Served by Lee in Shrewsbury, Very helpful friendly store, answered all my questions cheerfully and had a nice chat with me, its nice to see happy people around who are willing to have a chat 😊

Visited Blacks store in shrewsbury today to buy a pair of walking boots, a walking stick and some Tech wash.

We were served by Lee who was helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Both me, my partner and my friend went in to Shrewsbury Store 04/04/2026 this was yesterday and we were made to feel very uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in we were followed around by staff and then at one point a member of staff was stood right next to us and my partner heard a message come threw on the radio on full volume saying keep an eye on the people in the blue coat and grey now I had a grey jacket on,he had blue coat on. Due to this we just walked out, I appreciate they have a job to do but they need to be more tactful and possibly need more training on how to aproach situations like this. The shop was empty there was more staff than customers in the shop so there was no need to follow us around like that, they could of just watched and done there job from afar rather than being in our space if they felt this way. We had absolutely no bags or anything on us just the cloths we were wearing,very unprofessional. I've never shop lifted in my life and to be made to feel like we were thieves from the moment we walked in its there lose. We were generally looking around but we were also looking at tents for future weekend breaks. I will never set foot in blacks again and I will take my custom else where.

Excellent service from both gentlemen, Dan & Josh in helping me choose walking poles, needed after a spinal op. One helped me inthe choose,then another set them up at the correct height for me.

My husband had surprised me with a birthday trip to Finland this January ‘26 and we ventured into Blacks, Shrewsbury with no experience of -24 degrees temperatures!!! Luckily for us the wonderful most helpful friendly professional Lee greeted us and guided towards waterproof boots , external warm clothing, thermal layers, gloves and hats not forgetting superduper exceptional warm toasty socks! His help and expertise was invaluable and enabled us to have the most fantastic 5 days keeping warm and dry and looking like locals!!🤣 A big shoutout and huge Thanks to Lee.. you’re a star 🌟

Josh and Alex served me this morning and were superb. Went the extra mile, dug deep in the back to find what I wanted and then demonstrated how to use it. Lovely guys and a great shopping experience. Thank you so much

Excellent service from Lee at Blacks in Shrewsbury. Very attentive and patient when I was choosing new walking boots. Received great advice which helped me make an informed decision. The whole team at Blacks in Shrewsbury are brilliant.

Very helpful and customer friendly service from Charlotte and Josh on mens and ladies coats for rainy days. No pressure to purchase and given plenty of time to make a decision. Left as 2 happy customers delighted with purchases.

I came into Blacks today (03/03/2026) and was after a new day rucksack for my hikes. I happened to get served by Molly (who I have been served by before) and again was the most stress free shopping experience. I got to try a few different sizes along with changing the back length for me to make sure if fitted as it should. While doing this we have a chat both the outdoors and you can tell she has a passion for the outdoors, which is great to see when going into an outdoor pursuit shop.

I walked away with a smile and day backpack that is all fitted and ready for me to use!
