very knowledgeable and thorough.
I had sudden hearing loss and to be thorough i visited and had 5 hearing tests. Boots was most thorough and only one what an insulated noise chamber to better remove external none test noises. With one audiologist I could hear phones and conversations outside. another had someone typing so hard to tell what i was supposed to hear and what i wasn’t.

We visited Stratford-upon-Avon last weekend. We are from the Netherlands, and whenever we are in the UK, we always stop by Boots. We love the Michum deodorant. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in our country, so visiting Boots saves us the shipping costs.
Normally, this isn’t a problem, but this time we were treated so poorly that I wondered: how are shoplifting issues handled here? We wanted to buy 20 deodorants, but there were only 8 on the shelf. My husband asked the cashier if they might have more in the back.
Suddenly, an older staff member, who had overheard, interfered. We were told that we were not allowed to buy more than 10 items—even together—and the tone was absolutely unbelievable. This lady should be kept in the basement so she doesn’t scare away all the customers!
Firstly, the store only had 8 items, so there was no reason for this reaction. Secondly, we have been using this deodorant for more than 15 years, and when we normally buy it in London, we have always been able to purchase as many as we needed. And thirdly, maybe it is now impossible to sell more, but I don’t understand—it’s a shop, after all, and tone makes all the difference!
If we return to Stratford, we will certainly not go to Boots again.
