Bought a car from Alan Dunn (Ayr) excellent service & happy with my new car

Liam was a great sales personnel the little problems I had with the car were resolved quickly.Would definitely recommend bridgend garage.

Sales agent was helpful and answered any questions that I had, and ironed out any problems that occurred.

Now I've bought two good wee runners from vehicle trade centre (Bridgend cheaper cars) and not had an issue but this time I bought a VW and done all my usual checks to minimise any issues occurring but after one week I had a number of faults on the dash. They happily took the car in to change an ABS sensor but never bothered to tell me it was ready and caught them just before they all left but hey ho they were nice enough.

A few months later the same fault surfaced but this time given the time frame from buying I took it to my usual garage since they were changing a tyre anyway. ABS sensor I said to them only to be called to tell me it's not the issue. The ABS sensor had been tightly cable tied to remove the faults (showed me) and just given back to me when the issue is the ABS pump which is more expensive to repair. I'm also told the car has significant suspension issues which would have been evident when they were preparing the car for sale and they gave it an MOT!!! At it

I'm really angry yet not surprised given some stories I've heard over the years.

Seen someone post cowboys about them and I agree. If buying a fairly new car you are unlikely to have an issue but older cars that require some work there's a chance like me they'll just funny it up and flip it on

Service was crap they said they would fix the fault on the car before I went and picked it up and they did not they told a lot of lies to get their sale hardly any petrol in the tank also it got me to the next petrol station I shoul not have had to go and get petrol to get home as far as I’m concerned bunch of cowboys and will not do business with them again,word of mouth will get around

The before sale with absolutely no pressure to buy , the communication during sale was easy to understand, paperwork was done sitting at home , no running up and down to showroom . Our new car was checked and double checked and immaculate when collecting , Allan our sales rep was excellent, answering all our questions, very happy with service.
