Lovely people, very helpful

My son-in-law lost both keys to his Renault Clio, requiring the ordering and reprogramming of a new set. The keys were ordered on 23rd September and the car was booked in as early as it could, to have the work completed, on 10th October.
As we had a recovery truck booked on 10th October to drop the car to Brayleys, I checked several times with the dealer that the keys had arrived.
The car was dropped at the dealers as agreed, as well as the key work, the car was having an MOT and Service.
Later that afternoon I checked when the car would be ready to collect, but was told that the keys were not in the dealership after all.
I asked if a courtesy car could be provided so my SIL could get to work, however, none were available and so I said he would have to hire one and recover the costs.
Having discussed this with the Service Team, they said this would not be possible, I asked to speak to the DP, however, I was directed to Aftersales Manager Mark Fraser.
Mark reiterated that Brayleys couldn't reimburse the cost of a hire car, but asked that we leave the issue with him so he could make enquiries the next day. Speaking to Mark the next day he confirmed that he couldn't find a courtesy car, nor fund a hire car, but instead said he would wave the cost of the key programming, MOT and Service as a gesture of good will and in recognition of the issues and impact the delays had caused.
While my SIL had to find alternative arrangements to get into work the next week, the keys were delivered into the dealers and the work on the car was completed a further 72 hours later.
Overall, this was a very pragmatic solution to the situation and I thank Mark for his efforts.
I dropped a star on this review to reflect the initial misinformation regarding parts availability. I have no doubt this will be rectified going forwards.

Friendly helpful staff and professional, excellent service carried out.

I can't fault the service at all. My Motability car due for it's first service and Brayley contacted me to make an appointment, which was handled efficiently. The car was collected from my home, serviced, valeted and returned within about five hours.

Excellent service from the team. Staff were knowledgeable and efficient from start to finish. Clear information was provided throughout. Would highly recommend for MOT and service.

My Mazda RX8 developed a fault and required a diagnostic. Unfortunately there was a long wait for an appointment.
I explained to Mark Fisher, Service Manager, that I needed the car urgently for work and he and the mechanics went above and beyond to find the fault and repair it much earlier than I’d expected.

The service department never answer their phones, I rang repeatedly over a number of days.
They let me know that they were keeping my car further than agreed after I had to track them down by phoning the sales dept and threatening to speak to the manager as no one had rang me all day and I knew they garage was shutting within the hour.
The courtesy car was electric with only 100 miles, not enough for me to drive to my home, go to work and and take it back. So I had to drive back again to pick up another car that would be appropriate for hire. When I took the car back it had over 300 miles of petrol that cost me £30 as they said they needed it for a further day, turned out they didn't and it seems entirely unfair that I have not been reimbursed the money I spent because of their repeated blunders. when I picked it up it had with about 80 miles, I was promised that someone would have a word about a good will gesture... but what a surprise no further contact.

Tony was very knowledgeable and helpful. I like it that he was persuasive as opposed to pushy.

Very helpful and polite staff, from booking my car service appointment to the actual day. I was kept informed of the progress from start to finish. Well done to all.

After waiting over 9 months for a part, they rung me to make an appointment for my car to go in I explained that the boot still wasn’t locking properly which has been an issue when I first went to Brayleys, they said that wasn’t a problem and they would check it again.
I told them I would need a courtesy car as I live in Heath and reach so when I get there they inform me my car was a geared car ( I drive an automatic) and I would need to pay £40.00 I said it’s still under warranty and the three times before I wasn’t charged. I also said I was expecting a like for like car as I haven’t driven a geared car for years. I was called back after four and I asked if the boot was sorted and was told they didn’t have time! They didn’t charge me for courtesy car.
the boot was a problem the last two times it’s been in they said they couldn’t find a problem, but it’s still not shutting every time and I need to press the button

First time here .all the staff were so helpful.not at all pushy like others i went in today .hence i will be collecting my car next week .they wouldn't be more helpful .very much recommended

I was expecting a call, after applying online to book an appointment for MOT & fitting of a replacement light.
I didn’t hear back, so I contacted Brayleys, Milton Keynes by phone. From there, everything went very well. Lorraine pleasantly made the appointment for MOT and noted my other requests. On the day, my car was collected and delivered back to my home by a helpful and polite young man. I also had a call to say that staff were trying to source the replacement part needed for the repair job and they told me that I would be offered a new appointment when they had done that.
