After deciding not to renew my $828 per year subscription, Biteable tried to coerce me into resubscribing by threatening to disable all the video links. I work as a sole provider and the videos I created were used to inform people with disabilities about the work I do. Biteable's greed put a stop to this.
