Tracey was extremely helpful on our visit today and helped in choosing walking boots for my partner.
She was knowledgeable and friendly.
We were passed onto Jack at the checkout who was also friendly and helpful.
The store offered a great range of product

Nion was very helpful and went the extra mile for us, bought some bulky items and he carried them to the till for me whilst I was still shopping, which made for a nice added touch

It was an amazing store and everyone was so kind. The person who helped us was Nion and he was an absolutely wonderful person. He helped us to pick rucksacks and checked everything for us so we got the best items.

Wanted to buy walking trousers and jacket. Picked out a pair of trousers, went to fitting room and all cubicles were locked! As you enter fitting room you are met with a sign threatening you with CCVT too. It all smacks of not trusting your customers which is very offensive. Waited for a member of staff to appear and eventually had to go to till to ask for cubicle to be opened. Tried trousers on that were too long so selected a shorter pair, went back to fitting room which was locked again with no staff member in sight again. Totally ridiculous and I haven’t got the time to be chasing a member of staff up every time I want to try an item of clothing on. Went to Tresspass and no issues there at all I could come and go as I pleased to the fitting room shock horror! Bought myself trousers and jacket. Won't be returning to Black's ever again.

Was served by Saadia she was excellent, she helped me out with a good waterproof jacket. She answered all my questions and gave me information on what would suit me best. The rest of the team were also really friendly.

The company I work for issues me vouchers that can be used to pay for work shoes in amongst other stores are Blacks. I went into Blacks, Basingstoke today Sat 21st Feb to pick out some Magnum Boots that meet the criteria. When I get to the till I hand over the vouchers and the lady says “we don't take those”. I explained that you do as stated on the back of the voucher to which the manager (Kerry) pipes up “no we don't, theres no way to process them through the till”. I said that just because you don't know how to process them doesn't mean you don't take them but she out and out refused to accept them. I left the store and called customer service speaking to a guy called Usman who was perfectly nice but no help what so ever and told me to contact my employer. I then decided to call another Blacks store (Newbury) to see if they knew how to process the vouchers. I spoke to a lady called Tanya who did so asked if it was ok for Basingstoke Blacks to call her so that they could process the vouchers. With some huffing and puffing she agreed. I have now been back in Blacks Basingstoke and waited 20-30 mins to be told that they need to get in touch with IT and could I come back in two hours!!!!! Completely useless. You need to train you staff better so they know what they are doing!

My reply to your reply - Did you read my review at all? If you had you would already see that I had contacted your customer service and spoken to Usman. ENOUGH SAID!

A massive thanks to Nion today. He couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and he was really knowledgeable. I wish every retail experience was this good. Also, a nod to the other team members they were also really friendly and cared about delivering a really good customer experience. We will be back.

I’d like to say a big thank you to John for the excellent service he gave me. I bought a really nice coat, and he took the time to explain everything clearly, including the temperature ranges and how it would perform in different conditions. His knowledge was very helpful and made me feel confident in my choice.

He was also very kind and friendly, and we even had a great conversation about Dan Osman, the free climber who is one of my heroes. It made the whole experience very enjoyable and personal.

John is a real credit to Mountain Warehouse, and I truly appreciate his help. Thank you again

We were served by Nion who was polite and helpful. He allowed me plenty of time to try on and choose and offered useful advice.
The staff on the till were equally friendly.
All in all it was a delightful shopping experience. I felt valued as a customer and I shall be happy to shop at Blacks again.

John was very patient and courteous to our walking shoe fitting needs.
Nothing was too much trouble and the decision to purchase was unpressurised.

Another visit for walking boots, attended to by Angus, who was most helpful, helping me try on several pairs until I was happy with my purchase. Bought two pairs of walking boots and a rucksack. Great service by Angus and the lad at the till, and great prices too. Keep up the good works.

I had a good experience and Staff names John help me to find a right item. Thank you for your help and love the quality of clothes and hiking shoes.

We went into our local branch to look at getting a pair of walking boots each. Nion was very helpful without being pushy, he listened to our questions and answered them, giving three options of shoes that he would recommend. Would recommend :)
